Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere, fantastic staff. Always helpful. They are constantly reinvesting into the gym, taking into account input from members. If machines go down, they are fixed nearly immediately. No other gym in the valley compares. Member since 2020.

Negative experience: Is anyone else’s billing all over the place???!!!! I keep getting charged way more. I feel every couple months they increase the monthly fee without even a warning, i use to pay just $40. About to cancel and join somewhere else. First off with how close the equipment is, it’s a walking injury. They just care about money at this point.

Positive experience: Great gym with many amazing machines, but they should make the sauna for top tier customers that wish to pay for it. It’s unfair that everyone gets charged for that service, even if you don’t use it. Especially, bc you can’t use it after hours, for obvious reasons. The gym gets way too packed during normal business hours. Besides the price increase, arguably the best gym in the valley.

Fantastic experience: One of the elite gyms in the Lehigh Valley When I joined, I signed a Code of Conduct along with my membership contract...and unlike most places, they actually enforce it. This location was once the beloved Gold's Gym Bethlehem, but Powerhouse has taken that legacy and made it their own. The facility is spotless, open 24/7, features Hummus Fit Foods, and even has a full supplement and pro shop right at the entrance. The front desk staff has always been great and attentive to members needs. Last thing, and this may be the most critical: At any point, if I have feedback or opportunity for improvement, the management team is all ears. That is RARE in any business, let alone within the fitness industry. Cheers to Powerhouse Gym Bethlehem, looking forward to continuing to grow with you

Positive experience: I've been really disappointed lately with the gym, especially after the recent price increase following the renovation. While they added a sauna and updated the light fixtures, the price jump doesn't feel justified. The new equipment is great—no complaints there—but I'm taking off two stars mainly because of the sauna. It’s only open during staffed hours, which is understandable, but the staff hours don’t start early enough. Supposedly the sauna is available from 7 AM, but in reality, it’s never on at 7—sometimes not even by 7:30. That means members like me, who go early in the morning or late at night to avoid the HUGE afternoon crowds, don’t even get to use the new amenity we’re now paying extra for. It just feels like I’m spending more money for something I can’t even use. Really disappointing.

Fantastic experience: New to the area and have been coming here for a few months now. Wow, what a gym. They have every kind of equipment you can think of and their staff is great (especially Luis). 10/10 recommend to anyone reading this review.

Negative experience: LEHIGH STUDENTS READ THIS... Great equipment, and I used to love the place. However, there's a terrible lack of transparency and competency when it comes to billing. I joined annually, then paused my membership while I was away due to being a student, without prior knowledge or being informed of a period in which it gets un-paused automatically. I was then taken off pause and rebilled for another year of an annual membership. I'd like to reiterate that I was never once told about the auto-stop-pause policy when I initially paused my membership. *Otherwise, I would have had time to reinstate my membership and get taken off of auto-renew and cancel my membership! It's that simple.* Shady billing behavior. This means I've been billed for essentially a year of gym use without ever stepping foot in the gym. In speaking with the people at Powerhouse about this, I've been deeply disappointed. Instead of working with me and keeping my business, they've been incredibly difficult. My phone calls with staff about this have been insanely confusing and shady despite how many times I explain what happened in great, great detail and specificity. Sad as a Bethlehem resident and Lehigh undergrad who loved using the place.

Negative experience: Coming from an experienced lifter and gym go-er. The machines and equipment are bad. Panatta, Hammer Strength, Arsenal Strength, Prime - they are over engineered and have wonky leverages. The machines are too congested. And most importantly, their cancellation policy is a scam when signed up for month-to-month. You must cancel 30 days before next billing cycle, so that means I would have had to sign up and cancel in the same day or else I would be paying $140 for two months. Beyond this, the managers show no sympathy. I’m glad though, Powerhouse is a terrible community, and it should stay that way so that they don’t infiltrate the other good local gyms.

I love it here, i really do, but ive been here for 3 years, and the price keeps getting raised more and more. It used to be 35.99, then 44.95 now its 49.99.

Fantastic experience: Lots of equipment. My first experience was on a day pass. I've been working 20 years, and this gym had so many different machines for the chest that I've never experienced before. Its easy to see why this gym is really popular. I signed up the next day! 7 months later. They continue to upgrade equipment. In my opinion this is the best for anyone a who wants to challenge themselves with their fitness goals.

Fantastic experience: I thought I was going to be intimidated walking into this gym but it was quite the opposite. Everyone is so friendly and will offer their assistance if you need it. Everyone there is also so encouraging; we all have the same goal! To be a better you. Luis their GM, is absolutely awesome. He maintains a clean gym with solid equipment. A lot of this equipment I’ve never seen before and I’ve gotten the best workouts I’ve ever had. He also makes sure all of his members and staff feel safe and comfortable. Really couldn’t ask for more! Highly recommend checking out this gym!

Positive experience: Powerhouse is to gyms what Shady Maples is too eateries. The veritable cornucopia of machines is staggering. Everyday I see a new machine, as if they're breeding in the after hours. Amongst this smorgasbord of iron, space is tight and I wished they'd annex the derelict Staples next door. My only real issue is the lack of a large open area for stretching/sleds and the outdoor scanner that pays out slightly more than a Sunoco slot machine. Awesome gym, constantly evolving and unlike my calf development, never seeming to plateau. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: I am a university student in the Bethlehem area who got serious into lifting a little over a year ago. Powerhouse gym has been a great lifting environment for me as I’ve progressed from a beginner to an intermediate lifter. I am only in the area during the academic year but the manager Luis helped me a lot through my membership discrepancies, shout out to him he’s very hospitable.

Fantastic experience: Great gym but, What are the slowest hour to go each day?

Negative experience: Worst gym experience. Very unprofessional receptionist. Seems like if you're new or doing a week pass they really could care less about any questions you have or accommodations like they would with the regular member. Staff really made me feel out of place including the manager/owner. Very standoffish.

Negative experience: Gym has a large variety of equipment and you don’t have to wait for anything. Reason for one star is due to after-hours access. The barcode scanner to get in is not very high-quality, and can take upwards of 5 mins before you can get it to read your tag. What is even worse is that after waiting for 5 mins to get it to work, if someone else happens to exit through the door at the same time, they aren’t allowed to hold it open per policy, so you then have to waste another 5 mins with the barcode reader trying to get in. Would suggest for the gym to use the other two doors that isn’t used next to the treadmills as an Exit door, and the other pair of doors as the Entrance door. For a gym that has a high monthly cost, would expect a more sophisticated way to get in after hours.

Negative experience: Roped me into a contract that was not fully understood by the seller.

Fantastic experience: Open 24 hours, friendly staff. Has equipment you wont find at any other gym in the lehigh valley. The best gym around hands down!!!

Negative experience: BEWARE if you workout here in the morning! For the last month they have a cleaning person here every morning from 6am-2pm spraying mirrors, garbage cans, counters, mopping floors in gym and restrooms, with toxic chemical cleaning products that are being breathed in when working out, leaving pools of cleaner on restroom floors that could cause slipping. While working out on treadmill, or machines they are vacuuming around patrons while they are working out! It is ridiculous! I called Muscle INC, and they said they only mop and clean after hours. Most businesses do not clean with toxic/ hazardous chemical with customers around. Will be going to another gym if this continues! Response from owner:Hello, Pam we appreciate the feedback and apologize that we clean too frequently and at undesirable times and places throughout the gym for you. I also would like to reassure we do not use toxic and or harmful chemicals for cleaning. A perk of membership is we are a 24/7 gym and that doesn’t allow for after hours cleaning as we don’t have any. We set up the cleaning schedule based on check ins and slowest times in the gym 8am-2pm daily this was implemented we opened. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience with the cleaning of our facilities. Thank you. NO -the slowest time is a gym is after 9pm! That's why most businesses have cleaning at night! And I read the Material Data sheets on the cleaning products you use, and they are toxic! Also they have fragrance! Fragrance is the new cigarette smoke.

Fantastic experience: I love love this gym. I joined this gym 9 months ago. At first I was intimidated because of all the equipment and didn’t think I could “fit in”. Justin the personal trainer manager set me up with one of the best trainers at the gym, Ryan. And it has been incredible, I have learned a lot. I am now confident with going there and using the equipments. Ryan is a god sent, I have surpassed the goals that I had set, with his help and expertise. The staff at Powerhouse are great, they help with whatever concerns I have. The gym being opened 24/7 works well with my busy schedule. Love it here!!!!

Members are friendly, welcoming and supportive towards one another, pushing each other to thrive towards achieving one’s fitness goals. I would say this, if you’re looking for a gym that has open doors to get your workout done without waiting for benches or broken maxhines, “Power house”, is definitely your go to gym!

Fantastic experience: Best Gym on the East cost. Pat did an amazing job starting this gym near the beginning of COVID and continues to improve. Shane does a great job at the front desk. Theres a physical therapy segment inside Run by Taylor Foster, who does an amazing job with manual therapy and is super knowledgeable. This is the best gym I’ve been to on the East cost. Very blessed to live near it. Check it out!!!

Fantastic experience: It’s starts at the head , from the owner to management and staff . This place is by far the best gym in the ABE area . Not only does it trump the comp with its state of the art equipment , but the atmosphere and the comraderie is what really makes it home for me !

Fantastic experience: I had a motorcycle accident in 2020, and then follow up surgeries in 2022. It took me over a year, to finally feel well enough, to go to powerhouse gym. And with the uncertainties involved from recovery, I decided to hire a trainer. I could’ve easily put some more mods on my jeep, but I decided these mods, were the much wiser choice. I can always get a new jeep, but there’s only one me. Justin, who heads up the Training department, assigned Ryan to be my trainer. In addition to being a competitive bodybuilder, Ryan has a masters degree in nutrition. I developed some bad eating habits during my recovery and carried them over, to the first month and a half of training. After discussing my diet with Ryan, he set me straight and I lost 10 of the 15 pounds, I set as my three month goal and still have two weeks left to reach it. In addition to Ryan’s expertise, he’s an awesome guy. This is some of the best money I’ve ever spent. I totally recommend, not only powerhouse gym, but hiring Ryan as a trainer. That’s not a knock on any of the other trainers, it’s just my experience.

Fantastic experience: I like powerhouse. Great equipment that I don't have wait for most of the time. The staff is nice. Very clean bathroom and gym overall. One thing I like most is there are serious people here wanting to just workout and inspire you to workout. The supplement store is amazing, meal prep makes things convenient(it's pricey,but what isn't these days). Great parking.

Fantastic experience: Joined this gym with my husband about 2 months ago and have loved it so far! It's a little pricier than some other gyms, but the staff is super friendly, helpful, and welcoming, there's a huge variety of equipment, and everything is clean and in great working order. I've been doing personal training once a week as well with Nevaeh, who does an awesome job! No complaints at all.

Fantastic experience: Started going to Powerhouse Gym 3 months ago. It is everything a gym should be. Courteous staff, friendly members, and a great selection of free weights and machines to choose from. It's a great experience to workout and not have people taking up equipment while on their phones. Overall it's been a great experience and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to get in shape and enjoys working out.
