Bayfield Rec Center: Opinions
Fantastic experience: What a great blessing to be able to enjoy the workout rooms and especially the pool! The staff is so friendly...
Fantastic experience: Sauna and salt water swimming pool. Clean locker rooms and the most friendly staff highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Water Polo night is absolutely awesome! Hot tub, sauna, swimming and super fun water polo games. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
Positive experience: I’ve been coming here since i was like 2 and it’s really fun . But the only thing I don’t like is how rude the workers are. It honestly makes me not wanna come.
Positive experience: I only used the gym, but they also have a pool and a sauna; there may be other amenities as well. The gym itself is odd but not bad. It's spread across two rooms, each of which is separated from the hall by a closed door, which makes it kind of awkward to shuffle between exercises that are in each room. One room includes: - 1 decline bench - An adjustable incline bench - Hip extension setup - Old iron dumbbells in pairs from 5 pounds up to 75 pounds - Some cardio equipment (1 rowing machine, 2 seated bike machines, and a few other things) The other room includes the majority of the weightlifting equipment, specifically: - 1 squat rack with an extra 45lbs barbell - Preacher curl setup - Lat pulldown / seated row machine - Chest press machine - Pec deck / reverse fly machine - An adjustable dual cable setup - Leg extension machine - Leg press machine - 2 exercise bikes - 3 treadmil1s - 1 elliptical - 1 stairmaster - 1 incline bench press A day pass costs $10. Outside shoes are ok (despite the signs inside) as long as you wipe your feet and make sure your shoes aren't covered in dirt / mud.
Fantastic experience: Many options for getting your cardio, weights and stretching done. Super nice people.
Fantastic experience: A great community asset and salubrious response to 4Season life in Bayfield. Knowing this exists within a walkable city is 90% of a decision to move here.
Positive experience: The skatepark outside was okay the ramps were to steep so it was hard to ride I ride scooters so that might have been a factor in it to
Fantastic experience: Like location have nice pool area can have birthday party's
Fantastic experience: Vital heartbeat of community. Visitors should come here on a rainy day for sure.
Thank you so much for leaving us a review. We appreciate you!
Negative experience: It was fine until the second lifeguard named Issac came out and started hollering at the kids. Then he started throwing things around after something broke. Very unprofessional. Will never go back. And definitely don’t recommend because they have a swim class take up half of the pool during open swim. False advertising!!!! Very disappointed in this place.
Fantastic experience: Clean , Courteous and Welcoming
Thank you for your review! We appreciate your patronage.
Fantastic experience: Very clean and well-kept environment and super friendly staff. Great spot to go workout or swim
Thanks for the great review! We appreciate you using our facility.
Fantastic experience: Saline pool
Thanks for your review, Kevin!
Fantastic experience: The hot tub is salt water, too, I believe and is right next to the pool, so it is easy to alternate it with lap swimming. Fridays are free for seniors, so no excuse not to try a Silver Sneakers class or the aqua fit class. I wish there were a few more “zumba dance” moves in the latter class and a variety of music to dance or move a bit more energetically to as well. I loved that the instructor ended with the resistance bands in the water in 2 groups. It’s an easy class to drop in and try.
Thanks for your review! I'll pass your feedback along to our instructors.

Positive experience: It's affordable and convenient but fitness room is cramped and easily feels crowded once more than 3 people are present. Also, equipment could use updating.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place! I take the youth here all the time, what a great resource for this community. Very friendly staff, very clean and well managed.
Fantastic experience: The only public pool in NW Wi. Many community and civic programs. Work outs, personal trainers, and race events. Including bike swim and run events.
Fantastic experience: Great rate for a family day pass. Love the sauna while kids swim.
Fantastic experience: Clean. Affordable. Proper sauna. Salt water pool. Friendly staff
Positive experience: Nice atmosphere for swimming.
