Fantastic experience: I love this location it’s the best gym I’ve ever gone to and I’ve been to a lot since I used to work in the Fitness Industry. Brooke, Ariley and Karina in the front desk are amazing and always very friendly and helpful . The cleaning staff at night are also great Anthony and Kevin are friendly and always making sure the place is clean .
Fantastic experience: I go here for my Senior classes on Tuesday and Thursday. I’ve met a lot of friends and Brenda is a terrific instructor who is very in tune with her students. More seniors should join us! Also the staff when entering is always happy to see us.
Negative experience: Unfortunately an extremely Unfriendly staff. Especially the would-be manager who is not really looking healtjy. First we had to fill out a complete form for a daily pass and then they wanted 40 dollars per person for a day's training. You should discuss your condition before you are asked to go to all this trouble. Every other gym charges a maximum of 20 dollars for a trial workout, a completely outdated gym wants 40 dollars…

Fantastic experience: I love the 5:15am cycling class because it works out with my schedule. I get my workout done before I start my day and it makes me feel like I can accomplish anything throughout the day. Thank you for instructors Bastian and Stephanie coming in early to teach the Cerritos cycling class. They show their enthusiasm, dedication and commitment and are always punctual rain or shine.

Fantastic experience: I am so thankful to Sylvia Armendariz, a Yoga instructor at Gold’s Gym, Cerritos. She is an awesome Instructor. She is very knowledgeable about yoga and goes all out to describe each move step by step in a systematic manner. Sylvia is well versed in various yoga moves. Further her meditative music enhances the ambiance to another level. I very much enjoy her class and look forward to attend every class without any hesitation. She is a valuable asset to Golds gym. I hope that management will recognize her talent and have her teach more yoga classes.

Fantastic experience: Second day after cancelling my 24 hour fitness membership. Biggest difference is the cleanliness. More crowded than I’m used to which led to some wait times for the machines. Treadmills seem to always be available where I spend the most time. I love the massage chairs

Fantastic experience: Golds cerritos is great! I was able to sign up online with their Deluxe Passport deal and then come into the gym and easily activate my membership. All the staff at Gold’s are really friendly and helpful as well. The equipment is clean and still in good shape, theres also many different machines, this is always really nice because even when it is peak hour at the gym, you’re still able to score a machine or squat rack without having to wait!

Negative experience: Horrible experience here due to customer service and would recommend all to go to another gym. Was brought in as a guest, not my first time, and the system wouldn’t capture my data. I submitted twice and nothing, so the girl brought manager. Then another guest signed up while I was still waiting with destiny on the system, and this guy working named Kevin just let THE OTHER GUEST IN without checking while I was standing there !! Like come on man, you have to have more brains than that ! I was like whoa dude, you’re stopping me, telling me it’s company policy to check if the guest waiver went through but JUST BROKE POLICY IN FRONT OF ME ?? How did management even hire you ?! What a bad look for them not to be consistent. Felt like discrimination smh and not good for a gym. Not worth the price here at Gold’s. Go to another gym
Fantastic experience: Going at the gym at 5am is nearly perfect here. Only complaint I would have is that some of the nightly gym goers don’t re-rack their weights and you can see them on the turf area and other miscellaneous places throughout the gym in the morning. Other than that, great gym.
Fantastic experience: Great gym- clean, machines are in great condition, the locker room is impeccable. Only flaw is the sauna does not turn on until 6:08 am. PLEASE CHANGE THE TIMER FOR THE WOMENS SAUNA TO 5:50am. Sauna is cold when I finish my workout.
Fantastic experience: The manager Ed is the bomb. He knows how to run this place and so personable. I'm from out of state and he always remembers me every time I'm in town to workout.
Negative experience: It’s not about where you train, it’s how you train. People get excited because they’re training at “Golds Gym” look at me! So expect heavy traffic from gym influencers. Your average wait time will be 25-20 minutes for a bench press due to multiple people waiting before you. it’s really trashy there, No one wipes down the machines, paper towels on the floor, in cup holders, benches are starting to rip, plates and kettle bells everywhere on the floor. People don’t have gym etiquette unfortunately. 10/10 gym 3.5/10 quality, hygiene. It’s like skid row bums work out here,People leave trash everywhere and that’s the sad part. It’s rare to see staff pick up trash. I bet if they were at their mama house they wouldn’t leave it a mess idk. That’s why I have two gym memberships, golds and blink in bellflower, the vibe is nice and chill, no long lines to wait, clean and everybody knows each other.
Fantastic experience: I love going to Sylvia Armendariz's yoga class every Tuesday and Thursday. I have been coming to her class for almost a year now. Her yoga class has helped me with my neuropathy health issues tremendously. Her flow and voice is easy to follow and very relaxing. I always feel refreshed after each class. I hope she will teach at Golds Gym forever!
Fantastic experience: I have been a member here since December 2023 and come in 1-2x a week. Surprised how clean they keep the equipment and common areas. There are always people going around cleaning. Equipment works well, rare to fund an out of order machine. AC in summer keeps it cool, staff is friendly. Ed the manager cares about everything and has a great attitude too. Like any gym, you can't account for selfish people who tie up more than one machine or someone who doesn't wipe down everything, but overall, people here are courteous towards each other. Gold's Cerritos has motivated me to stick to working out, that's my best compliment.
Negative experience: Way too many group of kids hanging out and staying at one machine for a long time. Too many people with tripods taking pics with no consideration for other members. The staff doesn’t really enforce anything either. That’s why I go to EōS Fitness in Hawiian Gardens.
Negative experience: Forget about actually exercising here and getting to use the machines you're paying for. It's like Disneyland wait times for any machine. Overcrowded and sounds like a nightclub with the music being audible even from the bank a few hundred feet away. I tried a free trial and was never able to use anything other than a treadmill because there were too many people. Parking is horrible and the Plaza hates gym goers because they take up the whole lot. Staff aren't helpful and the gym goers themselves aren't the best. I've seen multiple occasions of certain members speeding in the lot and nearly causing accidents.
Fantastic experience: I go to group fitness classes here. I absolutely love my Les Mille instructors. Sanna, Brian and Gwen are rockstars. They’re super strong and knowledgeable. They know how to motivate and inspire! Sylvia teaches the most beautiful Hatha sequence classes. She lives, teaches and inspires yoga. She teaches with passion, skill, knowledge and grace. These classes taken separately or combined have done so much for me. I highly recommend coming to get strong in mind and body under the guidance of these teachers.
Negative experience: Do not get a membership with this gym/location unless you are absolutely sure you will stay for at least one year, otherwise they will charge you unreasonable cancelation fees and they will lie to you about it. They will rush you into signing the agreement. Do not let them and read it carefully. I signed up because they claimed equipment was always available and they didn’t have a problem with overcrowding, equipment not working, or cleanliness. That was not the case. After months of having a membership that I was not using, I called to cancel through ABC Financial Services, their business associates, which by the way will keep you waiting on an attendant for long periods of time. They told me I would need to pay a $50 cancellation fee. I said “okay, process it and send me the cancellation agreement” because I wanted to make sure it reflected $50. They sent it to me and it reflected a $50 cancelation fee. So I thought, “they will just charge me the $50 and I’m good.” They instead charged me $100, split into two $50 fees on April 2 and April 3. I called multiple times and spoke to multiple reps, all confirming that one of the $50 charges was an error/duplicate and that I would get reimbursed within 5 to 7 business days. Today, two months after seeing no reimbursements, I called and asked to speak to a supervisor to ask about their failure to reimburse me one of the $50 fees. spoke to someone named Jessica, and she stated the fee was $100 -period! I explained to her the situation and told her about THEIR WRITTEN cancelation agreement which reflects $50, her subordinates confirming multiple times that there was a duplicate charge, and that I would get reimbursed. She just refused to be reasonable and to honor their own written cancelation agreement. Do not sign up with this gym! They are unprofessional and unethical. They will steal money from you!
Negative experience: They refused to cancel my trial when I emailed them before it expired. I had a 7 day trial end emailed on the 5th day. It explicitly states on their website that you should email to cancel. I could not call because I had to travel overseas urgently - when I managed to get cell service they refused to refund me... even though I had emailed, as it explicitly says to do on their website, within the 7-day trial, and I was billed $45 for the first month. Why write on the website that you email to cancel if you are not going to check the emails, or honor requests made over email?
Negative experience: Beware this place is not secured … my locker was broke in to … took my wallet and ask for help on the front desk and they said it will be until Monday … really … !!!!!!!!!!manager are not avail really !!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t believe this is how they take care of things …. Manager should be avail 24/7 if there’s any incident …. And there’s another incident I left my shoe unattended to go pee after I came back somebody just took it … I let it go bec I think the person who took it need the shoe very bad … but Now it makes me scared to do my workout here now …. Worst of the worst experience…. So watch out …. Don’t enroll here bec you might become a victim and nobody will help u at all
Negative experience: Don't bother getting the platinum membership for the Escape room at this gym. People constantly let in their friends in the Escape room and using up all of the squat racks/machines and the staff does not care. Just like today, 1 person let in 3 of their friends and took both of the functional trainers in the back. The door is also too light to close all the way when the air conditioning is on so it is open all the time and people also just sneak in as well. I will probably get a generic response from gold's staff about how they will try to do better but nothing will be done about it. I have already informed staff about this 1 year ago and nothing has been done. They need to start doing hourly membership checks. Once again, DO NOT buy the platinum membership, you wont have access to the equipment due to non-platinum members sneaking in the Escape room constantly.

Negative experience: They promote falls advertising I referred 3 people with in 1 month & they said it would “automagically” stop charging me it’s been 3 months I’ve called multiple times and I never get. Call back and I’m still not validated after the manager “bill” I believe checked and said I did have the 3 people 3 years free ! I called again this morning because I got charged for my membership once again ! Don’t promote something your not whiling to validate… I live it here but If they don’t honor there word I’m canceling & taking my L .

Fantastic experience: My favorite part of this place are the classes. Especially The Trip, Sprint and 30 minute Core. It’s really the only reason that I keep my membership. Annette is a great instructor and keeps things fun and energetic! I love that Gold’s gym has 30-45 minute classes, I’ve been to other gyms and all their classes are an hour. As a busy single mom I don’t always have an hour to spend in class.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in town hands down! Best group classes too - well structured and coordinated! Brian is one of the most motivating instructors in the gym especially during Sprint, my favorite class! Positive experience: Got a membership september 2023 and have decided to cancel. Overall, the equipment and cleanliness is good and I have no complaints about that. Its just too crowded no matter the time I decide to go.
Fantastic experience: Les Mills, The Climb cycle class at Golds Cerritos on Wednesday nights is the best! Jon keeps you motivated and pushing yourself. You don’t get bored. It’s the only way to cycle at the gym.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for over a year at the Cerritos location (since the gym opened). I attend classes mon-fri and my favorite is the cycling . I cycle 4 times a week. (2 trip classes and 2 sprint) Gold’s gym has been a game changer for me. I’m so happy that this gym opened up in my neighborhood!!

Fantastic experience: I love going to Gold’s gym in Cerritos even though there is a Golds closer to my home. I choose to go to Cerritos because I like the group classes especially the new Body Strengthening class. I also like the Les Mills Trip and the fact that there are always new additions so it never gets boring. All the instructors are great especially Sebastian he is awesome!
Fantastic experience: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE GGX! Body pump, body combat, sprint, Trip, core, body step, body balance and now strength and development! I love GGX at golds Cerritos because I love the Les Mills formats that gives me a full body workout. Golds Cerritos have top notch instructors on top of a variety of classes that fit my schedule. I was sold when Cerritos opened and they had 5:30am classes! I actually cancelled my membership at 24 hour fitness because Golds Cerritos had everything I needed. I am so thankful for all of the golds Cerritos GGX instructors that push me beyond limits to reach my fitness goals while having fun! GGX is family! Special shoutout to the best instructors: Annette Padilla, Bastian, Luna, Crystal, Shawna, Brian, Gwen, Stephanie and Nicole! Fantastic experience: I joined Golds Gym in 2022 and this is the first gym I have consistently gone to EVER! The one and only reason I have stayed consistent is because of the AMAZING classes available with AMAZING trainers. These amazing trainers really encourage growth in your fitness journey and help encourage me to keep going and pushing through the class when it can get challenging to find that endurance. If it weren’t for these classes (THE TRIP, RPM, BODY PUMP & STRENGTH DEVELOPMENT) I would not have been as successful in healthy exercise and achieving a part of my goal and I look forward to continuing so I am able reach my next goal and to be able to continue having the energy etc. to keep up with my wild and crazy 10, 6, & 3 year old kids.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this beautiful gym. The Trip cycling studio is a modern and innovative experience. I especially LOVE the Stages bikes. They offer a smooth and safe ride. The lever adjustment makes it so easy to adjust resistance. I really love the Les Mills formats. Now my son only wants to visit Cerritos to complete The Trip. We really enjoy the changing releases. The instructors all bring a different experience to the ride. You’ve got to check out this beautiful room.

Negative experience: Very unfriendly front desk ladies. Ladies lockers room despite the sign of DO NOT TAKE VIDEOS OR PIC there are still pple doing it and very uncomfortable that you cannot change. Literally should be more strict in that because it's completely violating the rules.

Negative experience: I paid extra for access to "private room" but tripods always set up recording and invading your privacy. Than in the restroom tripods and recording going on in there as well. You want to change but can possibly come out in somebody's video that they're recording of themselves in their bathroom photoshoot. Staff is so helpful to sign u up but will not cancel your membership for you, that you have to do on your own.
Negative experience: Good gym with new equipment and spacious facility. However, the large crowds, at all times of the day, make this gym pretty much unusable for me. It is so packed that I spend more time waiting than working out. The gym locker room is constantly full of people with their cameras and tripods taking poses that it is uncomfortable to change and shower. Requests to refrain from doing this are met with derision as if I am implying that they are taking pictures of me. This is just for the Cerritos location, as the other Golds gyms don’t seem to have these problems.
Negative experience: I absolutely cannot stand the new staff/management. It was such a great environment when Ben was manager! Nothing gets cleaned now. The front desk staff just sit there socializing. I've had to stand there numerous times until they were done with their conversation just to purchase water. Hello Yara,I sincerely apologize. We are typically recognized for our exceptional attention to detail, and we deeply regret that we fell short of our usual standards.
Negative experience: They're such scammers. They didn't mention things in purpose so that I pay extra money every month. When I wanted to cancel the agreement the next day, they said I have to call specific number to cancel. I called them and the representative told me that I have to go to the gym to cancel it. It seemed like their staffs don't even know the cancellation procedures well. When I went all the way to the gym, they just gave me the email address and didn't even give full explanation on how to cancel the agreement. Please be professionals at what you do if you charge $60/month and get someone else's money from their pockets.

Negative experience: If you join this gym just know it’s a hassle to cancel a membership and you have to cancel before your charged again they’ll tell you after canceling 30 days if your membership bill is due in those 30 days you’ll be charged again

Negative experience: One of the dirtiest gym’s I’ve ever been to. The floors in the locker room were black and so were the showers and full of hair. Trash everywhere And The lockers were extremely dusty. Looked like a 24

Negative experience: Worst customer service. They said they canceled my account charged me for 5 months after cancellation and are barely giving me back my refund.
