Negative experience: Made me at 90$ for base while my freinds pay 12$ and 50$ annual I don’t mind the 50-60$ but 91$ for training I didn’t ask for okay weird Ass manager also fighting to to refund me also Angie all she wants is money and doesn’t wanna refund.

Negative experience: I did like this gym but getting lied too was just what made me cancel this membership. I called because I just had a baby and wanted to cancel but the manager had told me I can put it on hold for 6 months and won't get charged. The he manager had told me when I'm ready to come back I can arrange a payment plan and make it work. I was so fascinated with this idea because I do love to work out and it's across the street from my house. Unfortunately today I was charged 85 dollars that I had in my bank account that I was relying for any baby needs since I cannot work for a bit and have a C section. The fact that crunch came up with a plan for me and then took it from me is so disappointing because I was planning on going back but now I just feel betrayed. Please be careful everyone if you put your account on hold they will still charge you monthly and annual.

Negative experience: To whom it may concern: Just wanted to let you know that today I tried joining and they sent me to the Norwalk gym as I was told this gym was the best option for me because of the sauna option and more high end. The staff said the Norwalk gym was bigger and better over all, and to definitly check out the Norwalk Crunch. So I did,... Here are some complains that was just too much to ignore. There was no soap in any showers, in fact they were broken and had mole / bacteria growth. I took pictures. there was a large puddle of water that I almost felt and slipped on. I took pictures of this too. Someone could really get hurt. You staff should really dry the floor and fix why the water doesn't run off to where its suppose to. the Sauna which I was told was a vip feature of Crunch Fitness, well the glass door doesn't open all the way it hits the floor. so I big person is not able to fit through that door way. also the sauna has no light. it looks scary and dangerous to be in a hot room with no light where you can't see who is next to you. its pitch dark. that needs fixing. I also notice that there is soap bars/ and plastic bottles with soap on the floor. People bring in their own soap bc the shower have to soap. The soap dispensers are broken. Also, there is a lot of trash on the floor in the locker rooms such as used clothing left behind and drink cups the kind you buy from fast food restaurants, old sweater on top of lockers. I took pictures of all these items Iam speaking of. if you can please forward them to corporate office. I would like for you to respond to me with an email address for corporate. furthermore There is no place where you can hang your towel in the sauna area. once again I was told to check out this gym for a more exclusive vip experience but what I saw was just horrible. its a gym that has not had any maintenance or cleaning in a very long time. I was looking to start membership here soon. The mirrors are pretty gross and worn at the bottom of the glass with discoloration. I notice water damage / on the ceiling and wall. doesn't look safe. The worst past was the mole and bacteria (brown color) on the soap dispenser. I took real good pictures of this. I thought I reach out to you before I posted any of this online. Please respond back to me with management information and a corporate email and phone number to address these issues further. I really don't like seeing these young kids who are all working out having to deal with an unsanitary gym. All the members deserve better than these conditions. I tried to get a hold of corporate but after trying this was my only alternative. The pictures speak for themselves

Negative experience: Owners unresponsive to cancel membership. Good luck cancelling once you sign up.

Positive experience: Has a lot of rooms when you can do your more “private” workouts. The attention was super good.

Negative experience: By far the worst crunch fitness I’ve been to. If I could leave zero stars I would have. The machines are always broken or “loose”, weights everywhere that it seems no one picks up or cares for this gym at all. To top it off, I went to cancel my membership already knowing how “CRUNCH FITNESS” operates having worked at a similar gym. The girl manager (didn’t catch her name but was nice) notified me I had to pay my last month’s dues in order to cancel so I left to pull out cash. When I returned I was “helped” by a guy with the name tag MARIO who was extremely rude. I asked for PRINTED CONFIRMATION that it was cancelled and he replied, “there’s no way for me to print out a receipt but you can take a picture with your phone”. I then asked how will I know it’s cancelled, can I get an email?” and he responded “BECAUSE IM TELLING YOU ITS CANCELLED!! YOU ASKED ME AND IM ANSWERING YOU!!” He didn’t need to shout at me as I’m already walking away from him towards the door. Extremely unprofessional behavior with other members standing there watching and to condescendingly mention for me to have a great day. The way this crunch handles their cancellations is unacceptable and very disappointing. I will never give my business back to this company and I hope others do not as well. I’ve only see horrible customer service reviews from this gym.

Negative experience: Horrible managers especially Luna. I open a membership online but unfortunately I had to move to a different state I went second day to talk to her Luna asked her ti help me cancel membership she said no. Then I called the next day and the next then on the fiourth day another”manager” said that I should had cancel on the third day not the fourth. I asked for a manager and it was Lina she said I cannot cancel then I asked her to change the membership to a cheaper plan cuz I was not going to the gym cuz I was moving and I didn’t have a car . She said I had to go in person. And pay more . Today I read the cancellation agreement and it says I can cancel seven days after . Which they denied . Now they charged me the annual fee when it is a month to month no attachment. Membership. These managers are trash. They’re rude careless and do nothing g to give good service. Train people better.

Fantastic experience: Jesús and Angie are exemplary employees and front desk workers in the gym. Always attentive and aware of their surroundings. I never have an issue expressing what I need from them. They’re quick on their feet. I love how they always make you feel good when you come in and when you leave. I always see them with a welcoming smile on their faces. As the first thing you see when you walk into the gym, it's always refreshing to see them. Being a regular with my man for almost 4 years we have met most of the staff and I honestly would put them in charge of the rest of the staff to give them training on how to be as attentive as Jesús and Angie. They’re always on point and making the workout 100% better with their energy and charisma. The new staff, however, don’t even look up or aren’t even aware enough of their surroundings. It’s difficult to even get their attention and when you're cooling down and they are just taking forever to even figure out you are even there it gets really frustrating. Without Angie and Jesús’s friendly disposition, my man and I wouldn't have probably not continued to go to this gym. Give Angie and Jesús a raise and a promotion because they both deserve it. Considering they're the only ones who I see who put some actual work and effort into their job. They are the faces of the gym and set the bar so high for those who work around them. This gym wouldn't be the same without their effort.

Positive experience: New layout looks and feels great. New dumbbells and squat racks are a huge plus. Machines break down regularly which is something I hope they address soon. Overall great improvements.

Negative experience: The mens locker room, bathroom, showers, and sauna are very dirty. Many of the showers are either missing shower heads or shower curtains. There are plastic water bottles and trash under the bench in the sauna. A piece of the wooden bench is broken/missing. Lastly the sauna door scrapes the tile floor leaving small fragments of glass. Honestly just go to another crunch location.

Positive experience: They really need to do something about the men’s locker room. The locks on the lockers are getting out of control it’s not sanitary who’s knows what people leave in those lockers .

Fantastic experience: Open 24/7! Great customer service from the staff i encountered. Luna & Angie have helped me countless of times from giving me tips to sharing amazing friend passes. If only the people here cleaned up like they keep their house the staff hard work would reflect. Thank you girls for the hard work! It doesn’t go unnoticed

Fantastic experience: Good experience every single time. I’ve been coming here for years. They’re across from Cerritos college in which attracts a lot of college kids that are still learning gym to clean after themselves. The staff manage to clean the gym to maintain the good energy and cleanliness! Shout out to Luna and Angie who keep the face of crunch and customer service looking good!

Fantastic experience: Shout out to Angie & Luna!! Best supporting staff that has helped me when I needed it. Thank you ladies! I notice people say they had a bad experience but that’s far from the truth. I witness these same people failing to re-rack their own weights plus trashing this place after the staff cleaned up!! They also complain for basic gym etiquette that they never learn about.

Negative experience: Hello I’m sending the message regarding a bad experience I had at the gym today. My name is Christian Zuniga I’ve been going to Crunch for a while now in Norwalk. I myself have a membership and my wife. I’ve never had a bad experience. For the past weeks my wife has been going with my sister with the trainer Daniel (great trainer). My wife and sister usually go together because I work. On May 7 was the first time I had a bad encounter with one of your managers Jonathan. As my guest I was trying to take my brother in law and he gave me a really hard time about letting him in. Which I didn’t understand because I am allowed to bring in a guest. Today I had another bad encounter with your manager Jonathan. For the same reason. My sister and I got to the gym first and a while after her boyfriend got there so I went to bring him in. The manager Jonathan didn’t want to let him in. He proceeded to tell me there’s a rule that the guest must be present at the time I get to the gym. There’s sign of all the rules in the gym all over and I’ve never once heard about this. If this is a rule I would of expected to be informed about it from the day I signed up as a member letting me know. I asked him if it was fine for this just one time to let him in and next time he would be present. Yet he decided to keep arguing with me. I will return to crunch but it will be to cancel my wife’s and my membership. I will not be going to a gym where managers are easy arguing to their clients. Sent from my iPhone

Negative experience: If it wasn't for the fact that it has a (barely functional) sauna, this Crunch would go out of business. Horrible machines/weights no cable attachments (not a joke) and overall feels nothing like other crunch gyms that do an amazing job of keeping a clean place.

Negative experience: This soo embarrassing not only poor manage equipment but to get newer working out equipment they have to hold your ID that’s crazy the air always blowing 24/7 ready for someone to get sick I don’t recommend this location to anyone your better off going to the Cerritos location and that has everything better equipment and environment Don’t come to this location and there response will be a BOT response

Negative experience: I only Like to work out here for the sauna but it’s either closed or something is always not working employees never can be found , crunch in Lakewood is a lot cleaner just does not have a sauna.

Negative experience: The BOXING/KICKBOXING ROOM in which the boxing bags are hanged to train boxing/kickboxing only has 1 PUNCHING BAG now, it used to be completely full of punching bags and it was badass! and now only 1 bag remains and it seems like its about to break as well and they havent done anything about it! I had asked them and they said they were were going to get a new set of bags back in DECEMBER and its been like 4 months now! RIDICULOUS

Negative experience: So the rumor on this gym is the owner of it doesnt wanna put money into the gym for equipment or anything else of that matter, it use to be a good gym nd still has the potential of one but the lack of effort to maintain shows, do not get a membership here

Negative experience: Beware. NOTHING WORKS HERE. Suana doesn’t work anymore and machines always get broken. Takes forever to even REPAIR. Also the cardio machines suck! this gym needs a major upgrade. Def moving to another gym!

Negative experience: Scratching my head like how is this gym still open. It smells bad, half of the machines don’t work, and trash on every machine. I didn’t even try to take a look at the restroom . Definitely canceling the membership.

Negative experience: Gym crunch in Norwalk is one of the nastiest gyms I’ve ever seen in my entire life the staff at leave the gym unattended to go smoke in front of the gym like if it was their house, I try putting in a complaint and the manager right now told me that she can submit a complaint against her coworkers and then most likely when they were smoking was most likely when they were on their own time meaning if they were on break, they could smoke outside in the front weed , and they leave to the gas station across the street to go by food and leave the front unattended leaving the front exposed to anybody that could be dangerous, on top of it all the machines are broken for the majority. If you go into the boxing room, there’s only one punching bag they took everything out. And as you’re walking up to go into the dressing rooms, you see that big O space that is free back then there was nothing but machines on that gap. And they slack on restocking, the restrooms showers, and even when the soap so you can wash your hands. And in the raining season, the whole roof is falling in the men’s restroom. It sucks that I have paid for a whole year so I had to get stuck with the same gym but now I got off the hook but I promise you will regret going to that gym

Fantastic experience: The atmosphere is positive when i go in the mornings. Joaquin is the personal trainer that works with us and man his skills are impeccable. Highly recommend tĥe boxing lessons with him in the mornings!

Positive experience: One of the cleaner Crunch gyms I have been to. They are probably the only one in the area with a sauna and I’ve hardly ever seen it being serviced or down. I have always seen staff cleaning the restrooms and gym floor. The reason I have low stars is because they removed many cardio equipment and it’s been an empty space since. Some of the equipment requires repairs and they haven’t don’t much to fix which is what I would like to see!

Positive experience: Lots of equipment but can get really busy in the evening. sometimes you have to wait with like five people ahead of you. I dislike how stuffy and hot it was, because of the lack of windows, ventilation and fresh air. Its disgusting honestly I don’t need to be smelling people’s BO.

Positive experience: Deteriorating machines and gear. Kind of smelly. Men's bathroom is kind of gross and has had 2 broken sinks for 3 months. The staff are nonchalant but are kind of useless when it comes to canceling membership. Not their fault, but its hard to reach the manager, who DOES NOT RESPOND TO EMAILS.

Fantastic experience: The gym is nice , they have plenty of machines and is pretty clean. The customer service is amazing, I bought my membership from Leo , he made it really easy to sign up

Negative experience: The general manager does not approve of strength training, half of the treadmill’s do not work, only one or two of the four stair masters are always on maintenance. Deteriorating machines. Bathroom is always hot and smells of BO. Two sinks have been broken for months.

Fantastic experience: Definitely recommend crunch fitness. They have friendly customer agents always clean. Always real respectful. The equipment is good quality always have updating the maintenance. Definitely recommend it. The people working there always looking if they can help you in anyway.

Positive experience: I went in today and more than half of all cardio machine are broken . They need to be fixed or replaced . Other than that the gym okay , staff is nice but yeah machine need to be fixed one role of machine and only 3 work no good

Positive experience: This crunch has lots of potential. But there are some cons. 1. Not enough dumbbells and corresponding benches. Barely any actually. 2. The lighting is horrible IMO. It’s so dark it puts me to sleep and makes me not wanna workout 3. Lots of wasted space in the back where they used to have cardio machines. Hopefully they’re waiting on new products or something. Pros: 1. SAUNA 2. Large and lots of areas to workout. 3. 24/7 open.

Negative experience: I used to be a member here, but left for a closer gym. Not too long ago I went back and I can honestly say this gym has gotten much worse. There is smell of sweat, normal for a gym, but it is so strong. Besides that, there are machines still broken from before I left the gym and some new ones that broke. Management needs to step it up because there is only so much the employees can do.

Positive experience: Some of the machines and corners of the floor could use some fixing but still a great place to go get a great workout.

Don’t go to the gym when it rains, it’s always leaking And management is hard to reach to busy leaving the gym to flirt with immature staff.

Positive experience: I’ve been going to this Crunch location for about a year and a half, and honestly I can say it’s great. There’s a lot of equipment for use, the community is very nice and accepting, staff are very polite and respectful, I often see staff communicating with their regulars as well. I’ve loved the time I spent here. However, this location does not have their cleanliness up to standard. By 11:00pm, all the gym equipment is out of place. Not only that, the parking lot has been heavily littered for months and nobody cares to do anything about it. Other than that, great gym, affordable prices, positive community, I would highly recommend it.

Negative experience: I love this gym, environment is welcoming, staff is pleasant But a lot of machines are always broken. There’s always a lot of treadmills that are broken and the stair masters never work. It’s so unfortunate, I pay for a membership but can hardly use any cardio machines after or before my workout. Makes me want to look for another gym that doesn’t have their machines constantly broken.

Positive experience: The gym is too warm for my liking and it affects my endurance and stamina. The machines are frequently broken. There are sooooo many elliptical machines that aren't used and takes up space. It should be replaced with more desired machines and free weights. The women's steam room has been broken for a very very long time.

Negative experience: Honestly the lack of maintenance to the gym is ridiculous. Consistent broken equipment. 2 of the 6 treadmills broken for over 6 months. Today in the sauna someone added some kind of substance to the heater that was irritating to the eyes and made it difficult to breathe. Negative experience: The pictures online make it look way bigger than it really is. There are a ton of cardio machines, but the weight area is tiny, the most common weights are all missing, & there's hardly place to stand even at 9 PM.

Negative experience: So many machines are broken and never fixed. All stepper is not working well and they took out of machines out the gym and never replace it. All yoga mats are dirty and torn. They just leave it. Don’t recommend

Positive experience: Gets fairly busy. It appears most people work out here are trying to be olympic lifters. allot of dead lifts going on. one issue with these deadlifters, then tend to take up the squat rack area for some time. treadmills are not the most kept up, they tend to stick or not work. allot of dumbells if you can get to use them. decent heavy bag area and an area with extra weights where classes tend to take priority. they have a sauna and they go 24 hours, so thats a plus.

Negative experience: Called to cancel membership they said I had to go in person to cancel. When I went in to cancelled I asked if I can get my refund for a pending transaction and they said no.Even though I called before and did not use my membership. Worst customer service. There should be a policy to be able to cancel over phone and if your not using membership you should be intitled to get a refund. Anything to get your money. They are over priced and staff is rude.****FYI I called corporate there is nothing they can do this is a independent franchise. My personal opinion I would check out LA fitness across the street.

Positive experience: Great gym overall. Staff great, cleanliness, great, amenities good. Only thing is that some of the equipment could use more preventative maintenance, and only one heat element in the mens sauna is working.

Negative experience: I love that they are 24/7 and have a sauna but they have so many machines that are broken/not replaced or fixed. Maybe half of the treadmills at most work, they have a small amount of workout machines and half the time they don't work. The free weight section is small and good luck if you can get to in without waiting at least 30 minutes. I went to the Cerritos Crunch and it is WAY better than the Norwalk Crunch.

Positive experience: I enjoy my classes at crunch Norwalk! However I only go to classes due to how busy the weight machines get. Like hour long lines....The equipment is often broken and the massage chair is awkwardly in the middle of the room but I love the sauna! People are friendly but mind their business guess that's what you get for a cheap gym membership!

Fantastic experience: its a great gym so many handsome dudes and the atmosphere is awesome -------it just gets really packed and no one puts away their weights or clean their equipment its a mess and there is a lot of damaged weights they throw their weights on the floor and misuse machines i wanted to rate a 3 but i did not want to be rude. and they also the only gym opened 24 hrs right now.

Fantastic experience: Love the welcoming atmosphere at this gym. Staff is nice, they have the best selection of workout equipment from any crunch I’ve been to in the area, which is why I made this my home gym. The price for membership is also extremely reasonable. The owner is really awesome too. He let me show up with my CBD pet products to promote one day since I’m a fellow local wellness promoting small business owner. Great gym all around, hands down.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! They stayed open throughout the entire pandemic and we truly appreciate it. They’re back to 24 hours and have an open sauna and the classes will make you sweat. Definitely try out the HIIT classes!
