Fantastic experience: The pool is clean they have nice events like the chess club every Thursday.sports is okay there are zero teachers for basketball we were lucky to get a teacher. It’s nice!!

Negative experience: Way to expensive outrageous prices

Negative experience: Will never take kids here to swim again they charge babies to get in the pool I feel the babies should get in free . They also do not allow you to use your own floaties in the pool. They had options for life jackets for the kids and literally almost all the life jackets the straps were broken !

Fantastic experience: We love the View. Our favorite thing is coming in at 6am and being greeted at the front desk by Helen and her friendly smiling face! She is always so happy!

Negative experience: Pool closed wanted to charge full price day pass for my wife and I for our kids to use splash pad

Fantastic experience: I love the view! I love the pool and the lifeguard staff is so friendly! I love how they always enforce the rules to keep people safe! I also think it’s amazing how they don’t allow inflatable devices because they are a safety risk to children seeing as how the floatie can pop or flip over at any given moment. Also, in aquatics just like everything else, rules and procedures are always changing due to updated research and information. The aquatics facility is amazing at keeping the rules up to date. In addition, I also love seeing the kayak team and snorkeling team in the aquatics area! They are trained professionals that use the facility and follow the pool rules considering they don’t use inflatable flotation devices but rather professional equipment!

Negative experience: I am beyond frustrated with the ridiculous policies at our community pool. First, they allow kayaks—KAYAKS—yet baby floaties are strictly forbidden. How does that make any sense? Now, they’ve introduced a new rule banning swim masks with snorkels. This is absurd and completely impractical for families trying to enjoy a day at the pool. It feels like they're going out of their way to make the pool experience as inconvenient as possible. One star, and that’s being generous.

Negative experience: Daycare was not good , it was obvious the lady in charge of daycare today doesn’t have any patience for kids. My kids have went there many times when the young adults were running it, they have always done a great job soothing them and taking care of them while I workout. However today the lady refused to watch my youngest who is 4 because he was crying. I pay $75 for the family plan non resident for them to not even try taking care of them ,it feels like a waste .

Fantastic experience: Brought my daughter and her friend to use the pool during Grandviews spring break. Everyone we encountered was friendly and the pool area is nice and clean. The only thing I don't really like is having to pay 10 bucks for myself to sit there and watch the kids play. Maybe half price if anything.

Negative experience: This place is terrible just because someone lives in your house. They will put you guys on the same account. Even after telling them that you want a separate account. Now I have a bill for something I didn’t do. The manager Justin weaver have no understanding and just don’t care. I will never come back a lot people in Grandview hate this place and now I see why. They definitely need a different manager because justin weaver sucks.

Fantastic experience: Just joined for the first time, and I think it is a great place so far. The staff is very friendly and the fitness area had everything I needed. It helps that it is walking distance from my house!

Negative experience: Customer service is 1 star, equipment is 4 star. Rude and unwilling to help and ignorant to answer basic questions. They are often overstaffed with teenagers walking around on their phones talking with friends. Would be nice if they had a membership without the court and pool bc I never use them. The morning people are usually nice, but evening people are always rude/don't want to help and on their phones. The manager should watch the cameras while they aren't present at the desk to see the teenagers all of a sudden act like their working when the manager comes back lol. It's pretty funny.

Fantastic experience: If you live in Grandview this is a really good community center that will accommodate you and your family. The pricing is affordable and they have plenty of activities. My kids love the splash park and during the winter the indoor pool. There are also activities for adults like the paint and sip and sometime concerts. The place is nice and well maintained. We have enjoyed it since becoming members this year.

Fantastic experience: I love the ladies that work at the front, they’re always so nice and we love to say hi. Dove in the kids zone is so sweet with the kids, and I love that I can trust her to take good care of my kids while I work out in the mornings. The workout equipment is in good shape, and the locker rooms are nice. My kids love to come here and swim as well.

Negative experience: Decided to have a day of aquatic meditative medicine today but when I got there Tyler had made an executive decision to take away the day pass privileges. He refused to reveal the reason why. I asked if someone died and he said no, this is the only plausible reason you could possibly tell the community that you can't service them today. Owners, I think the community needs an explanation. I also think Tyler shouldn't be making decisions like this with out consultation

Fantastic experience: The staff is attentive and polite. They always greet you with a smile even when it's obvious they are having hard days. I appreciate the continuous upgrades to the systems and website as well.

Negative experience: All they care about is $$$ .

Fantastic experience: I love it there! The ladies at the front desk in the morning are so nice and friendly! It's a little crowded right now due to the new year new me people joining but usually not too bad.

Negative experience: We had to come here for my son's basketball game. When we tried to come in they wouldn't even let my son go down the stairs to join his team. We had to drive around and park somewhere else to be admitted. I've never felt like a third class citizen until today. The lady at the front desk was exceptionally rude. After trying 3 doors he was finally let in.... this is one of the worst places I've ever been to. The staff is completely rude and I do not recommend this place at all.

Fantastic experience: The View is fantastic. I became a member a couple of months ago & I couldn't be more satisfied. The pricing on membership is affordable, as is childcare. The staff (especially the training staff) are wonderful. I've had them come over & give me tiny gems that have made working out so much better. Going to the gym when you are overweight & out of shape can be intimidating, but the staff & patrons make it a comfortable environment right as you walk in the doors. Love the fitness area, as well as the pool & gym. I haven't tried any of the classes yet, but when I do--I'm sure they'll be great!! Love The View! && Anyone giving them less than 5 stars is ridiculous. Sorry to all of you 4 star-ers, but REALLY?!? This is a great facility, and it does (free) things for the community on a large scale: Boo At The View, most recently. There isn't another gym in Kansas City that is as affordable & well maintained as The View. & To the man who saw a staff member racially profiling: have you been back? I would say that The View has a fantastic mix of every color under the sun & we're all there just enjoying getting healthier together. In my two+ months there, I haven't seen or experienced anything that was inappropriate in that way. In fact, when I was getting my membership, a mother of several children was complaining about them not having the rock-climbing wall open for her children (it has specific hours) & demanding that they give her more day passes for another day. They were handling that situation much better than I would have. Bottom Line: Great gym. Great staff. Great experience.

Fantastic experience: I am a regular at The View and it is awesome. The pools are really awesome. They are indoor which is so helpful for people like me with fair skin. The gym is great. I go everyday. In my opinion, I think it is completely worth the price you pay. If you're thinking about getting a membership, I'd highly recommend it. The only thing I don't like about The View is the fact that the staff aren't always super friendly. They aren't ever mean, they just seem like they don't like their job. I love the facility, though! Great place!

Positive experience: Normally I would give a 5 star but took my grand daughter today to swim and I had to pay to get in...they should not make parents or grand parents of children pay if they are only coming in to keep a eye out for that child...makes no since to me for any parent to pay unless they are swimming too. All I did was sit there

Positive experience: The View is a good gym only if you know what you are doing. It also caterers to Senior Citizens. All water aerobic and most classes are held on weekday mornings. So if you work and want to do water aerobics, you are out of luck. The equipment is good, mostly new. If you need instruction on the equipment get a good App, because there is no one around to ask!

Positive experience: I have enjoyed my dance classes with Erin there and am very disappointed that today is the last one. The facility is nice and the staff is nice, but I don't understand this decision.

Negative experience: It’s not a place if your young like me I’m 16 have friend who doesn’t have a membership so I brought my guess pass they didn’t want to let her in cause we needed a adult I find it funny because my parents were at work just wanted to have a some fun at the pool guess not ‍♀️

Negative experience: Could be a great place but they do not have NOT one basketball court outside the view. They have skate boarding in the park for the kids. I even see where they play soccer and football in the field. But nothing for the kid's who play basketball. It would be nice to have a outdoor basketball court outside the view. All kids don't skate board are play soccer. I Live in Grandview for about ten years and that's all I hear the kid's talking about is playing basketball.

Fantastic experience: Started my daughter her own membership it was a smooth transition the manager came out and assisted. The facility was clean and neat everyone was friendly, had a great time.

Positive experience: The only thing I didn't like was that the Entrance I was taken wasn't the right Entrance but once I drove to the right Entrance I was greeted by A very sweet guy and he helped me with the reason I was there

Fantastic experience: This is the first gym I had when I arrive in the US and my husband been going here since this is close to their house(family house) in Grandview . But when we moved out to our own house, we live in Lees Summit I really miss this gym. One of the things that I do really love about this place, is they have a good place outside if you want to jog and am loving their inside pool so so much. Because, in the gym where we had membership with has no gym though they have massage facilities, the tanning beds and so much more but I can trade all of them with the indoor swimming pool of this recreation center.

My 9 year old is taking individual swim lessons here & her trainers have brought her from someone who only play in knee high water to a little swimming machine. They taught her to float on her back, go under water to pick up weighted objects. And had great communication.

Fantastic experience: I love swimming here! The lifeguards are very kind and always on top of things. My only issue with The View is with the people at the front desk. There seems to be a lack of communication with them and the pool staff and they had an attitude with me for no apparent reason! Aside from that, I would definitely recommend coming here!

Negative experience: I would like to thank Ms. Dana (swim instructor and pool manager) for her lack of interest in assisting me this morning with instructions on getting my granddaughter swim lessons. I apparently was not given correct or adequate information last week on registering my granddaughter (which I’ve learned happens often due to lack of knowledge at the front desk). I could have looked passed that because things are always ever changing trying to get back to some level of normalcy. But I contacted The View to verify if I had enough time this morning to register and pay the $50 for the 8 sessions of swim lessons and what I got was a stern, rude, sharp tongue of a woman that had no interest at all in clearing up my confusion. She just kept saying “June 3 and I don’t know what you’re wanting!” So here’s what I’d like Ms. Dana- 1. Friendly customer service 2. Understanding that miscommunication happens 3. An apology for said lack of communication 4. Clarification of swim instructions (date, time, etc.) 5. Clarification on when registration needs to be completed. 6. Assurance that you are fully capable of swim instruction minus the attitude and lack of care. I will now pay more money to go outside my community because I am not convinced that my grandchild will get proper instruction with someone so unfriendly. Come on Dana we all in this together! I’m looking for some bit of normalcy for my family. How could you possibly be having a bad day? The Sun is out and you are employed! Thank you View but no thank you.

Negative experience: You can’t use the basketball gym if you pay for a day pass, when typically a day pass mean you can use anything in the gym for a day as if you were a member.

Fantastic experience: Nice bldg were they have special events. Like weddings, and other group functions They also have a skate park, and they have a huge park with miles of walking trails, with plenty of shade over the trails. I really enjoy using the trails. There are times when I spend hours just walking and admiring the the community garden, the kiddie play area has cool things to ride on. I highly recommend you check it out

Negative experience: I was highly disappointed at the customer service from the moment I and my son walked in the door..There was an older caucasian lady working the front desk, she was very sarcastic and rude to my son (20 yrs old African American)I couldn't understand why? We were there to set up for a wedding, I explained to her that I was the event coordinator and she kept talking over me! Even when I addressed her sarcastic rudeness she continued on, then turned to her coworker and whispered something that was evident about the situation and they both laughed. I will not be returning or referring any of my Brides to the View. Bad customer service goes a long way.

Negative experience: I bought a year membership in full last July so that I could use the pool. It is the only thing I go there for and it is an extremely frustrating experience everytime. The pool hours are terrible, there's only 4 lanes, and now they are closed everyday in the middle of the day, cutting pool hours by 15 hours a week. If you are looking for a place to swim laps and you work odd hours, this is not the place for you. It's apparent management is lacking. My advice, take your money and time elsewhere.

Negative experience: The place is nice inside and the woman at the front desk was very nice but that's where it changes. We were here for a birthday party and the kids went swimming. Lifeguards do not pay attention and instead on the phone with an earbud in. After change the second one was paying attention but wearing jeans and in no way ready to save a life if needed. I should also add the first one was in pants as well.

Negative experience: I think its ridiculous to have to pay 7.00 just to sit and watch your own kids!! Also we ask front desk if we could sit on the couch just to decide if we wanted to go ahead and get the membership or just pay for the day pass, he allowed us to do so, then a women walk out and told us we couldn't just sit there!! She was very rude!! As a new resident of Grandview dont think we will be going back any time soon.

Negative experience: In the mornings the barbells have plates left loaded on them. Dumbbells left on the floor and dirty towels everywhere. Staff told me nothing could be done.
