Positive experience: Great family and friend oriented place to meet, catch up, reconnect, exercise, relax and stretch nextdoor and get your hair-cut and styled also nextdoor. Available offers nutritional fitness, physical therapy, yoga classes , hitt classes, spin classes and lots of extras.

Fantastic experience: Love being at Spectrum fitness. Everyone from Mr. Frank at the front desk, the manager Bridget, and the rest of the staff. Very friendly and easy to talk to. I’ve been a member at a handful of gyms and this is by far the best one. No long waits for machines. Clean. I would be a member for life here if I wasn’t moving out of state. I wanted to leave this review as a thank you for being an awesome facility. If you’re thinking of joining, do it!

Negative experience: I'm in Baton Rouge for a month and decided to get a 30 day guest pass here. Went in on a Sunday and it was quiet. They do have quite a nice selection of machines. However, when I went to work out today there was such a complete and total lack of any sort of public decorum or gym etiquette Joey Swolle's head would've exploded! The place has a U-shaped upstairs with stair cases on either side. There was a gentleman (use that term sparingly) at the top of either stair case and they were screaming out their conversation across the U-Shape blocking both staircases. I stood at the top of one staircase for a good three minutes until I was finally noticed and he moved out of the way. Then, I set up on the bench press. The human next to me was on his phone. Screaming into air buds about to one friend about another mutual friend's divorce. I was hearing all the nitty gritty details of this encounter even though I merely wanted to lift in peace. Finally, the janitor told me I had to move my stuff cause she wanted to spray poison (industrial cleaner) all over the place and didn't want to get my things wet. I'm sure she thought this was thoughtful. But, I pointed out to her that the bench seemed rather clean and she could wait until I was done or clean another bench. She proceeded to spray stuff all over the clean bench next to me rather than moistening the rag with the cleaner and using it that way (this helps folks who are hypoallergenic). Accordingly, I went down to the front desk to relay these situations and ask if there was anything that could be done. I was told, no. I also asked if I could get a refund; again, no. Will I be returning - no.

Positive experience: I did a five-day trial membership. I was initially told on the phone that they had a hot tub but I found out that's not true. No hot tub in the entire building which was disappointing to me.. however they do have a steam room and a sauna in the men's locker room and I'm assuming also in the women's. However I had several issues with the cleanliness of the place. The tile around the entrance of the steam room was very dingy also the showers. They also have black fans mounted up on the ceiling pointing down. Which were caked up with Dust. look like they have not been cleaned in sometime. However the rest of the facility was very nice up-to-date equipment and seemed the clean and well taken care of

Fantastic experience: I came in last week to sign up and the lady working the front desk was very helpful and pleasant. She gave me a quick tour and the facility was clean with a nice locker room. I appreciate that there is a women’s only area upstairs and the equipment was not as outdated as the Monterrey location. There is merch and a smoothie bar at the entrance which is great. Definitely one of the better gyms in BR!

Positive experience: WELL EQUIPPED GYM, GROUP WORK OUTS,OR WORK OUT ALONE. A VARIETY OF CLASSES FOR DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS. PRIVATE LOCKERS, SHOWERS, SPACIOUS CHANGING ROOM.

Negative experience: Bad gym. So strict and will not let you workout unless you are 16 and if you are not they expect your parent to take you every time even though you walk there.

Positive experience: Invigorating. Love the silver sneakers coach.

Negative experience: I was wearing a crop top and leggings, and the staff told me women are not allowed to wear short shirts and asked me to cover up. Yet men walk around shirtless all the time there. I cancelled my membership immediately. Are we in 1852? Is this the Handmaid's Tale? Women have rights now and are considered human beings, FYI. If you're so scared of skin maybe you shouldn't be operating a GYM with a swimming pool....

Fantastic experience: Clean environment and good energy! Glad to be a part of a local gym while I'm here for the next couple of years.

Negative experience: Inexpensive but the facility and equipment are OLD and dingy, and there’s not enough space upstairs in the free weight section. It’s so tight, you’re literally on top of people next to you. No Olympic weight platforms - only 2 slots where you can do squats. The “women’s only” area is weak with hardly any free weights and machines that don’t work.

Negative experience: They dont pay any attention to new members. Nothing special here.

Negative experience: For those who need daycare, look somewhere else. The daycare at spectrum is closed randomly all the time with little to sometimes no notice. It’s not nice to pick your littles in the car and drive all the way to the gym to find out there’s no childcare available, even though you PAY extra for it. Also, it’s just very grimy and needs a deep cleaning in the playroom.

Negative experience: The facility itself is fantastic. I kept my membership for years after the contract term ended. However, I cancelled my membership early last October by going in and filling out a cancellation form. I was still charged later that month and again in November. After multiple calls, I finally got to speak to the manager, who attributed the charges to a 30-day notification requirement and cancellation fee. Ok, typical membership stuff, whatever. They didn’t charge me in December or on the usual date in January, so I figured it was over. But in late January and again early this month, they’ve charged me again. The fact that the January charge was for part of the monthly rate makes me think they just froze my membership and then started charging me again hoping I wouldn’t notice. It’s really shady.

Fantastic experience: Always acknowledged and greeted with a smile. Cant beat the price for this gym. Friendly and helpful staff. Love this place!

Fantastic experience: I don't know why this place does not have 24/7 membership card access yet , like the one in Central, but I would like to thank Bridget for working on New Years day so that all of us serious gym goers can get our daily pump on. Special thanks also go out to Allison, Darian, Carter, Kim, Logan, and Chris for being part of an awesome staff that you can't find at most gyms around here. Thank you for working so I can work out! I hope yalls dedication gets noticed by the managers/owners!

Fantastic experience: Spectrum Fitness is a 1st rate health club. Updated facilities, knowledgeable friendly staff and best thing is extremely clean. They have an amazing schedule of classes and weights.

Fantastic experience: Best gym around. Beautiful locker rooms, varied fitness equipment, very clean and great service. That's mainly what I need. They have other great things too like Merchandise, Free Classes, Daycare, Salon, Tanning Beds, Physical Therapy, etc.. They also have a separate fitness section for elderly, which is great for beginners and people who don't want to be rushed. All in all, if you are looking for a gym this Spectrum has made dramatic changes (been here 3 years but no complaints) and you should definitely sign up here!

Negative experience: I just joined and had my first visit and was quite surprised how tired and in need of remodel. I have been a member of both health clubs in Mandeville and spectrum does not even come close.
