Zombie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA

Negative experience: If I could give them a 0 I would. Contacted for an information was offered a trial class. Unfortunately they don’t offer as many timeframe options as other similar businesses do. Had to reschedule once due to work. Then my baby got sick and I let them know my 20 year old son would take my younger son, they refused. The next date offered my whole household was sick with the flu. When I advised they stated they could no longer offer me another date. Awful service and a lack of empathy and understanding for families. I’m so happy I did not sign up and pay a business that does not prioritize customer service. Beware of this place, there are better options in the Valley!

What keeps me coming back is the community, culture, and the coaching. Coach Jared is incredibly detail-oriented—he has a sharp eye for catching the key elements I might be missing in my techniques. Even when our styles don’t fully align, his guidance consistently helps me make meaningful improvements in my unorthodox game. One of the things I appreciate most is the variety. Whether I want to focus on strength and conditioning, sharpen my striking, or dive into specific areas of my jiu-jitsu game, the options are always available. I’m also lucky to have training partners who support and collaborate with me, which makes a huge difference. I’m grateful for everything I’ve learned here so far and look forward to continuing my journey with this community along with the other Lehigh Valley schools I visit. My goal is to grow into the best version of myself as a Martial Artist and Zombie plays a big part in that.

Fantastic experience: Best decision OF MY LIFE coming here. I was very nervous at first but Jared was extremely cool and helpful. The training partners are very understanding and will guide you through it. There’s a wide variety of skill levels, shapes and sizes which makes it a fun environment to roll.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Zombie has been fantastic. The technique is top-notch, and the environment is incredibly welcoming. As a college student who spends a few months out of state each year, it's difficult to find a gym that matches the quality of Zombie during my time away.

Fantastic experience: I trained on and off here for about 9 months. The instruction is very detailed, and lots of practitioners are always rolling after class. The color belt instructors are pretty good, but the black belt instructors are very good (makes sense given the extra experience). Matt was my favorite instructor. Not sure if he's still there.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! The owner/head coach Jared runs great classes and is very personable. Gina, who is the head of the kids program is also a Behavior Specialist working with kids by profession and has a great skill set to work with the kids, along with the other kids Coaches. My 6 year old daughter grew through their kids program from the Little’s class and is now in the advanced class! The Kickboxing and Muay Thai program is also developing and very fun along with Jiu Jitsu. Give it a try!!!

I now try to drop in every time I'm in Allentown. Jared is an extremely knowledgeable, patient instructor and does a great job of breaking down techniques. Can't recommend this place enough.

Fantastic experience: Great gym! I was just in town for work and contacted the gym to see if I could drop in for a no gi class. Jared’s instruction great. Simple and easy to follow. Explained not only what to do but why to do it. Trained with some guys after instruction and they were all good training partners. I’ll definitely be in next time I’m in town!

Fantastic experience: I was in Allentown a few days for work, so I sent them a message through their website asking about their policy for visitors. A few minutes later they replied simply "Come on by!" I went to the advanced no-gi class, and I'm glad I did. The guard passing techniques covered in the instruction portion of class were helpful and pretty easy to pick up. I don't train outside my home gym very often. Honestly, I still get a little nervous jumping in with a new group. But this was a nice facility with a great, relaxed atmosphere. I wasn't mobbed with questions or singled out. I rolled with 8 guys, all very skilled, and enjoyed the camaraderie and conversation on top of the challenge. I will definitely try to come back if I'm in the area again.

Fantastic experience: Zombie BJJ is a welcoming gym with a friendly, respectful, safe, and fun community of training partners and knowledgeable coaches. The diverse membership lends to the positive atmosphere, with a mix of ethnic backgrounds, body types and weight classes, fitness levels, training experience, goals, styles, and ages. It's also an excellent option for women, with an ever-growing pool of female training partners to work with and a once weekly women's only class led by a female coach. While their main focus is BJJ, they do offer some judo, wrestling, and boxing as well, with BJJ classes available daily. Overall, whether you plan to attend casually or become a serious competitor, Zombie is an excellent gym to enjoy the wide variety of benefits BJJ offers - a healthy mental and physical workout, increased confidence and self-esteem, fun, community, social time, and even competition. Signing up last spring was one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself. Hope to see you soon!

Fantastic experience: This place is sick! Great place to train for jiu-jitsu, my boyfriend comes here and LOVES the gym and the overall environment! The gym has a family vibe which makes training there even more fun because you leave with friends and some great training! There is kids classes, teen classes, and adult classes…so there’s DEFINITELY a class there for either yourself or something to get your kids involved! 100% recommend this place!!

Negative experience: Unfair billing practices. We agreed to a six month plan and they charged our card for the 7th month. After realizing it, we called but they were unwilling to issue a refund even though the child did not go to any classes and we called the next day the card was charged

Zombie is my home gym, and my favorite place to train. Fantastic experience: A great BJJ gym with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere with quality instruction. There are many instructors with a variety of different styles, all teaching effective techniques. The gym offers gi, no-gi, wrestling, judo, and boxing all at convenient times and offers classes every day of the week. They also host a kid's program for children of all levels and ages. Mats are cleaned after every class. After training here for 3.5 years I can confidently recommend this gym to anybody wanting to start BJJ or for those who already train and are looking for a new gym.

Fantastic experience: Ive been going to zombie for a bit over a year. I chose it at random when i decided to start bjj but i think i got very lucky. Zombie is rich in community, and since becoming an adult is very lonely, having such a welcoming gym is a blessing. I feel safe rolling here, no matter what size athlete im working with everyone is looking out for you. Also they do the other normal good stuff, like keep it clean, lots of class options for times and level, open mats, and community events. Plenty of women to roll with too. 10/10 would recommend

Fantastic experience: The instructors were very welcoming to my son and I.. Being complete beginners, I was a bit worried that it would be a bunch of tough guys chomping at the bit to twist us into human pretzels. But it was the exact opposite. Although I'm sure they could have snapped us into tiny pieces at will, everyone was very nice, and without ego.. stressing proper technique and training safely. Its great exercise, and a lot of fun. I'd recommend it to anyone as a means of learning practical self defense techniques or just getting in shape.

Fantastic experience: Zombie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is not only the best in the Lehigh Valley but is the best BJJ you will find anywhere. The owner/coach Jeremy Henderson is an extremely skilled BJJ practitioner and a world-class teacher. He takes his time and breaks down a very difficult martial art to learn and makes it not only easy but fun as well. All of the people who practice BJJ there are extremely friendly and welcoming. There is no intimidation for new comers and everyone helps you out. If you are worried about being out of shape don’t worry, there is no one that they cannot teach and get into shape. If you’re worried about your busy schedule don't. They have several classes every single day and you can come as many or as few classes as you have time for. Regardless everyone is treated equally well. I personally started going there to learn how to defend myself and to get into better shape. I was afraid i wouldn't have enough time and that i would be too old and out of shape to practice BJJ. I am still new to the art but i go about 3-4 times a week sometimes at night and sometimes in the morning. I am starting to get into better shape and am excited about where the bjj i am learning here. Also, while I don't have any children, they have a great children’s program where your child can learn the same world-class BJJ that the adults learn. The children's coach, Aroldo Rodas, is also a phenomenal coach. He is not only great with children but is a great teacher. Aroldo has not only won gold medals in competition, but his young students have also won gold as well. If you want your child to learn discipline, a lifelong martial art, stay active and in shape, as well as make some great friends then this is the place for them. If you don't believe me then stop by the coaches are there all day every day and they are always willing to answer any questions you may have.

Fantastic experience: World Class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu My jiu jitsu journey started a few years ago when I was working up near Boston MA. I was fortunate enough to train with team Kimura underneath professor Jean Kleber, a world class jiu jitsu teacher and native of Brazil. Since leaving I have visited numerous schools looking for what I had up there, truly authentic brazilian jiu jitsu. Zombie BJJ was the only place that felt like home to me. There is a tremendous sense of pride and camaraderie that flows throughout the school, radiating from head instructor Jeremy Henderson. I imagine this stems from his time spent training underneath world class native Brazilian Hobson Moura. It's difficult to fully explain, but there's just a well mixture of good vibes, excellent instruction and quality training partners. It has been amazing to see this school develop over the past year that I have been here. At first it was a small, humble and well run school. It has been steadily building into a well oiled machine that consistently challenges and teaches you every single class. It now is humming along perfectly providing a great jiu jitsu experience and also producing gold medal winning athletes. My advice to anyone out there considering jiu jitsu for the first time, or already trains and is new to the area, to come in for a class and see what it's like. What you'll see is high quality instruction, focused individuals and a lot of smiling faces.

Fantastic experience: A great BJJ school. I've trained at three other schools prior to moving to PA, this school is top notch. The instructors are fully committed and truly LIVE for Bjj, I'm talking LIVE, EAT, AND BREATH Jiu Jitsu 24 hours a day! Jeremy brings plenty of advanced moves and points out all the details that matter. He knows more advanced moves than I can learn in 10 years. And 10 years from now he'll know 20 more years worth of moves. The school hosts seminars regularly with the top names, and world champions coming through teaching aspects of their game. If you're a beginner who never touched the mat, if you're advanced, if you're in athletic shape, or totally out of shape and looking to change that, this school is for you. There is a great mix of students that compete regularly (and win of course) and students who don't, looking to learn the art, get some great exercise, and gain camaraderie. Come out and train with us!

Fantastic experience: I started at Zombie in April of 2021. The owner Jeremy was really friendly and supportive even though I was a brand new white belt. All the coaches are great at teaching and demonstrating the techniques. The other students are very helpful and create a safe atmosphere to learn. I would highly recommend at least trying a few classes. Bjj is addicting and has benefited my life in many ways.

Head coach / owner is a super nice guy! He made sure to introduce himself + roll and talk to me after even though I visited from out of town. Drop in fee was a little steep at $20 but I would recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I have a background in high school wrestling, and I started training bjj at Zombie about three weeks ago. I couldn’t have had a better first impression over that time. The coaches are spectacular, and truly understand not only the techniques that are being taught, but also how those techniques tie into the larger picture in a grappling/combative situation. The culture of the gym is also outstanding. There are students of varying backgrounds and skill levels with different over all goals, but everyone seems to be devoted to improving themselves and those around them. I feel comfortable asking for advice from any of the higher belts, who are always eager to help. In my first few weeks of training I didn’t have a gi because the company that I ordered from had delivery problems. An experienced student that I barley knew offered me his spare gi, until mine came in. I think this example aptly sums up the family-like culture that has been created at Zombie. I find myself spending a lot of time training because jiu jitsu truly is addictive. I would recommend this gym for anyone looking for a positive environment in which they can develop real skills.

The instructors are -amazingly skilled-, patient, easy to talk to, and their passion and knowledge just shines through! My very first class, I walked in, and everyone treated me as though I had been taking classes for years! I had to leave for personal reasons, but i absolutely guarantee you, that as soon as i can start classes again, I am, without a doubt, going back to this school.

With that being said professor Jeremy and Matt treat you like you belong to the gym. Fantastic experience: This place is fantastic. Great, very knowledgeable coaches. Excellent students. All who are willing to help out any newcomers. Young or old, it doesn't matter. You will feel welcomed. Whether you just want to have a place to go and learn casually, or if your goal is to be a high level competitor. Maybe you want to also learn how to wrestle, or little Judo and Sambo on top of the fantastic BJJ they teach. Doesn't matter. Someone their knows. It's great fun. Recommended for all.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming here for several months now and I have only positive things to say about. It's a great environment to learn in. The coaching staff have such an acumen for the style and truly do take the time to work with you on technique and so forth. The more experienced students always help you as well. Not only have I experienced it but I've seen it with newer students. Everyone is friendly and team orientated. I'm more than satisfied with my investment and, without a doubt, recommend Zombie as a gym.

Fantastic experience: Zombie bJJ is amazing. Lots classes and open mats for members on saterday and sunday. Thats 7 days a week to drill and roll. There are high level guys and normal everyday guys that come to zombie so theres always a training partner. the size of the place is huge lots of mat space. The Coaches are amazing guys, who are super passionate about BJJ. All the coaches take there time and explain in drill. The coaches work with everybody no favorites and roll with everybody. Zombie BJJ is the best.

Fantastic experience: Great experience at this gym. Everyone here is very welcoming, which you don't experience at many other gyms. The trainers here excell at encouraging their students and they provide the knowledge necessary to turn out skilled mixed martial artists. They invest in every single one of their students, making them feel motivated and creating a positive atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: I go to school down in Florida and every time I come to Allentown/Lehigh Valley I have to come train here! I've been doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 6 years and this is a top notch academy. The owner/instructor, Jeremy Henderson, is a Bjj encyclopedia and extremely awesome guy. All the other instructors are amazing and the students are welcoming and super tough! If you want world class Bjj come here!

Fantastic experience: Zombie BJJ is the real deal and an amazing school to train at. the instruction is incredible, the people are welcoming, and the schedule is great as there are classes every day. Ideal for both beginners and advanced skill levels, the challenge at Zombie is exactly what I was looking for to begin my BJJ journey. If you're looking for a BJJ school where the instructors give their 110% and truly love to train, than this is the place for you.

Fantastic experience: If you live around Allentown/Bethlehem, there's honestly no place with the same amount of quality technique and talented training partners. The coaches actually want you to learn the technique and see you do well if you want to compete. Had my fair share of asswhoopings here haha. The more experienced guys here are humble and never pick on new guys.

Fantastic experience: I trained for several years at a few other places and had to take a long break. I've been out of the game for about 5 years and had the itch to get back to training. I researched quite a bit and Zombie looked to have a depth of Instructors, and had great reviews. I contacted them to ask some questions, and they got back to me very quickly and answered all of my questions. I went in for a trial class and knew right away I had found a new home. The Instruction is on point and the atmosphere is great. They are one of the only BJJ schools around that have morning classes, which is something I need. I travel a lot for work, and sometimes for weeks at a time, and they are completely willing to work with me on my membership. I am fairly new to Zombie, but look forward to being there a long time!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Zombie BJJ for about a month now. I think it's a great place. The instructors are not only very knowledgable, but also good at teaching what they know. I like the fact that I can train mornings and nights, pretty much every day. I can't say enough good things about it.

Fantastic experience: I've trained in maybe half a dozen bjj schools over the years and zombie Jiu jitsu is one of the very best. The facilities are clean and spacious, the instruction is advanced and technical but the instructors excel at breaking it down for beginners. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed; those looking to ease into bjj will find a partner who will take them through the ropes without smashing them. But be warned: if you're looking to become a competitive fighter these guys will push you to excellence. I don't really know what else to say, go train there immediately! Now, now, now!

Fantastic experience: I love this gym, Coach Jeremy has taught me many things in jiu-jitsu and I would not want to be a part of any other family other than with the zombies. This gym is a place where you can train for multiple reasons such as self defense, to lose weight, stengthen the mind, progress in one of the most popular fighting styles in the world and to even learn what it feels like being part of a true team. Coach Jeremy is one of the best teachers to have and I believe everyone should try out his gym :)
