We offer unique personal training and rehabilitation services for those with spinal cord injuries, neuromuscular disabilities, amputations, and other disabilities. Our goal is to help our clients regain as much independence and mobility as possible.

The Samaritans Walk opened in 2010 inside the Ashland Athletic Club. It was started in order to help a client who had suffered a spinal cord injury. Since then, we have expanded our business in order to help others who are trying to improve their lives. We are a family-run business that is dedicated to helping others. Sessions are by appointment only.

David Brown founded Samaritans Walk in 2010. He graduated from Old Dominion University with a bachelor’s degree in Physics. He has been an Olympic style weightlifter for 40 years and has held state and national titles. He is also a certified para powerlifting coach and has been personal training for 10 years. Currently, he is a coach in training for Team USA Para Powerlifting.

Caitlin Brown, Dave's daughter, graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management with a concentration in Exercise Science. She is a certified personal trainer, certified para powerlifting coach, and a certified sports nutrition consultant. Caitlin is the Secretary for the United Spinal Association of Virginia and is a coach in training for Team USA Para Powerlifting.

At Samaritans Walk, we provide specialized personal training for those with spinal cord injuries, neuromuscular disabilities, and amputees. We have experience with a variety of disorders and disabilities and are always willing to take on something new. Contact us to schedule an appointment.
