Fantastic experience: OMG Some friends, who are regulars, recommended Bliss when we discussed getting massages while in Oakland. Holy Cow!! Absolutely Amazing Both my spouse and I had phenomenal massages from Mona!! Super quick online registration to sign the waiver in advance. Simple one page informational form to fill out upon arrival. She went over things thoroughly, but efficiently. She was warm, friendly, professional and highly competent. Checked in on the pressure during the service, and overall, obviously very skilled. Highly recommend You will not be disappointed

Fantastic experience: Bliss Fitness is one of the most wonderful gifts I have ever given myself. Mona and the Bliss team have created a space that is kind and welcoming to all, and brings joy to movement. The personal trainer I work with, Kino, has developed a program for me that is equal parts strength, cardio, and physical therapy, and is encouraging me to be my strongest self yet. I’ve never had so much fun getting back into shape!

Fantastic experience: After injuring my shoulder shoveling snow while in the mountains during snowpocalyose last winter, I knew it was time to get my body back in shape. Enter, Bliss Fitness and Health! From the first Rebel Recess class that I took, I have never felt more comfortable (except for the burpees!!) or more welcomed into a fitness space. The teachers are fantastic; the space is gorgeous; and most importantly after every class I feel euphoric, strong, and, dare I say, filled with bliss.

That being said, we also find time for levity and we're happy that you've been playing along with us as we explore movements.
Fantastic experience: Bliss has completely changed my life. Mona and Tyler's workouts are engaging and fun, and I have a consistent fitness routine for the first time ever. They foster a wonderful sense of community, make everyone feel included, are down to work with different people's different needs, and take the time to teach proper form. Fantastic experience: I love this place! I started the group fitness classes here about four months ago. Prior to that, both cost and motivation tended to be major barriers to finding a fitness routine that worked for me. Bliss has a monthly subscription plan that I can afford and the classes are so engaging that I actually look forward to my workout days! The instructors always demo everything and offer modifications so that the workout is challenging but still doable for any fitness level. The ability to attend live classes virtually and use the video library have also been game changers for my fitness life. Not only does it keep things affordable for me, but I spend all of my workout energy on the fantastic workouts the instructors have designed and none of it commuting to the studio. It's a great community, so if I ever do have the energy reserves to get to the studio, I do it. (It's a nice space!). But the instructors are just as attentive to the attendees at home as the ones in the studio, so I don't feel like my workout suffers for not being there. Since starting at Bliss I feel stronger and more connected with my body. I highly suggest trying this place!

Fantastic experience: The group classes are wonderful and most are available in person and over video. I've recently started a 12 month personal training regime to help me get moving and Tyler is very thoughtful of my condition when designing the sessions. While I haven't partaken of the massage, I hear all the practitioners are quite good. Lastly, Mona is a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. Her energy and enthusiasm is infectious, so if you go to class, you should expect to come out smiling.

Fantastic experience: Love this fitness gym. The owner, Mona, is a fabulous, knowledgeable instructor who makes sure you get a good workout but keeps things light and fun. She also makes everyone feel welcome and fosters a great sense of community. The other instructors are excellent too. Glad I found this place. It’s hidden from the street so you wouldn’t know it’s there.

Fantastic experience: Bliss Fitness and Health is one of the best experiences I've ever had when it comes to working out! Mona is an incredibly caring, knowledgeable, well-trained, inclusive instructor/owner/human. She creates a safe environment for those that come to the studio and it feels like a community of all the best people that attend. The classes are so much fun. Rebel Recess is my personal favorite since it is a good mix of cardio and strength, and provides ample time for goofiness and laughter depending on whatever creative workout Mona has thought up for the day. Fantastic experience: I am so fortunate to have discovered Bliss Fitness. When I first started going to Bliss (first for classes, then for both personal training and classes), I had recently given birth to my first child and was hit with the realization that I needed to be physically stronger and more fit so that I could do all the things that I wanted to do with him. Through personal training and attending classes at Bliss, I have developed an awareness of the muscles of my body that I never thought possible. This gives me tools to check in with my body — no matter what I’m doing — to ensure that I’m using the appropriate muscles and helping to guard myself from being hurt. The owner of Bliss Fitness, Mona, has so many super powers. Among them is her ability to make working out fun and to help you develop that body awareness that allows you to connect what you’re doing to the body part doing it. I literally never know I had lats before working out with her. Now I know what my lats are and how to engage them when cooking, working out — even sitting at my computer! When I started at Bliss, I had been nursing a three year knee energy. The Bliss instructors and trainers worked with me to strengthen the muscles around my knee and change my movement patterns. I used to avoid squats and would have to brace myself before doing them. Now, I do squats when gardening just cause I can and it feels so good to use my body in a purposeful way. Working with Bliss has made me stronger, increased my endurance, and given me an appreciation for exercise that I NEVER thought possible, so much more confidence, and even love for my body.
Fantastic experience: What an absolute gem of a gym Bliss Fitness is – I have never found such a supportive, inclusive, and kind group of people to work out with! Every class is uniquely crafted to combine powerful workouts with so many elements of fun sprinkled throughout. Being a member here has reminded me of how much joy moving my body can bring, and I'm so grateful to the entire team (especially to the owner Mona, who is an absolute energizer bunny of inspiration) for creating this magical space!

Fantastic experience: I was so lucky to find Bliss! I had been considering finding a personal trainer to help with my fitness goals for a while, and Mona is just about the best I could have hoped for. The studio is very focused on what the client's goals are, what is important to that person, and how to achieve those goals in a healthy way. I feel like Mona pays very close attention to my form and progress, and is always mindful of injury or other body issues. For me it's a shoulder issue, so she modifies exercises as needed and checks in to make sure we're not aggravating anything. The studio itself is warm and inviting with a great set of gear and different areas for different things. And there is easy and free street parking! I *highly recommend* Bliss and Mona for any and all training/fitness/strength/conditioning needs!

Fantastic experience: Bliss Fitness is a beautiful, clean, and welcoming gym in Oakland, CA for all fitness levels. I've recently started up again with TRX class, which is an incredible full body workout without it feeling too strenuous -- I can appreciate that! If you want to ease back into it, try the new stretching class or yoga with Shanti. I've enjoyed a great boost in my energy after taking just one class. I am hooked! Working out is seriously FUN at Bliss Fitness! Also, the owner Mona knows body movement well (also is a massage therapist and personal trainer) and I've recently learned she gives a great foam rolling class!

Fantastic experience: I have been receiving personal fitness training and massage at Bliss Fitness and Health, and have nothing but wonderful things to say about them. My trainer Carrie is awesome, and Mona is an excellent massage therapist and is helping me work out my tight shoulders and neck from excess computer work. Looking forward to taking classes there as well!

Fantastic experience: In November 2020, I was so fortunate to discover an outdoor TRX class hosted by the amazing Mona Meline of Bliss Fitness and Health. Mona is one of those magical Bay Area people who is so good at creating community. Those TRX classes were SUCH a mental health lifeline for so many of us during the dark winter days of the pandemic and I'm so grateful for Mona Meline and the warm and welcoming folks I have come to know in classes. When Mona reopened the studio in Oakland, I attended classes there and the space in the studio is beautiful, full of light and so warm and welcoming. If you are looking for an awesome fitness community led by a kind and creative and fun fitness instructor - Bilss is the place for you! So grateful that the universe brought this joy into my life!

Fantastic experience: I love Mona and the Bliss community!! The full body workouts are fun with great music and lots of variety. Mona has deep anatomy knowledge and provides modifications for any fitness level. Her energy and levity make it a wonderful experience every time. I'm getting great results while enjoying myself. I am happy and proud to support a small, woman-owned studio versus a chain, run-of-the-mill gym. Mona also gives amazing massage. She is intuitive, strong, gentle and talented in providing a relaxing environment to allow your stress to melt away. She will customize the experience to meet what you need that day - be it working out the muscle knots or just some relaxing touch. Bliss is truly an appropriate name for this studio, both in the workouts offered as well as the massage.

Fantastic experience: Got the 12 pack of personal training sessions with Mona. She was great. Wanted to improve my core and upper body strength and overall fitness. Great sessions, worked within my limitations and to achieve goals. In 12 sessions I double my plank time and increased my over all strength. Great way to jump start myself into a regular fitness routine. Will return for group classes.

Fantastic experience: Bliss is a bright and beautiful space, filled with a fun and supportive community of people trying to get/be/stay fit. Fantastic experience: I've been working out at Bliss Fitness for the past few month and this place is amazing. Great people, beautiful space, and fun workouts. I have had no trouble finding parking nearby. It's also conveniently located above a coffee shop which makes a post workout coffee or snack super easy. So far, I am a huge fan of the Saturday Rebel Recess and Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes. Rebel Recess incorporates games with a challenging circuit, and the Vinyasa Flow Yoga is both relaxing and technically challenging. The instructors for ewch class (Mona and Vanessa respectively) are engaging and very welcoming. The gym tends to be on the cold side, so I recommend you bring a flexible layer until you get warm. Instructors are friendly, helpful, and open to feedback. There's a lot to love about this gym. Sign up for a class, massage, or just dive right in the $40 intro pass today!!

Fantastic experience: This is the most beautiful studio I've ever worked out in. And the instructors are so fun and knowledgeable. I've been getting personal training from Mona Meline and she is the best trainer I've had, and I've had several over the years. She creates workouts for me based on my need for variety. She makes sure I'm really warmed up beforehand and stretched out after my workout. She also provides me with a lavender scented cold cloth that is heaven on my hot sweaty face and neck. My strength, endurance, balance, and range of motion have significantly improved since we started training. I've also been benefiting from a monthly massage at Bliss with a therapist who is able to offer feedback to my trainer about the subtle aspects of my body and what areas need more attention, or how I might be favoring one side over another. It's like I have a team behind me. I just can't say enough about this place.
It's so wonderful to see your progress and your willingness to take care of yourself by sticking to your commitments with health. You're doing amazing! And it's an absolute joy to work with you; it's people like you that are the WHY for Bliss to exist.
