Fantastic experience: I had been looking for a gym that offered group training and was focused, fun and easy to access. This was it! Coach Hugh loves what he does and it shows. I got stronger and got back to enjoying my workouts.

Fantastic experience: I have been friends with Hugh for about 5 years. I knew he was good at what he does, but it wasn't until I signed up for this 12 week transformation that I learned first hand just how good and knowledgeable he really is. I have lost over 20lbs, my endurance and activity level is way up. I have dropped 4 holes in my belt. I actually had to buy a new belt. I fit in my old pants. I had a goal to play 2v2 volleyball successfully for more than a half of a game before getting tired. This last Friday, I just played 5 games in a row without a break and I know its because of this 12 week transformation. I have worked with 7 other nutrition coaches in my lifetime and Hugh was by far the most thorough coach I have ever had. You get what you pay for. Hugh is the best coach money can buy. All the coaches in my past focused on getting me results today which put me in a yoyo diet mentality. Even though Hugh wanted me to achieve my goals, he taught me it is more important to establish lifelong habits that will help me stick to them and not just go back to my old ways. Hugh does not only focus on nutrition and activity like all my other coaches did, but he also focuses on consistency, sleep, water, meal planning, and mindful eating. I tend to beat myself up every time I have a "bad" day, but Hugh taught me that I don't have to be guilty over a day of indulgences but that I can get back on track and work towards my goals today. He is always a text away for anything. He was awesome at helping me get back on track. He would kindly ask me "what 1 thing are you going to do today to help you reach your goals?" That helps me even today get back on track when I have a "bad" day. Thanks again Hugh for all your help!

Fantastic experience: I signed up for Capacity's transformation program because i was working out consistently, but not getting the results I wanted. At some point I just had to admit that I didn't know as much as I thought about health and fitness. As it turned out my diet was wonky, and many of the things I thought were helping were not. Coach Hugh helped me establish healthy diet, exercise, sleep, and mindfulness habits gradually over time, and kept me accountable weekly. By the end of the program, I lost 30+ lbs, and also dropped 12+ percentage points of body fat. On top of that, I left the program understanding how to build and maintain new habits, so I feel much more able to tackle all sorts of goals in both my personal and professional life. I cannot recommend this program highly enough. Thanks Capacity!

Fantastic experience: I came to Hugh and Capacity Fitness after hitting a one month plateau following my own independent weight loss journey where I’d lost 25 pounds in 6 months in a calorie deficit while exercising daily. I felt frustrated when it seemed that couldn’t lose any more weight this way, and like I was “just meant to be a bigger person.” I wanted to give up because it felt like despite trying very hard, nothing was working past that point. My goals at the beginning of working one-on-one with Hugh were to achieve a normal BMI, achieve a healthy weight, and feel confident in my own skin. I’ve learned so much about the importance of macros and how easy it can be to still enjoy the foods and drinks I enjoyed if I balanced them with the other things I would eat and drink. I lost 13 pounds of body fat and even gained a few pounds of muscle while cutting. I’ve already started to see changes in my confidence where I wear clothes that actually fit me, rather than only stretch or oversized fitting clothes. I’ve began to receive complements on looking healthier and my appearance. I feel stronger and am lifting more than I’ve been able to in years. I feel much less stressed planning for my meals at the beginning of the week to fit into my macro requirements, and am able to treat myself to my favorite foods daily while still working towards my goals and achieving a healthy lifestyle. I have learned so much, and I am confident that I will be able to take everything that I’ve learned from working with Capacity Fitness, and will be able to maintain a healthy lifestyle while successfully pursuing my fitness goals. Fantastic experience: First of all, I love this place. And that is a miracle. I’m someone who dealt with low energy and frustration behind the fits and starts of “going back to the gym.” My diet, routine, and schedule were all superseded by work and frankly, low motivation. Eventually I realized that the only person capable of getting me to do anything was ME, and luckily, I found Capacity Fitness and Nutrition. I had NO desire to do what looked like CrossFit, calisthenics, or anything new, so I waited to see if the feeling to get myself together was fleeting. I saw Hugh Green in my Instagram feed with a challenge for busy professionals, and as a dare to myself, I contacted him, and he immediately reached out to set up an in person interview. I’m so glad he reached out to help me. I was so impressed with his rapid response and easy going, professional approach to my very own fitness plan. He spells it out, works one on one with me, doesn’t let me get down on myself, and challenges me every single work out. Hugh pushes you by showing you that you should believe in YOU, because he does. His support and encouragement make the challenge of the WODs attainable, even if difficult. I honestly look forward to my early morning WODs with him because he makes the most of the time we have while keeping things upbeat and fun (however challenging lol). I had to make a decision to keep a commitment to myself and stick with this program, and the changes I’ve seen physically and mentally are amazing. In the past I have bailed on myself before I saw results, but this time, I’ve stuck with him and lost 13lbs of body fat and put on lean muscle. My habits (diet, meal planning, day planning, gym commitment) have improved immensely thanks to Hugh and Capacity Fitness. The plan he created for me details the importance of rest, diet, water intake, and movement apart from just gym work. It’s a wholistic approach to helping me build and maintain a lifestyle plan that truly works, and the impact of that plan and the commitment I made to it has been a game changer. Fantastic experience: Working with Hugh was the best experience I had with a personal trainer and I highly recommend Capacity's personal training. The classes are also very good and better run than other classes I have taken in the Baltimore area.

Fantastic experience: I was struggling with sticking with a routine post pandemic , I was switching between using the pelaton and class pass. But neither of those seemed to be helping with accomplishing my goals. For the last 7 months Capacity Fitness has been able to not only aid in allowing me to stick with a routine but I have learned so much, and have felt myself getting stronger ! Everyone at the gym is so inviting no matter what level you are fitness wise, there is room for all . Consistency is key to any journey and Capacity has been a key element in that process for me. Fantastic experience: I used to think of myself as a fairly fit person, but despite my efforts, I struggled to gain more muscle. That's when I decided to seek advice from Hugh. With his help in adjusting my diet and providing workout suggestions, it's been a few months now, and I am finally starting to see results. Fantastic experience: Ive been working out with Hugh (The owner and coach) now for three months and I absolutely love it. Had to start my fitness journey anew again after some rough personal years and Hugh and his team were and are the best choice for the job. They really make you feel like family. I can not recommend them enough. If you are afraid to get back into fitness go to this team!

Fantastic experience: Capacity Fitness hands down has become the best part of my daily routine. I would recommend the gym to anyone, regardless of where you’re currently at in your fitness journey. Coach Hugh and Coach Gabi are some of the best coaches I’ve had. They are motivating, extremely knowledgeable, supportive of your goals and caring. I joined not knowing what to expect because I have never focused on strength training. I’ve played soccer my whole life but always felt lost in the gym picking up weights, so I wouldn’t do it, I’d go right for the treadmills. Coming off an injury I wanted to get back in shape and learn what to do in the gym. After just one month, Coach Hugh and Coach Gabi have already helped me tremendously. Class sizes are small and they do an awesome job demonstrating what to do, always paying attention to ensure correct form. I love the intensity of the workouts. The community aspect wasn’t something I thought about when joining but has been icing on the cake! Everyone that I have met during classes has been so encouraging and wants to see each other succeed.

Fantastic experience: Love this facility. I was in town for a short time, this gym was right round the corner from the hotel I was staying at. Such a cool location. Who doesn’t want to workout by the water? This gym has everything you need to get a good workout. I needed a gym that had a good barbell and weights set up. Hugh and Gabi were super welcoming and accommodating. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Bmore.

Fantastic experience: Capacity Fitness & Nutrition is the best in Federal Hill, Baltimore, MD. After years of struggling to get my nutrition under control, these guys helped me lose weight from day 1. After my initial meeting with them, I could tell the trainers here are very educated and experienced and that’s exactly what you want to look for when hiring a trainer or nutritionist. 10/10 would definitely recommend. If you want to get your body in shape for summer, don’t wait another day!

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Capacity Fitness enough! I started going to Capacity six months ago on a recommendation from a friend who attends the gym. I had just finished up a year of physical therapy for some long-term back/neck/shoulder issues and was cleared to start more intensive exercise. This was my first time in a high-intensity program and didn't know what to expect. I was anxious about re-injury but wanted to give it a shot and I'm so thankful I did. Since joining I've been attending the group strength & conditioning classes several times a week. The location, small class size, and multiple daily class times are a plus, but the community is what brings me back. It's been great to roll in, see familiar faces, and encourage each other every week. Coaches Hugh, Gabi, Kelsey, Layla, and Neal…they've all been incredibly welcoming, encouraging, and always provide useful feedback during the workouts. They've curated an awesome program that meets you wherever you're at and scales to meet your goals. The classes keep you challenged and change up frequently so it's always fresh. Big thanks to Capacity and the staff. I'm feeling so much healthier and stronger than when I started. Don't hesitate to check them out!

Fantastic experience: I came to Capacity after hip surgery and a back injury, fearful about being back in a gym. I had nothing to be afraid of- the staff and other members have been extremely welcoming! The coaches have helped me scale workouts as needed but also encouraged me to push past my fears.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a great experience with Capacity fitness. I love the small group classes which allows for greater attention from the instructors in comparison to some other types of gym classes I’ve attended. The classes are always different so I am never bored. The members are welcoming and everyone goes at their own pace. Plus there’s free and easy parking. Definitely worth checking out!

Fantastic experience: I pop into Capacity for a class every few weekends and from the very first time I did so, I've felt so welcomed. It doesn't matter if you're a regular or just jump into a class every now and then, the coaches and members are some of the nicest, most encouraging people I've ever worked out with. The programming is awesome and guaranteed to give you an incredible workout every time. The small class size means you don't get lost in the crowd, you will have someone correct your form if needed and I've always felt Covid-safe. Great location, great coaches, great workout. What more could you ask for?

Fantastic experience: What can I say that hasn't been said already? Quite a bit actually. I came to capacity fitness with wellness needs requiring more than just a "pick it up and put it down" mentality. Struggling with addiction and the suboptimal health outcomes that go along with it, I found more than just a place to sweat at Capacity. Hugh, Gabby, and the rest of the Capacity Fitness community helped me dig deeper to find the intersection of goal-crushing fitness and right-sized mindfulness. I'm now well on my way to many firsts, and the journey began at Capacity. No matter what your background or needs may be, as Coach Hugh likes to say, "We got something for that!"

Fantastic experience: Perfect COVID-safe/ COVID-friendly gym for someone who is interested in aerobic exercise/HIIT workouts in a small class setting. Coach Hugh and Coach Gabby are incredibly detail oriented and offer the perfect combination of patience, direction, and motivation. As a member of this gym, you will learn (a lot!) about different movements, why you do them, and how to do them safely. The gym itself is in impeccable condition and the sense of community its members bring is a huge added benefit.

Fantastic experience: I first came to Capacity Fitness & Nutrition in April 2020. It was the beginning of COVID-19 Quarantine and my current CrossFit gym had temporarily closed. I sank into a deep depression... I was 15 lbs. heavier than I am now, drinking almost every day and recklessly binging on food in the middle of the night. I felt completely helpless. When I reached out to Hugh, I was at my most vulnerable and looking for some sort of help. The solution that was given to me was not what I expected. I was not given a fancy and restrictive crash diet... I was not given a rigorous workout routine... -- Instead, Hugh collaborated with me to develop simple, attainable goals that would in turn yield long-term sustainable results. Our weekly check-ins provided routine motivation and planning that set me up for success each week. One of my biggest fears at the beginning of this whole process was disappointing Hugh and Gabby... I was scared to death of failure -- in the gym and in the kitchen. But one thing they worked with me on was really living life on life's terms. I was never vilified if I ate something I shouldn't have, if I missed a meal prep, if I ate out, etc... They both remained solution-oriented and helped me navigate through the week. They reminded me that in order for this to work, I needed to approach life on life's terms (something I have taken with me as an overall life lesson outside of the gym)... to accept that mistakes, slip-ups, failures --whatever you want to call them -- are all inevitable parts of life. Moreover, at the gym there are no pressures to PR a specific weight... there is no judgement in scaling a workout or amending it to fix your specific body type or abilities (there are some days I use 20 lb dumbbells and there are some days I use 45s... some days I do box jumps, other days I do step-ups). This was also a huge relief... each day I come into the gym I listen to my body and go with the flow... there are no pressures to compete with other folks or even to push myself in unnecessary ways. Looking back a year later, I can say that I have lost 4% body fat and 15 lbs of fat, my habits and coping mechanisms are healthier, and I have a solid positive support system around me to see me through this journey. I am forever grateful for everything Hugh and Gabby have given me -- these are things that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. If you are looking for a small, warm, respectful, carefree and hardworking environment, Capacity Fitness & Nutrition is the place for you.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Capacity Fitness for about 6 months now and love it! Hugh and Gabby are great coaches and will push you but also understand everyone is on a different fitness level. I love the community feel of Capacity and just extended my membership. This is exactly what I was looking for since moving to Baltimore. The gym feels like a home away from home and every workout is unique as it is challenging. I definitely recommend Capacity Fitness!

Fantastic experience: This gym is amazing! Not only are the trainers amazing but so is the view! Coach Hugh and Coach Gabby have really helped me to change not just my fitness routine, but my eating habits as well. Both nutrition and fitness guidance in one spot. While I am using the equipment it is nice to gaze out to the water which helps to get in a perfect mindset! I would highly reccommend to anyone who is new to fitness or would like a challenge!

Fantastic experience: I started going to Capacity last fall and was initially drawn to it for the types of workouts, small class sizes and the outdoor space that it offered. After going four to five times a week for all of these months, I can confirm that Capacity is a fantastic gym for so many reasons. The workouts are great – very challenging yet scalable for those with limitations (without feeling like you’ve compromised any of the intensity of the workout). I really like the variety of the workouts – the mix of cardio and strength. They are always well-thought out and, most importantly, well-coached with no lack of individualized attention. Aside from the workouts, I have really enjoyed getting to know and working with the other members of the gym and with Coaches Hugh and Gabby. There is a real sense of camaraderie and Coaches Hugh and Gabby are two of the best coaches (and humans) that you can meet. They are always encouraging, there to give you a push when you need it, and are truly invested in making sure everyone attains their goals. They have built a fantastic community at Capacity and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.

Fantastic experience: Capacity has become a second home with the pandemic. Being able to get out of the house for even an hour for a nice workout is always worth it with Huge and Gabby. They are amazing trainers and put their clients needs first!

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms in the area: - The most courteous/fun owners/coaches - Everyone is treated like family - Small group classes that make it a more personalized experience - Great functional fitness programming that won’t cause some of injuries that CrossFit is known for. Alternatives/scaled versions are always provide as well! You never have to do more than your body can handle Love you guys!
