Fantastic experience: I'm really impressed with village fitness! The staff is warm and always ready to help. The gym is always spotless which is a huge plus. Everyone can work out at their own pace in a relaxed drama free atmosphere. At 66 I find it to be great for both my mental and physical health. Come check it out you'll enjoy it.
Positive experience: Update: A lot has changed and there's no pool. I think it's a better atmosphere but I had to quit.

Fantastic experience: Best gym I’ve ever been a member of. There is an abundance of cardio machines, plenty of weights, room for cross fit, and polymetric training, boxing, etc…most everything piece of equipment is new and I have never seen a piece of equipment out of order or broken. Staff is amazing, friendly, gives free advice and training tips. Very reasonable priced, open most of the day. Seldom packed.

Fantastic experience: Good sized gym, great staff, lots of weight and cardio machines, lots of free weights, a large room for classes and heavy bags, a speed bag and more weights, has a sauna and steam room.
Fantastic experience: I am 65 years young and joined Village Fitness the middle of February 2024 because I am a diabetic and wanted to address my health issue. i go to their classes and workout on their gym equipment 5 days a week and sometimes twice a day when I'm in town. It is truly a family atmosphere. I have lost 20 lbs in 4 months, my pains in my body are gone, I have so much more energy, and I sleep great at night. I have gotten tips of what to eat for nutrition and drinking a lot of water. Protein and Fiber is a lot of foods I have been consuming and never get hungry. My husband saw my changes to my body starting and he joined Village Fitness a month after I joined. I have never done weight lifting but the classes stress that and it works. My body is getting more firm by adding weights to my dance classes. The instructors are awesome. Zeke, Michael, and Joan have been great to the members and always accessible. My husband and I highly recommend joining Village Fitness in Medford Oregon. If you do the work, you will see positive results with your body to become healthier.
Positive experience: The layout of the gym is really nice, its easy to find the equipment you want. The machines are also high quality. The staff is very nice and supportive!
Negative experience: They keep the sauna wayy too hot, so it breaks down a lot. I’ve seen it as hot as 210. Would be cool if they could keep it closer to 160-170. Free membership with Allcare tho and it’s clean and has a good variety of equipment and spaces. Some of the shower heads are busted in the women’s shower area, but in general it’s a good experience when it’s not super busy. Won’t have OHP for much longer so I’ll be switching when it runs out.

Fantastic experience: I was pleasantly surprised when I went to use the Hoist machines today and noticed that they had replaced the cracked and fraying seats and seat backs. I feel appreciated when a gym takes care of the equipment. Also, this gym is always very clean. Thank you VF.
Positive experience: I love coming here, nice and clean. Everyone is super nice and helpful BUT the reason I joined was for the steam room and sauna. Been going there almost 6 months and steam room has never worked and sauna is not working alot. Always says under repair. If it wasn't for this, I would have given a 5 star

Fantastic experience: I gave this gym 5 stars because Joan from Hawaii has made this gym feel like a community! She brought the aloha with her. Honestly, I have never felt that before at any gym. Love the community vibes. We are so desperately needing to get back to that! And the rest of the team are very friendly and professional. :)

I recommend my gym to people all the time, not only for the great variety of equipment and convenient location of the gym but all of the members I’ve met have been super kind & respectful, there’s definitely a really sweet sense of community here <3 Everyone is friendly & you get to know people :) The staff here is incredibly kind and knowledgeable!! Always a kind greet at the door, always there to help & always working hard ❤️ I’m currently taking Training sessions with Joan & Carlee, they’re both SUPER wonderful I can see that they’re truly invested in the health and wellbeing of myself and all Village fitness goers!! Fantastic experience: Overall, this has been my home gym for the last 10 years. Over the last year i have switched to a few different gyms to check them out. Village is by far the best value for a gym you will find in the Valley. It's not over crowded at any time of the day, mostly updated equipment, upholstery is constantly replaced as it cracks. Polite and knowledgeable staff, and the personal trainers are some of the best if not the best in the valley! The GM is working hard to keep this place afloat for the owners. It went through a dark period in the last few years, but the new management is fixing what they can as fast as they can. If you went here previously and had a bad experience give it a try again! I guarantee it's 1000x better!
Negative experience: Cancelled my membership back in June. They kept charging membership fees to my bank and have thus far racked up almost $250 dollars. I've complained and requested my money back multiple times. I was told 5-10 business days to get my money back. It's now been upwards of 18 days. The owner can't be bothered to check his messages or return my calls. Lets see if he gives a damn about reviews. My money - which is again $250 - says probably not.
Fantastic experience: When you walk into village fitness you are always greeted with a smile, equipment is top of the line and more abundant then other gyms in the valley with equipment and almost always available. The friendly staff goes above and beyond to assist you in anyway possible. I have belonged to 3 other gyms and visted 6 total and this is by far the best for the pricing.. The personal trainers at the Village are top notch and extremely knowledgeable. I am so glad my husband and I came back to village it definitely feels like home gym to us!
Fantastic experience: I was in the neighborhood and stopped by Village Fitness to check out the facility. I was welcomed by Nick who proceeded to present me with a very thorough run down on the array of workout gear, with special attention to the gear that I have used in the past in other gyms. The array of equipment was certainly better than I've seen in past gyms I've experienced. Also he showed me all other major areas of the facility. We then discussed cost of membership and basic rules/procedures, etc. and I walked out the door as a newly enrolled gym member.

We understand your frustrations for the pool and sauna. Unfortunately the pool is gone forever, this was a business decision that had to be made for the well being of the gym. Our steam room and suana are VERY close to completion, we are just putting some finishing touches to the area and will be making an announcement in the VERY near future. If you want to come back to Village Fitness we would be happy to sit down and talk with you about our policies set in place for a better understanding of the direction the gym is moving and our requirements for respecting our staff who are working hard to improve each members experience every time they come to the facility . Incase you were unaware the pool is no longer here and the area is being converted into a new and functional fitness space that our members will be able to enjoy in the near future. Our cleaning staff has doubled and improved since January of 2023, and is working 7 days a week to ensure that our gym cleanliness is top notch. Our management is and will remain open to speak to any member about any concerns they may have. We have a 0 tolerance policy for mistreatment and disrespect towards our staff who work hard 7 days a way to serve our members.

Fantastic experience: This my favorite gym! I've been coming here for years and endured many changes along the way. They've really stepped it up with the cleanliness. Negative experience: Been at this gym for a long time. It has had many owners over the past. Was a 24 hour, International Fitness, OZ fitness and now Village Fitness. They use to be bigger and kept the place up but kept making the place smaller and smaller. Things are falling apart and no cleaning of anything. Lockers falling apart and off the walls. They just closed their pool. Covered it with concrete. I did like the gym and put up with a lot but management was super rude to Super Trainer and right in front of me to let him go. So time to look for a new gym. This place needs reset. I would look for a different place if you are researching gyms

Covid really hurt everyone nationwide, and gyms were one of those types of businesses that had to follow STRICT guidelines to even keep our doors open. During that time we did experience a high turnover of staff and management.In the last 3 months we have gained a WHOLE NEW management team who is working diligently to make sure we are the cleanest gym around as well as making all of the appropriate fixes to equipment and locker rooms. As well as a whole new management team we have 90% new staff who we have working 7 days a week to make sure that the standers of our valued members are upkept.We encourage you to drop by and see the fantastic changes we have been making at the Village. We are taking this company to new heights and would love you to be apart of it. If you do happen to stop by and check it out, ask for Joe or Zeke. We would be happy to give you a tour, talk about all the great things we have planned and would be happy to give you a special managers discount.
Fantastic experience: My favorite club in Medford. Nice new equipment and people who care to make sure your workouts matter. It's more than a place to do cardio and weights. It's a place to learn how to make the most of those precious few moments we have. Joan and Zeke have really made a difference and turned the club around in the past 6 months. The club is definitely evolving but in the right direction.

Negative experience: Dirty gym, mold around the drinking fountain, told the front desk about changing out the filter because it’s been red for weeks now . Mud around the stair stepper and treadmills and tears in majority of the equipment. Been a member for years and I never seen it this bad . Will be checking out other gyms .
Lisa,We are very sorry that our gym cleanliness is not up to your standards. I can assure you since new management has come into the building in the last 3 months that cleanliness has been our top priority, which has been reflected by numerous other members reviews. The tears in the equipment you speak of are being dealt with in small batches by a local upholstery store. We could take out all the pieces at once, but unfortunately it would leave too many pieces of equipment out of order. But again, I can assure you these problems are already being worked on. As far as the water filter in our water station, we have filters on order, but as you can imagine just like any other supplier since covid, lead times for almost anything are 2-4 weeks out on backorder. We are continuing to improve the gym in many different ways since the new management has started. We sincerely apologize that the speed in which things are happening does not meet your standards.
Negative experience: UPDATE: Wow, so after the snarky reply, which I was laid up with an injury, Village Fittness, but nice try trying to call me out, I tried to cancel my membership but was given incorrect contact info to send info to. Had to go in. Their staf was very friendly but their management seems intent on ripping me off because they wouldn't even give me back my money for the month that was literally taken out of my account a few days ago. Something has changed here in the last several months and not for the better. Been waiting MONTHS for the pool and hot tub to be fixed, being told by signage and staff that it was going to be any time. Now apparently they're not going to open it at all. What a lie!

The information is posted on our website, as well as we have trained our staff to verbally let our members know that we were no longer going to offer those amenities Your last check in was on the 16th of January, we recently opened up our sauna and are waiting on parts for our steam room. Negative experience: Members who don't wipe down machines after use. People taking up 2 to 3 machines with towels and other gym items. Worse of all no motivation quite like a library and coffee shops player better music.

Negative experience: Called to ask about membership (Interested in Zumba classes & the pool) and rep (carlos?) said the pool has been closed almost a year & to not ask him when it will open. Then he said he doesn't know how much Zumba classes are (long pause) I inquired "how do I find out" and he said "we have a weird computer system and I can't tell you until you sign up, its an additional fee." (insert second long pause). By far the most awkward convo I've had TRYING to buy something.

They are working very hard to make Village Fitness the best gym in the Rogue Valley. They have been focused on getting the sauna and steam room open having staff work 7 days a week to make sure the members get to enjoy every aspect of their memberships, and of course cleanliness of the gym has been top priority.Along with new management, almost 90% of our current staff are new that were hired under our new management. They are knowledgeable and eager to help our members any way possible.In regards to zumba classes, or any classes they come with our Basic+ and Fitness membership tiers. Fantastic experience: Before it Became Village fitness the place had a rather unclean look about it. Now it always look clean. New equipment and giving the pool area more detailed attention is a big plus for me. Like how they had blocked the windows so people can't see in from outside the workout areas. Newer lockers in the locker rooms and keeping the shower area clean is hugh plus. Of course not everyone cleans up after the messes they make but most people do. The cleaning crew seems to work at being on top of things. Hope they keep up with all the improvements and cleanliness and thanks.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been coming here for some time. We considered switching to Planet Fitness, for the lower price, but I was not impressed with my experience at Planet...in contrast, Village Fitness staff are super nice and helpful, the equipment is in great condition, the atmosphere is great and, there's much more room. Love this place!!!

Negative experience: I helped out a friend and got them a membership, the representative told me nothing would be charged to my card. They just needed a card on file, turns out the representative was lying to me. I called the gym to tell them about this and it was like they couldn't even help me, but they sure can take my money. So for the last couple of months I've been being charged and the assistant manager pretty much told me good luck.

We want to assure you that this is not the level of service we strive to provide and we're sorry to hear that your experience with our gym has been less than satisfactory.I also want to let you know that we have a brand new management team that has been inhouse for about 2 months. They are working hard to make sure situations like this never happen again.We would be happy to give you a managers special if you wanted to come check the club out again. There are a lot of GREAT things happening now and planned for the future.
Negative experience: Inappropriate and unprofessional staff (especially their Instagram stories)…one trainer in particular posted a meme showing support about “getting vaccinated in the locker room” alluding to steroid use. The trainers regularly train people with incorrect form and cues to the point I was concerned for potential injury. I’ve been a trainer since 2014 (almost 8 years) and it’s honestly cringe worthy to see trainers not even adjusting equipment to the proper height (such as seats) or weight. Someone’s going to get hurt, and it might be one of their trainers since they are obviously undereducated and misinformed (and regularly post Instagram content with entirely improper form). Not enforcing mandates— just last week a trainer was working out in the group fitness room with a young woman, both without masks on. He wore a face shield on top of his forehead (not covering his face) and his trainee wasn’t wearing a face covering of any kind. I had spoken to several staff members about gym goers not wearing masks and was told “they can’t police everyone.” Well, then you’re not enforcing mask mandates? Hmm. Equipment frequently out of service and unclean!! They vaccuum the floors regularly but don’t wipe under, around, or on top of the equipment. Bars regularly covered in grime/foam from mats. I should have taken photos but I canceled my membership and will not be going back.
Alyssa,We are very sorry to hear about your experience here at Village Fitness and the way prior staff acted.Since your posted, Village Fitness has all new management that is in house since January 2023, as well as 90% new staff to include personal trainers.We also understand your frustration during Covid, and staff making jokes and not following mandates. We take these things very seriously, and should any future community health outbreaks happen know that we will follow any and all mandates to make sure the health and safety of our members is our priority.With our new management the cleanliness of the gym has been our TOP priority. We have our cleaning staff work 7 days a week, and not to just surface clean. We power wash our locker rooms almost daily, as well as spot check them every few hours. Our floors are constantly vacuumed and equipment is always wiped down.We welcome you to come see all the great changes we have made here at the Village and would like to offer you a managers special if you were to come visit us again!
Positive experience: I go to Planet fitness since over a year ago which I enjoy, N there equipment is a good fit for me, although I like the treadmills much better here . but I really wanted swimming N Steam room..Heard of Village fitness and went for trial visits a bit before Covid.. Enjoyed pool n the temp was usually good, But Steam room was closed even before Covid n I kept being told they were working on it to get it opened asap BUT it was constantly delayed..then Covid came.. Since they reopened, the pool is huge for me ( since for me it's a non evasive exercise to not have weight/pressure on leg/knee after a HD accident or knee bone on bone etc )the temp was usually decent to not get goose bumps, but at times it was chilly (N this is huge part of exercise for me) I asked about temp months ago n first I was told there was a temp gauge in pool ( which I never found, then told it was in cement near end of pool) usually it feels warm enough n to very comfortable to swim for awhile. But about 3 weeks ago it was chilly after 10 mins I had goose bumps n got out. I had asked some other women what they thought, they too said it was more chilly.. I called a couple weeks ago n asked about this issue, he told me they had gotten complaints from women that day after a swim class. And it could be heater n equipment sensor that's not right. The stupid temp sensor always says 81 but clearly it's faulty* And other times I asked I was told everything is fine..the truth is what we need n want plz , not a repeat of pretending all is good when it's not* Sadly I haven't hardly gone in past 2 weeks because if water isnt warmer I cannot stay in it the 45 mins or so that I need to.. I met Pete in beginning n always feel confident of what's said is truth* He's totally a great person to talk to there.* I go in evenings N the guys working are very polite n helpful.( I use a knee scooter and I'm very thankful n blessed by Nate n Dillion who get the door for me, which means alot) I think the Owner/manager really cares about making this gym way better, N has done alot of renovations in past several monthsz N cleaning staff are doing a great job (from areas I've seen ) The hours of staying open till 11pm was important for me, but then back in Sept they went to 9, N I was told they were training people they needed so they could go back to 11pm. 2months later N told same thing *.. overall I love this gym, but pool temp needs to be warmer consistently..Give Village fitness a try N talkto Pete*.
Positive experience: Village must have got a new power washer. They are using it during work- out hours in the pool, steam and shower areas. The noise is excruciating. Why not do that kind of cleaning after hours? We are glad to know there is some level of cleaning going on, but really, the noise is too much.
Fantastic experience: Great gym! We have had a personal trainer for the last two months. He meets us there in the morning 3 days a week. He’s always checking in via text how the diet is going, or how we are feeling if we had a really good workout. He is always willing to modify the workout if we are still sore from the workout before and vise versa. If we need a heavier lift day, he will accommodate. Couldn’t ask for a better communicator and motivator. He will always walk us through the lift first using correct form and then watches us to make sure we are doing it correctly. Every time I’ve gone in everyone had their mask on but he has had to tell people to mask up if it falls under their nose and don’t fix it. They fix it right away when he asks them to.

Positive experience: The fact that they are closing at 2pm the day BEFORE Thanksgiving is extremely disappointing!! Don't understand this at all.
Positive experience: love that they really cleaned up this place. new equipment and look just wish they would have fixed up the sauna
Negative experience: After the new owner purchased my gym memebership they told me that they had no record that my daycare was included. look at my contract, they said they didn’t have it. check your computer, they said they just switched programs and lost that info. I told them it sounds like a problem on their end and they need to show a little customer service and take care of it. They said that I needed to bring in my copy of the contract or they wouldn’t let me kids in. They did this to all of their customers who had paid upfront for childcare. Sleazy way to run a business. Horrible customer service. UPDATE: after reading my review the management called and extended our membership 6 months for free and included childcare to recover from their mistake. I’m still too stressed to feel comfortable working out there again but it’s nice to know that they are willing to try.
Positive experience: All I ask of anyone is to speak truthfully. Have had several employees including management LIE to me repeatedly as to conditions and improvements of hot tub, wet sauna, etc. over the last 10 years...new manager Kevin is a refreshingly, truthful man and I see many improvements. GOD bless him
Positive experience: I really enjoy going here and its never super busy like other gyms. The pool area is nice and lots of equipment. But the mens locker room needs some serious cleaning especially the shower floors my goodness its nasty. Those floors should be cleaned a minimum of 2 times per day.

Fantastic experience: This gym is a fantastic place to improve your health and quality of life. The new owners are committed to providing an atmosphere of growth and accountability. The equipment is all newer and in great working order. Where this place really shines is in the group classes and small group training. They have many class options for varying age and skill levels and all the teachers are very knowledgeable. Angela Quintero, in particular, is absolutely incredible! She truly cares for her clients and invests in them because she wants to see them succeed and conquer all of their health and fitness goals. She helped me immensely last year. I was able to lose 50 lbs and increase my flexibility and stability all while dealing with some chronic neck and back issues. She was really helpful with making sure my form and posture was correct so I would not have any setbacks with my injury. Seriously cant recommend her or this gym enough! Thanks Village Fitness for creating an environment and culture to achieve the best outcomes for our health and our lives!
