Fantastic experience: Positive: Quality Awesome gym!! Very clean, great weights, cardio equipment, turf room, and hot sauna. Never gets too busy. Prices are reasonable. Gay friendly and very inclusive! Much better experience than the big chain gyms.

Negative experience: They are asking $35 a month for what? doesn’t have near as much equipment as other gyms. I used to be a member for over 2 years when the price was right but now it’s just too much for what they offer. They also delay the process of canceling your membership so you at least pay an extra month that you aren’t planning on using. It’s all about money here. They keep raising their prices they are going to go out of business

Fitness:1440 Bend

Cost of doing business has increased as it does every year and much more so because of Covid. From rent to disinfecting equipment and supplies, taxes, etc. We are not charging $35 to make money, we're doing this to survive the Covid 19 pandemic like so many business are. We're not the only gym in town that has had to raise prices.The 30 day cancelation policy is and has been standard on all membership contracts, except for paid in fulls. As one of the largest gyms in the area, we feel like we offer a huge variety of free weights and machines and we especially like our turf room with lifing platforms. But we truly hope you find a gym that better suits your needs because physical health is so important and we hope you keep it up, no matter where you end up!

Fantastic experience: this is the greatest gym in have been to! it has everything to offer and even when the parking lot is full. you can still feel alone in there because its huge! absolutely love it. and the staff is above and beyond amazing. and the new owner is awesome! definitely recommend 1440 for anybody wanting a gym to call home!

Positive experience: Friendly staff, old equipment not well maintained or cleaned. Also the owner doesn't want to spend more on insurance to provide better personal trainers that have more certifications or experience. So if you're looking for personal training definitely going to get what you buy.

Thank you, we agree, we have friendly staff! Yes, our equipment is older but we do clean, disinfect and sanitize multiple times a day. What pieces of equipment were not maintained when you were there? Please let us know because we take pride in providing safe equipment for use. I'm a little confused about the spending more on insurance for better personal trainers comment because the level of personal training you get depends on your trainer, not insurance. You could pay an excessive amount on insurance and still have terrible trainers or vice versa. All our trainers have obtained their personal training certification through a program certified by the NCCA (National Commission for Certifying Agencies). They also complete a number of other certifications that expand their knowledge and or help them specialize in specific areas of training, nutrition, bio mechanics, etc. Seems like you might have been a guest at our club since we can't find you in our system as a member, but we would like to offer you a session with a different trainer to improve your experience. We have great, knowledgeable trainers at our club and they all differ in their approach to training and range in experience from 6 months to 18 years. We apologize that the training you received was not what you expected. Sometimes it takes a few tries to find the right trainer that meshes well with your training style and needs. Negative experience: Good luck cancelling your membership here. They outsource accounts handling to a larger corp and require you to move 15 miles away (and provide proof) or a medical waiver (with physician's proof). This cannot be done over email. I also rarely see anyone wipe down equipment as they don't provide proper wipes. Instead they station rolls of paper towels and bottles of simple green.

Fantastic experience: My husband has a membership and the owner (Nate?) was super nice getting me a free year membership through a promotion I received at work and it’s so appreciated! The gym is clean and very spacious with lots of equipment and areas to work out.

Positive experience: This is a really underrated gym. It never seemed to get that busy, lots of room to move around in, and open 24 hours. The reason stars had to come off is on there cancellation process. They said there isn’t a cancellation fee if you are moving. That’s the reason for my cancellation. The problem is that there’s a lot of small print in the free cancellation if you move, that they don’t tel you. The main one being that you have to give 30 days notice. So be prepared to pay for an extra month that you are unable to use the gym. Also, you can’t cancel at the gym. You have to call a third party and go through an automated system to cancel.

Negative experience: They don't have racquetball, pool, nor a hot tub anymore. Newest remodel leaves a lot to be desired.. And they're outrageously expensive for what very little they offer.

Negative experience: I have been a member for 4 years. With new ownership came new staff and a raise in monthly dues.The environment has changed. The place is disgusting. I dont think the bathrooms are EVER cleaned and the screen in the media room hasn't worked in a month but they're "looking into it". Bottom line is it is time to change gyms.

Negative experience: Nothing but a terrible experience. My husband (Fiancé at the time) moved away from bend to be closer to me 6 months ago. He went in to cancel his membership and was told they could not do that for him and he would have to wait for a manager. A manager called a few days later and assured him that his membership had been cancelled. Since he moved he has been charged for his membership nearly every month anyways. He has gone into the gym IN PERSON twice on visits to bend and has been told the same thing “we’ll have a manager call you” to no avail. We try calling the gym itself and the phone rings off the hook. No matter what time of day. This is getting ridiculous and I can’t believe any one would run a business like this.

Positive experience: Pretty nice very large gym not far from downtown. They have a ton of equipment and the owner is really flexible in allowing one to try out the gym. I highly recommend it even though it’s not exactly right for me and I didn’t sign up. Worth your time to check it out though. You’ll be really happy with all the tools for you to get fit. They even have a really nice infrared sauna.

Fantastic experience: I have worked at the gym for nearly 5 years. Throughout that time, both the clients and other people who work there have been kind and helpful. They have a great variety of classes, weights and cardio machines which is nice... When you go to other gyms and can't find a machine to use, I've never had that issue here. This is one of the best gyms for the price for sure. Plus they have a movie-cardio room which I've never seen anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Fitness 1440 has everything I need to get a great workout. I love fitness classes and they have a variety to choose from. The 24 hour schedule is also nice when I get off work late. I recommend Fitness 1440 to anyone that is looking for a gym!

Fantastic experience: Everything about this gym works perfectly for me. The equipment throughout the gym are always being updated and I have never had issues with any of them. The turf room is so nice to have for many different reasons! It has large tires, battle ropes, and a sled to use for strength training. The staff and owner are awesome people and really seem to care about my well being. To finish it off the membership price is so affordable!!! And the classes come with the membership so that doesn't hurt as well. Love love this gym!!!

Positive experience: I'm happy to say that I have been a member at this facility for almost 3 years now and the previous owner compared to the new one is night and day. Nate is an outstanding owner and is very generous whenever I have come across a small problem. He is unlike most owners from a corporate point of view. I like how he tells it how it is and shows his commitment through actions without any hesitation. The gym itself is great with a huge selection of quality equipment so I never have to wait to use a machine even during busy hours. Also, having access to the gym 24 seven is very useful with my job at times. My girlfriend goes to the classes and really enjoys them. Her favorite one is the spartan fitt class. The only reason I put 4 stars is because of where its located, we have to drive about 20-25 minutes to get there since we live out of town. But it's worth it!

Negative experience: So disappointed management and customer service sucked. The manager 'Nate' has conversations with you and forgets what he 'promises' you. I tried to cancel my membership 2 months ago - was promised a free last month. My membership through my work is only $19.99. I called one week before the promised last free month to 'try it out for longer' just to make sure it was cancelled. Left 2 messages - with the promise to hear back from 'Nate'. Received a voicemail that had nothing to do with my account. Just looked at my bank record and they charged freaking $68.45 to my credit card. WTH? I went and worked out 3 times total...was so turned off by lack of working machines and customer service workers who seemed to be too busy on the phone/chatting/or wandering around and flirting - I wanted to cancel immediately, but got talked into staying with the promise of better service. Not. I knew I should have went with my gut! I now go to Orange Theory! Absolutely love it! Just FYI! I am still waiting to hear back regarding my refund. So sad that they have to steal money from your account and you have to go through the hassle of getting a refund. Grrrr....

Maria, We do apologize for the customer service issues you experienced. You were completely justified in your complaints and we thank you for bringing them to our attention. We strive to provide excellent customer service but fall short at times. These incidents are unfortunate but provide myself and staff the opportunity to learn, change and grow. We are disappointed that the second free month in September did not change your mind about our gym. We are continually striving to get better in all we do and all we provide our members. As for the charge of $68.45 on your account, we tried to collect $19.95 for your October dues which were declined by your financial institution resulting in a $23.50 service fee. There was also a $25.00 charge in November for the maintenance fee. During our phone conversation, we agreed to refund the $23.50 service fee and the $25.00 November maintenance fee which we have done. Again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience we have caused you. We are disappointed we have lost a member but wish you the best.

Positive experience: Great gym, super affordable, every option you could need for weight lifting, cardio, stretching, mma, and functional fitness. My only complaints are two things that management could easily fix if they give a damn: 1 - there should be towels available 2 - the infared sauna should be between 120-130 fahrenheit, but it never goes over 105. This defeats the purpose. Get it fixed or you are just wasting energy. Everyone just sits in there and complains and talks about how other gyms have better saunas. You don’t need to lose your business for something this simple.

Negative experience: Crappy gym, had someone harassing me on multiple occasions and told the staff... they did NOTHING about it so I tried to cancel my membership only to find out it required a 30 day notice and I would be billed for one more month despite not feeling physically safe or comfortable going in there anymore. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Negative experience: This place recently changed the billing service they use and managed to rack up $75 on my card in a month (my membership was only $24). went in to talk to them about it and got no help besides cancelling my membership. emailed support got no response. I was then charged another $30 in charges this month and I can't even workout bc I'm not a member! Absolute scam, completely fraudulent charges. Visa will be resolving this issue. And whoever owns this gym owes me an apology and $105 (resolve my issue and I''ll retract this review)

Positive experience: Good cheap gym. Has everything you could need. People and members are all pretty chill. Overall it's a no frills gym. All the staff are awesome. There's a couple of bs "equipment fees" they slap on you throughout the year so the overall composite price a year isn't as good as you might expect. Cancelling isn't the easiest. Have to give them 30 days notice.

Positive experience: I have been in the fitness industry for 9 years, and I am particular about any gym I join. That being said this gym ticked the boxes. Not too expensive, Olympic lifting area, function movement area, and machines for every major isolation. On top of that two separate cardio areas and a sauna in each locker room up is a great feature.

Positive experience: I didn't get a full membership here because of the price (for almost the amount you pay here, you can get a membership at Juniper and have access to pool, sauna, etc.) however, I liked the facility overall. Never seemed too busy when I tried it out. The movie room is great. Biking in a theatre setting!

Fantastic experience: The staff here are friendly and the gym is more open than I'm used to. The personal trainer's enthusiasm is contagious! After a year and a half of workouts, my desire for total fitness has been reignited! This is a great gym (Redmond).

Negative experience: I signed up for a trial membership and specifically asked if there was a commitment or an automatic renewal. The girl I signed up with reassured me multiple times that it was not automatic. Well, since May 2016 I have been receiving calls saying I owe payments. I have spoken with management and instead of acknowledging a miscommunication or lack of communication by the staff, they continue to harangue me. Clearly I am not the only person in this situation, as multiple other non-members seem to be in the same situation as him. I simply can't get Fitness 1440 to acknowledge I am no longer active and will not pay for a service I am not, and will not, use. For gym usage, it's just a a funky layout. For example, the machines and dumbbells are in different floors so you can't superset anything. Older place, lots of different equipment types, etc. My girlfriend and I both tried all the gyms in Bend. This was our least favorite gym in Bend before all the membership issues, hence why I didn't convert to a membership.
