Fantastic experience: As a family we adore Auburn MMA, but our son especially loves it! He’s a part of the Tiny Dragons class and is a huge fan of Coach Taylor! The staff is amazing and very welcoming, they helped us get familiar with the gym, the programs, and the disciplines themselves. In a short two weeks we have seen changes in our son and can’t wait to see all the positive changes he makes in the future. The gym in clean and well equipped. Every staff member has been welcoming and kind. The amount of classes they offer, as well as extra seminars, programs, classes, and events, is plentiful! Auburn MMA is the place to go!

Fantastic experience: We’ve been part of the AMMA family for several years & I can’t recommend them highly enough. In addition to being a great place to learn martial arts skills, Randy and the coaches focus on building the students’ character. The word of the month is woven into every lesson and they encourage respect and discipline inside/outside of class with a home chore chart that the kids can bring back and be rewarded for. If you’re looking for an activity for your child, look no more. This is the place!

Fantastic experience: I visited for the Genesis 32 Tournament, the facilities are top notch, the tournament was run very well. I liked that the other mat with heavy bags was open and was able to get a good warm up. Will do my best to be there for the next one!

Fantastic experience: Decided to give them a visit as an out of towner while here for an Auburn game at their Glenn-Dean location, and was welcomed and went right along with the others there during an open mat on Saturday. One of the upper belts there then invited me to come out the next day for Sunday open mats at their further east location, where I met the professor/owner and was easily welcomed there as well. I totally recommend a visit, as it was competitive yet within the same spirit of my home facility where learning was going on during the rolls/spars. Thanks professor Randall!

Fantastic experience: Auburn MMA is excellent! The staff is amazing and so friendly! They truly love and care for the kids. We haven’t had a bad class. Everyone is extremely down to earth, they show the kids compassion, and they encourage them to try new things when they feel that the kids are up to the challenge. My daughter loves going to her classes, she absolutely loves all the teachers and so do I!

Fantastic experience: One of the best decisions I’ve made in my life has been to be a member of this gym. Professor Randall is a seasoned coach, leader and mentor. My training partners were also just fantastic humans who I will miss very much. The lessons that one learns from BJJ are directly transferable to many of the ingredients needed to living a great life — recognizing and controlling one’s ego, supporting and serving others, remembering to breathe and be calm when overwhelmed, etc. Such a great way to build character. Every roll is a gift.

Negative experience: Do NOT send your kids to Auburn Mixed Martial Arts for after school programs or daycare. Not only do they teach the kids mixed martial arts, they also hand them razor blades to play with!

Fantastic experience: Auburn MMA has been one of the best experiences for my youngest son. Conner, Ellie, and Summer have done the best job at teaching skill and patience. We thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Auburn MMA has my children excited to come each time even after 6-months! Auburn MMA fosters a positive and empowering learning environment for my 3-children. They not only teach physical skills of MMA, they also stress the critical skills of discipline, respect and responsibility necessary and applicable to all other aspects of a successful life. Mr. Randal (owner) and his wife run an excellent, clean and well-organized place. The staff ae amazing! Everyone is welcoming and supportive. Fantastic experience: I could not speak more highly of Auburn MMA and its other location, Auburn Jiu Jitsu. The instructors are kind, passionate, helpful, and highly skilled. I'm constantly amazed at the high level of dedication, respect, and humility the other students display. As a complete beginner, I often find myself in bad positions where I'm nearly completely lost. The other students are incredibly helpful and don't hesitate to offer any guidance they can. As a result, I feel that I'm constantly learning and slowly improving. Simply put, Auburn MMA has an amazingly supportive learning environment. Nobody comes in with an ego to feed and everyone treats each other like family. Fantastic experience: I signed my twin 12yo boys up with AMMA after talking with some friends about Jiu Jitsu and the positive changes it made with their children. One friend’s boys were previous students here and she could not say enough about it. My boys are shy... they are coming out of their shells because of the confidence they are building. It’s definitely made a difference in just a few classes. I am excited to see them both excel.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been enrolled for about a month now and couldn’t be happier. Love the family environment. I know my two boys are in good hands. The classes are very thorough and intense, while still keeping it extremely fun. My kids want to go everyday!

Fantastic experience: Our son just started and is the youngest of the 7-12 year olds. He was intimidated knowing he’d be training with 12 year olds but the staff has been excellent in assigning him with others close to his stature and has made him feel very confident. He actually wants to do chores at home and is excited about going to training as much as he can during the week. The instructors do not coddle these kids while still making it fun and the physical fitness is very intense. This experience has had an incredibly positive effect on our son’s health, grappling skills, and confidence.

Fantastic experience: Great Academy to learn jiu-jitsu as well as karate/kickboxing for younger kids. Both Mr. Randall & Ms. Taylor are patient and promote a friendly environment to train. I have no problem asking questions and getting the answers I need. Mr. Randall explains techniques until the kids have a full understanding of how to perform the technique. My son can be all over the place at times but they know how to dial him in....as someone said previously, tough but fair which I like. Holds them accountable and has no problem making them do push ups to learn from their mistakes. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Auburn MMA is a great place to learn martial arts. Mr. Rendall is a very competent instructor and helps his students give their best in the class. The environment is very welcoming and open to all people. You end up making new friends and growing as a person in different areas.

Fantastic experience: Auburn Mixed Martial Arts has finally given me an outlet and goals that I haven’t had in a very long time. It isn’t easy, and is a commitment, but it’s 100% worth it. Randall is the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor and his experience and professionalism are on full display in every class. He takes time to get to know every one of his students, their goals, and their “why”. Not a gym for casuals, but has helped me in more ways than I could ever explain.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking jiu jitsu classes for nearly a month and my experience has been great! Randall creates an atmosphere that promotes learning and hard work. Everyone including the other students are kind and respectful. It’s a phenomenal place in Auburn to learn martial arts.

Fantastic experience: My 15 year old daughter has been taking Jui Jitsu lesson with Randall and Raven for almost 2 months. She has had a great time in both the Teens (boys & girls) and Teen Girls classes. The instructors work with the kids where they are physically and mentally while gently pushing them to learn and improve. This approach has made my timid daughter more confident in herself and her abilities. She is always smiles when she leaves training because she knows she has learned something new or improved on previously learned skills. I can not say enough about how well the instructors work with the kids and praise them for doing well while helping them learn that they are capable of more than the kids think they are.

We honestly feel like we’re a part of the family when we walk in the door! They care about my WHOLE child...his abilities, his spirit, and his character! Fantastic experience: I attend jiu jitsu classes around 5 times a week and also take a judo class once a week. This is an amazing place to really learn martial arts and meet some wonderful people along the way. I have trianed for around a month now and have noticed significant improvement on my mood, health, and martial Arts skills. Everyday I am so anxious to get to class because it is the highlight of my day to walk on that mat and begin to learn and improve. The prices are very reasonable and there are a variety of payment options to choose from and believe me it is worth every penny. Jiu jitsu is a life changing experience and the best part is that it requires nothjng more than one's dedication from ages 3 to 93. With each class my confidence grows and I begin to find my own personal style of jiu jitsu. There isnt anyone like Randal, Miss Emily, and their staff at aurburn jiu jitsu and if you are considering taking a class, dont hesitate! Schedule a first free class and come see for yourself!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to the MMA gym for 1.5 years now and I have enjoyed every single training session. The competition, camaraderie, and instruction have been superb. I do the Jiu-jitsu aspect of MMA and it has changed my life and will continue to come here for years. The instructors are great with kids, teens, and all ages. I have no reservations in recommending Mr. Randall Phillips to be your or your child's next Jiu-jitsu instructor.

Fantastic experience: Stephen is a great motivator and instructor in the Kick boxing and Muay Thai classes. He's very knowledgeable and gives practical advice during class. I've been involved for the past 4 months and can tell a huge difference in how I feel and in my coordination.

I've been impressed with all of the instructors I've met all the way from the owner to the older kids that help with the younger classes.

Fantastic experience: This is a great place for both kids and adults to learn a variety of martial arts (particularly Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and kickboxing) and to get a great workout without even realizing it -- because it's actually fun! The atmosphere is welcoming and family friendly. But make no mistake, this place isn't a McDojo, and the instructors are all accomplished athletes, fighters, and competitors. Two years ago, I started off watching my kid in kickboxing classes, and found it hard not to try out a class myself. I ended up taking up BJJ and have been hooked since (it's great for stress relief!) I even convinced the hubby to try out kickboxing, and he's now hooked too. The instructors are very patient and encouraging, and they're terrific with the kids. They also host birthday parties. My kid has had three birthdays there already, and Mr. Andy never fails to entertain the kids with fun action-filled games. Auburn MMA is a special place for our entire family.

Fantastic experience: Son's 4th birthday! Both my boys (age 6 and 4) go to Auburn MMA for a kick boxing. I'm very much familiar with the environment and I've always liked the staff and my boy's master, Mr. Andy. So I couldn't think of a better place to host my son's 4th birthday party. That was the best decision I made especially given the fact that I decided to do the party 2 weeks prior to the birthday date. This birthday was the most stress free planning I've ever dealt with. Emily (I think she is the director of MMA) communicated with me at least once a day to update me where she is with the planning prior to the party. She arranged everything from the decoration, cake, pizza and sodas. In addition to what MMA provided, the only items I brought with me were Caprisun and goodie bags for the kids and fruit/veggie trays and chips/dips for the adults. When I walked in on the day of the party, I was very pleased with the decoration and setup Emily did. During the party, she made sure everyone was well taken care of and I didn't have to do anything. I felt like a guest at my own party. I'd invited 14 kids including the b'day boy so I was a little worried how they will be able to keep all the kids engaged. Mr. Andy and his assistant had all the kids entertained and even spent one on one with every kid. For the kids, they had a board breaking session as well as an obstacle course. My son's little friends had so much fun at the party that some of the kids' parents are even talking about signing up their little ones to MMA. Mr. Andy also made sure the birthday boy felt extra special by letting him be the first on all the activities and also he had my son wear a black belt. The other big thing, my son got to do was cut the b'day cake with a real Samurai sword which he was given to keep. Thank you Emily, Mr. Andy and all the MMA staff for making my son's 4th birthday extra special. -A happy mom!

Fantastic experience: auburn mma is a great place for your child or a grownup to learn mixed martical arts the instructors are great and they teach students the way to become better at mma they are great highly recommend them to anyone who wants to learn mma. my child has learned so much from randall and his staff.

Fantastic experience: I started my 4-yr old daughter in the Little Champions class to help her focus energy and gain self-confidence after my divorce. She began to really come out of her shell after a few classes and now CANNOT WAIT to get to class three times a week. In fact, she enjoyed it so much that I signed up for the ladies jiu-jitsu class and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! It has done the same for me as it did for my daughter- I am more confident, it's an excellent way to relieve symptoms of stress, and most importantly, it's just a good time. There is really a sense of family at Auburn MMA that is infectious. Everybody knows each other and genuinely care if you are having a good experience in classes. Mr. Randall is AWESOME and so is his sweet wife and family, who are there most days and nights to greet us with a smile and hand out popsicles at the end of class (one of my daughter's favorite parts). I've also participated in the ladies kickboxing classes with Andy, and somehow, he makes it fun to work so hard that it hurts to move. All in all, I highly recommend this gym....amazing staff, amazing teachers, amazing atmosphere!!!! And no, I have not been paid to say all of these great things :)

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Auburn MMA for all age groups and skill levels. I wanted to find a place to help my 4 year old daughter develop confidence, discipline and self-defense skills. I didn't know where to send her until I realized Randall was the instructor at Auburn MMA. I used to train martial arts and always heard about Randall being the best. He was sort of a legend so I was excited to learn about Auburn MMA. Needless to say my daughter is quickly acheiving all of the aforementioned skills plus cultivating a love for martial arts thanks to Randall and all of the instructors at Auburn MMA. They truly care about their students!!! and their families!!!!
