Aderholt Fitness Center: Opinions

Fantastic experience: Best gym yet!
Fantastic experience: This gym is pretty equipped. I like how there are several workout rooms. The staff are pretty friendly and helpful. The only thing I have to say that they can improve on is the strong smell of chlorine in the bathrooms. And sometimes the fumes from the clorox is so strong it's hard to breathe.
Fantastic experience: This fitness center on Hurlburt AFB is everything. I love the huge track in the back of the gym. It has an outdoor gym. A lot of the Airmen play football in the evenings on the field. It also has a huge indoor basketball court, a boxing room, and a weight room.
Positive experience: Okay gym for lifting, limited machines, not a ton of variety or space. Did come in clutch though when the Commando closed during COVID
Negative experience: Was going to this gym temporarily since commandos ac was having issues. It's cleaner and a nicer facility but the people suck. Had some Karen complain about me making too much noise and i was too aggressive with the weights to the active duty employees. One of em went up to me and told me to stop being aggressive with the weights in a very dismissive way. To conclude this place is weenie hut jrs and commando is salty spitton
Fantastic experience: Clean gym with all the amenities you could reasonably expect of a gym on base including 24hr access
Fantastic experience: I clean this gym on the weekends my favorite building
Fantastic experience: Lots of space and equipment
Fantastic experience: Girls flag football amazing turf to play on . Great fields
Fantastic experience: Great high-quality gym! Very Clean, very quiet. It's such a nice experience. Especially with a full-size combat training room, and regulation ring to practice in.
Fantastic experience: I box here.
Negative experience: Staff doesn't seem to be on the same page.
Fantastic experience: Everything was great
Fantastic experience: Great place to work out
Fantastic experience: Amazing as usual.
Positive experience: Solid Sparring Gym ️♂️
Fantastic experience: Nice facility and good track.
Fantastic experience: Nice and clean
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym. On base, so... obviously not for general public access. Has a great basketball court on the first floor. Along with the basketball court, there is a variety of weight training equipment, both free weights and cable, for all your needs. There is also a stretching/abdominal and raquetball area on the first floor. The second floor is filled with cardio equipment, from stairmasters to ellipticals to a variety of different treadmills. If staying at the Hulrburt side inn (or soundside w/e) definitely a good gym to go to. The track located outside is pretty large with plenty of lanes for running and some strength training located at different legs of the track. There's also some Commando fitness (aka crossfit) areas but never been so can't say anything about it.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful track, loved the classes
Fantastic experience: Clean! Plenty of equipment!
Fantastic experience: Great gym! And pretty good equipment!
Fantastic experience: It is great that I can bring my kiddos while I work out! The parent and tot room is super helpful!
Positive experience: I prefer the commando, but if you are more of a cardio person the aderholt is for you. The spin classes here are very fun.
Fantastic experience: It is great that I can bring my kiddos while I work out! The parent and tot room is super helpful!
Fantastic experience: Cannot ask for a better, more complete fitness center. Everything I could ever need, to include a high quality track and football/soccer field with a recently replaced artificial turf. Also just resumed after hours access to those who register & obtain a pass card. Great for all active duty and retired military members & dependents.
Fantastic experience: Staff is amazing! Great family gym
Fantastic experience: Great gym
Fantastic experience: Staff was very helpful.
Fantastic experience: Clean, nice equipment
Fantastic experience: Great place. Decent selection of weights, lots of cardio machines and an indoor basketball court!
Positive experience: Nice equipment. Just really small/crowded and limited equipment.
Positive experience: Quality weight room for a small number of guests. From what I could find, there's only one barbell bench press, one barbell decline bench, one barbell incline, maybe two squat racks, etc. Upstairs had an impressive cardio room with water rowers, stair climbers, jacobs ladder, newer treadmills, and stationary bikes. Staff was extremely helpful and happy which is always a good sign!
Fantastic experience: Great gym. Lots of free weights, machines, bikes, and a track. Generally not crowded and you can get a good workout in without much delay.
Fantastic experience: A home away from home for those who are serious about gains without being judged. One or two people require etiquette reminding. Great sanitary practicing.
Fantastic experience: Good gym
Fantastic experience: All three facilities on base are first class.
Fantastic experience: Gym was very clean, a lot of equipment, very spacious. I love it. Will definitely continue to go back.
Fantastic experience: Great track and outdoor training area.
Negative experience: I ran here and it was nothing but rats and flies. Worst nature walk ever
Positive experience: Used to love this gym back when it was a “man-cave” style weight room upstairs, now it’s a fitness center. Not bad, not good, just there.
Fantastic experience: Enjoy the spin classes! Definitely keeps the class motivated!
Fantastic experience: Great
Fantastic experience: Best gym on base, check out the commando fitness area outside
Fantastic experience: Use the Alpha Warrior Rig, it's amazing.
Fantastic experience: Great staff! Be sure to take a spin class!!
Fantastic experience: Its a great typical on base gym, except this one has an outside functional and crossfire gym right outside of it and a track
Fantastic experience: Great
Positive experience: Everything an Air Commando needs to stay "Fit to Fight".
Positive experience: Great new football field. Great playground and water play area.
Positive experience: The gym equipment is good for a quick pump but if you want a full workout, you should go to the other base gym. Track is really nice!
Fantastic experience: Great place to work out. A lot less people than the commando. Has everything you a need including a track
Fantastic experience: Outstanding gym. Great equipment. I love the treadmill. It has numerous options to include walking or running in different parts of the world. The machine inclines when simulating the hills. You can watch TV on the machine or do the Internet. You can also connect your phone to the system.
Fantastic experience: Great fitness center for sure!!
Fantastic experience: Awesome gym
Fantastic experience: Only gym with a b-ball court on base
Fantastic experience: Small gym but in side and out door machines
Fantastic experience: Outstanding equipment and friendly staff. Always love coming here, and for any newcomers to healthy lifestyles, don't be scared to come over! Not only is there a huge weight room loaded with equipment to keep the pros busy, there's equipment and free weights for new folks to get started!
Fantastic experience: Thank you very much for your service
Fantastic experience: My fav gym on base! Plenty of equipment and always clean :)
Fantastic experience: A really good gym for everyone regardless of fitness level. 5/2/2108 Update: I still give it 5 stars, but I feel they need to show more love to the crossfit area they have behind it. Two rings, rather than the one that is left hanging by its lonesome. And wooden rings rather than the plastic ones they have now. Possibly some new pull up assist bands as well.
Fantastic experience: Great gym. Air force always has the best. . . Plenty of equipment and cardio machines. Well maintained and not to crowded at most times. 24hr system is nice when it isn't down. Track is awesome especially because you can turn on the field lights when ever you want to use it. Both outside exercise areas are great too. Seriously the pampered chairforce know how to pay for a gym. Unrelated friendly note. Drive the speed limits and stop completely at the stop sign this little airfield has about 40 want to be rent a cops that call themselves security forces and they literally have nothing to do but drive around and hide around in thier squad car being the bluest blue falcons they can be. . ."defending those who defend your freedom" those guys are a bunch of jokes.
Fantastic experience: even at peaked times havent had a bad experience
Positive experience: Work it.
Positive experience: It's a gym, on a military base.
Positive experience: Awesome gym on base
Positive experience: Solid gym. Kind of warm inside
Positive experience: One word. Awesome
Positive experience: Nice track and eqpt. Research ahead for holiday hrs, or you will need special access pass.
Positive experience: A great place to start your daily workout, and also being Fit and active for years to come.
Positive experience: Decent gym. Has cardio rooms, free wieghts, machines and most things you'd expect from a gym. Only wish they has a heavy bag is all, then I'd cancel my membership off base
Fantastic experience: Great Gym on Hurlburt
Fantastic experience: Descent gym with outdoor track and a Basketball court. After hours gym access available
