Fantastic experience: Good spacious gym for workout.

Fantastic experience: Power house on a Sunday. Wasn't very crowded...the guy at the front desk, the greeting was bad ass..ade you feel at home. Was s very good workout. Machines were nice and clean. This is why I go to Power House.

Negative experience: Chris who answered the phone, was extremely rude when I was just asking simple questions about canceling my mother in laws membership, he became very frustrated/agitated when I asked for clarification I wasn’t trying to fight him on the subject JUST wanted clarification. Definitely needs to take a deep breath, I don’t know what kind of people he deals with on a daily basis but some patience towards others will go further than combativeness.

Fantastic experience: I finally found a gym that has everything I need. I love the vibe of the cardio room, the weight room & equipment room is massive, quite deceiving from the outside. Highly recommend this gym!!!!

Positive experience: I enjoy swimming,the gym is very close to my home,the staff are nice and attentive,when they are not flirting or on their phones,I really enjoy the aqua massage chair. The shower heads need to be replaced as do the curtains,starting to smell of mild. The soap is cheap and toxic,at least the pool is using a saltine solution instead of chlorine,which they use in the jacuzzi. Dry steam room needs to be cleaned often and the people need to stop playing music while inside,signs should be posted,but hey,who listens to rules.I was paying 20 now its 40 a month,but still the same old service,until I move this is were I visit.

Negative experience: Staff is too cliquey and extremely egotistical Pool is always green Equipment is old and always broken sometimes for days There’s a smell I quit my membership they tell you it’s free to quit and you just call and let them know but they make the process so difficult and charge you a hidden fee to quit. It’s not worth it I rather go out of town to work out

Fantastic experience: I like this gym. The staff is nice and helpful whenever I have a question about club or my account. There's always cleaner spray around to wipe down equipment. Love the infrared sauna (I think that's what it is). Anyways, thanks

Positive experience: For the most part I enjoy this location…the only dislike is the constant out of paper towel rolls. I personally like to wipe down the machines I use. Other than that, the staff is good and very helpful when needed. Especially when one passes out all of a sudden.

Negative experience: How's some one supposed to work out with no water? Water dispenser down again

Fantastic experience: I use to go here in 2006 before the renovation. I always liked the music they played in the gym. Now that I’m back, I like the variety of machines. I don’t have to wait long for one machine if it’s taken, there’s other options. Parking is fine. I like the extra equipment outside in the basketball court. For once, I was able to get a free bench! Usually I had to wait like 30 mins or more at other gyms. It’s not super packed like LA Fitness. Plus side, membership is cheaper here. The only thing I noticed is the women’s bathroom floors, it needs to be touched up with cleaning ‍

Negative experience: Hopefully this message is seen by someone of significance because this gym needs a complete makeover. None of the equipment is brand new, the pool area is in dire need of a facelift, and the male locker rooms/restrooms reek of piss. I’ve never seen more than 2 employees ‘cleaning’ the facilities anytime I’ve been there. The #1 reason I signed up for this gym was to make use of the boxing equipment but, the inside bag is always too crowded at my preferred time and the outside one is falling apart and arranged over uneven flooring—that’s a broken ankle for somebody! All this and you still want to charge the same amount gyms 20x better are charging? For the cherry on top, I brought my friend to workout with me the other day and front desk says it’ll be $20?! Mind you I have the highest membership you offer and I can’t even bring a friend with me ONCE for free? Unbelievable! Not only are you cutting corners but you’re gouging every chance you get, awful shame. On to the next.

Negative experience: I specifically renewed my membership for the sauna. I went there twice and it was broken both days I even called on the 2nd day I went just to make sure it was working and staff said it was. I sat in there for half an hour hoping that it would get hot and it never did. Then I called front desk and someone came and said that it was off and said she turned it on and it would be a few minutes. Another 30 more minutes of sitting and waiting just to waste my time because it never got hot it was hotter outside. I could just sit outside and it would be more of a sauna then the sauna was inside the gym and it wouldn't cost me any money. I wish I never signed up for my membership. Waste of time and money.

Negative experience: 11/20/24 update: they just charged me again after months of still not going and not being charged they just took from my bank account. Why? This is a scam to trick you I to signing up so that they can charge you randomly for the test of time IMPOSSIBLE to cancel. They finally stopped charging me when I haven't gone in almost a year but few months ths later... THEY START CHARGING ME ?? AGAIN?? clearly a scam of a business. Take yours elsewhere. Update: THEY ARE STILL CHARGING ME DO NOT GYM WITH ANY THAT IS "DBA ABC FITNESS" they are all operated the same and you will be indefinitely charged! Still can't cancel

Negative experience: Just wanted to share how disgusting powerhouse gym treats its members . I’ve been a member for over 10 years and I added my daughter , then we added another member and he didn’t have an annual fee at the time of signing the membership paperwork. . I then added 2 more members and was clearly told they had an annual fee . “ which is fine “! Then we cancel the 2 members with the annual fee a couple years later and we still get charged an annual fee . I called and spoke with Reese and he gave me some crazy excuse that it’s “NOW” added to the fourth member ( who NEVER had an annual fee) because we canceled the other 2 with an annual fee . I still can’t believe a place of business that is family owned and operated would treat a member like this over 39.99. It must be a really nasty feeling to not want to do the RIGHT thing . I was told “ NO , the fourth member NEVER had an annual fee , but because we cancelled the 2 with the fee . It has to be moved to the other member . I’m still trying to figure this out and how you can justify this logic . But at least I know what kind of character the owners have and how they treat their long time members . Thank you Reese , I appreciate you being a stand up business owner and taking care of your member with integrity ! Watch the fine print when you sign up or add a member to your account , they will switch fees around so they can ALWAYS get free money from their members .

Negative experience: I truly loved this gym. The staff was usually pretty friendly and helpful the bathrooms were never disgusting. My favorite part albeit the ONLY part of the gym I used was the bike room and I understand that it wasn’t used to its full potential and that room rarely saw guests but I was there using it every morning riding through the streets of Italy it was a nice way to start the morning. Anyway they paved the room for the weight guys like they didn’t have enough room and put the bikes in the “ballroom”. I would typically go at about 4-5am the ballroom is closed at that time so for a while I was forced to come in at a time I hated just to use the equipment when the room was unlocked. The very day the bikes were dumped in there, there were two guys setting up tripods to film and take pictures of them flexing. Tbh I’m all for it be proud of what you’ve accomplished… but to just have people in an uncomfortable situation and film it was definitely not cool for me. And I certainly didn’t have that problem in the bike room. I did mention being super uncomfortable being filmed to the front desk and was met with a shrug. I understand some people don’t see this as a bad thing but it made me so uncomfortable I ended my workout within minutes of him setting up next to me and I think a shrug as a response was NOT so cool. The fact that there was no longer the bike room and to use the bikes I’d have to go in hours after I normally would, I had decided to no longer continue service. And as others have said it is the BIGGEST pain to cancel which is so sad concerning they don’t listen to the concerns of the patrons ended up having to cancel the card I used which caused them to harass me over the phone. I’d get two calls a day one automated and one live lady (always the same lady) I told her repeatedly that I wanted to cancel I spoke with people in the building and spoke with her she kept insisting I owe them money to the point I just hug up and stopped answering I still received two calls a day for the next two+ months. Anyway all in all it wasn’t that dirty if a place and for the most part staff was helpful/kind and the equipment was in decent shape pretty cool they have a pool. The movie room is always super warm and not an enjoyable experience. I truly miss the bike room as it made exercise so much fun. I had felt amazing before the only thing keeping me there was destroyed and I’m still not so sure why.

Fantastic experience: I only go there to work out not to make friends. stuff keep a good nice clean place their nice and trying to keep that energy I understand is hard to keep a gym open 24/7 and so try to deal with people all that long You guys do a very good job thank you for that

They will not do it unless I contact a third party that I do not have a contract with, and clearly told them I do not AND WILL NOT do buisness with. Company continues to try and bill me and spam me with texts to pay, after repeatedly being Informed to cancel and apparently being refused.

Fantastic experience: Amazing I been at this gym for less than a month already seeing results when I workout on my arms and my legs I went from 220 to 205 in a week with hard workouts the gym is exactly what it says serious results period shoutout powerhouse gym

I belive the owner does not like putting money into his gyms. Alot of people don't re rack there plates or dumbells. Nothing special.plenty of equipment and you will get a workout done comfortably . Positive experience: I love coming to Power House Gym. I like everything with the exception of the sauna in the men's locker room. The sauna could use a little work. The temperature button on the outside doesn't work, the smell will rake your breath, and the ceramic tiles needs to be removed. When the sauna is hot the ceramic tiles will burn you even if you have on a long sleeve shirt. Other than that everything is good. The staff is great and eager to assist anyway they can. The rest of the equipment is clean and in good working condition.

Fantastic experience: This gym is definitely a vibe. I highly recommend to anyone who is struggling to join a gym. The outside workout section is amazing. The staff are always so welcoming and friendly.

Positive experience: Not a bad gym. I do what I need to do, mind my business, and get my workout in. The only issue I have is the dirty pool. More than once I've swam in filth (bugs, tissue, unknown particles; and the water has a nasty taste to it. <- when swimming you're bound to get some water in your mouth). The pool floor also seems to have some form of mold or something. It needs to get redone and make sure your clients don't swim in bacteria. Be stricter on hygiene and remind some of your clients to swim in clean garments. There's been times some dudes swim in their underwear. That's disgusting. All in all, could be better. Fantastic experience: Great gym with great equipment. The staff is super friendly. You just have to figure out what time work best for you because it’s packed between 5-9.

Negative experience: I recently contacted Powerhouse Gym customer service by telephone. I had a simple request but I found that the automated system was very difficult. Once I got a chance to speak with a person, the rep immediately transferred me back to the automated system.

Fantastic experience: Love everything about this gym! The employees are always super friendly and helpful. Open 24 hours. Lots of equipment and class options, without the judgemental/stuck up vibes of some of the bigger gym chains. Been going for about 2 years and will continue to! Also love the tanning booth, massage beds, and saunas options. Great place overall!

Positive experience: The gym is nice and clean, they could turn the air up more in the back because it gets really stuffy. I only gave them 3 stars because a lot of the machines are broken and need repairs. So, hopefully they will fix them fast. Overall I like the atmosphere, and the staff is really nice.

Positive experience: Facility is great. Most of the staff are too. It’s hit or miss if any of the front desk acknowledges you when you walk in. The maintenance crew actually engages regularly and consistently. Kudos to them. Overall pretty legit gym.

Negative experience: Super overwhelming, equipment is crammed it. Has an odd smell in there . I also used a stair master and it was at full speed I almost ate it. I hurt my toe. And my last check in was so uncomfortable. The gentlemen checking me in asked me a bunch of questions assuming I’m not register as if my finger print didn’t work.it’s never happened before .I gave him my phone number and then said wait idk if my husband used mine or his and he was just annoyed. Unfortunately I will cancel my membership not a good experience for me

Fantastic experience: I've been a Member for over 20 years. This gym meets all my workout needs. I enjoy going in and doing a "tune up" workout with excellent machines or free weights. Plenty of machines for walking/jogging. Pool, sauna and other amenities available I haven't even tapped into yet! The staff is always Friendly and Available for any questions. This is My Gym.

Fantastic experience: I love going. My experience there has been good so far. No one bothers you and they will say excuse me or thank you or ask if you are using/done with a machine. Personal sauna is my fav part ☺️

Negative experience: Its been way to cold in the classroom area this past month. Wearing 3 layers is a bit crazy. They had the ac on Monday 1/08/ 24. Yoga is done in bare feet. If you wear socks and not the correct socks you risk chance of falling. Having the room to cold puts the gym at risk. IE The coffee is to hot I got burnt. Please can we just get it at least 68 degrees in there.

Fantastic experience: Excellent place to walk out. It’s highly recommended for San Jancinto and neighboring communities. My problem is that I am rarely there due to my tight schedule. I am working on making time out of my schedule to be there.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this gym for over 2 years and just love the community and staff. Huge place with a giant weight room, tons of machines, a cardio movie theater, pools, everything! Only thing is they keep the god damn AC blasting in the cardio room even if it’s below freezing outside - makes it super hard to warm up for your workouts in the winter, but nice in the summer

Positive experience: The sauna is always cold , sometimes warm but not hot to be considered a sauna. However, I do like the outdoor equipment!

Negative experience: This gym is a hit or miss.. consistently inconsistent. Confussion on booking saunas and message beds. Broken Equipment.. and customer service depends on who you get at the time you visit the gym. Check your credit card file for extraneous expenses, energy drinks, and water.. my third week here, I had to have the manager look into why I was charged for several drinks someone else received and consumed.

Positive experience: I go on a semi regular basis. I'd go more often if I weren't also working out with a few friends in a buddy's garage. I think Powerhouse gym does a good job with the up keep of their equipment and maintain a clean environment to exercise in.

Fantastic experience: My go to gym. I have been coming here for over 2 years now and I'm very happy with my membership. I go to the yoga classes twice a week. Barbara the instructor is amazing and I take advantage of the full amenities like the sauna, hydromassage and gym equipment. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: You need more machines, at least more of the popular ones. There's a lot of people who hog the equipment and are not working out. Just hanging out.

Positive experience: Everything is clean most of the times, but some of the machines are out of order, for been a busy gym they need to do the maintenance more frequently

Positive experience: The gym is 8/10. One treadmill I used was broke. I haven't used many machines yet. I told the staff about the broken treadmill and they didn't seem to do anything about it (i could be wrong). The staff always seems friendly but the 3 interactions I've had with the sales team I can say they intentionally put you in a pressure decision. I phoned in about adding my son to my account or just doing a 1 day test run. They insisted I come in because "we can get him started for $5"... I ended up wasting my time to find out in person their careful wording "$5 to start" really meant $5 to start, $30 a month and $50 annual fee ($415 a year). A bait and switch.. I only wanted to see if my son joining was an affordable option. I was clear. I asked multiple times what he meant. "If it's $5 to start, how much is it to finish?" He dodged my question. It could have been communicated on the phone before I showed up in person and had to walk away. Even when I first signed up, I was clear I wanted to pay the full year in advance (one lump payment) but he proceeded to show me more expensive monthly options. But hey, go ahead and pressure people to sign up because it's how you pay the bills, right? Seems bad to me. I just want honest clarity up front.

Fantastic experience: EVERY single time I come to this gym, I am treated with kindness, dignity, and respect my favorite thing. I only do the Zumba. With the awesome Miss ALMA! I have definitely seen how I have increased dramatically mentally spiritually, especially physically. My figure is looking gorgeous these days because of this awesome gym and the gym membership is very very reasonable because I am definitely a senior citizen on a budget. I would literally recommend this to anybody even Jesus ha ha. !! Im looking and feeling awesome because of Powerhouse Gym San Jacinto! The gym is always very very clean. All the employees are super efficient. Absolutely gorgeous and super friendly. Thank God I am a member of this gym!! Yippee!

Fantastic experience: Went in for just a day pass and although a bit pricier than I would have liked ($20), the gym and staff were amazing. Chris at the front helped me out & had great energy! I went to the yoga class on Saturday and Teressa did a great job and instructing a smooth flow. I was also offered a hydro massage & saunas which were both great amenities. If I lived near the area, this would be a great home gym.
