Fantastic experience: It's now under a new management and the facility name has changed to Xcellence Fitness. I left a review in the current facility name. Highly recommend taking a boxing class here.

Negative experience: New owners. Higher price. Less quality of service. Such a shame

Negative experience: My friends and I were eager to try out “jym”, especially with its advertised 24/7 access and a 7-day trial for $15. After downloading the app and purchasing the trial passes in the parking lot, we attempted to enter the gym using the Bluetooth access feature. Unfortunately, despite multiple attempts, our access was repeatedly declined without any explanation. Adding to our frustration, a prominent poster at the gym’s entrance advertised the same 7-day trial with 24/7 access, which we were unable to utilize. This experience was highly disappointing, and we hope the management addresses these access issues promptly to prevent others from facing similar inconveniences.

Negative experience: Horrible owner very disrespectful and very egotistical. Look at all the reviews before getting a membership here. The rest of the staff are cool but the owner with dreads or Wtv he’s a real pain don’t bother coming here

Negative experience: On 1/30/2025 me and two other of my friends wanted to train at the jym. First of all there free trial is not actually free it’s 15 dollars.

Negative experience: This is more of a boxing gym, it's definitely NOT a weightlifting gym. Treat it like a planet fitness because the owner does not like bumper plates being dropped onto the platform which is exactly what it was meant for. After doing 2 sets of clean and jerks at 50kg I was kicked out. Mind you this is light weight, with bumper plates, and on a platform.

Negative experience: A high quality gym experience RUINED by poor management, shady business practices, outdated equipment, and a terrible app experience. My friend paid for a day pass because this was the only gym nearby opened late at night. Despite the transaction being completed immediately, the GymMaster app wouldn't let him into the facility. I let him in because I knew he paid, but I was charged the $25 tailgating fee - which makes complete sense to me. What doesn't make sense to me is the owner's reasoning. It turns out, my friends account was disabled, but that didn't stop them from taking my friend's money. What's worse is that they were only told their account was disabled the next day AFTER payment. I thought there was an error in the system, and since my friend paid and showed me a receipt, I let him in. I talked to the owner and he said it was my fault and that I should have called him at 11pm to resolve the issue, but that's my fault for not wanting to call a business man at 11pm. There was no signage about late night calls. If you love paying for services and not getting access to them, this is the gym for you! I really wanted to support this business, but I can go to bigger, better, cheaper facilities that will treat me with more respect literally anywhere else.

Negative experience: I’ve previously had a good experience with classes and was excited to come back using class pass but the experience using the app Gym Master is horrible. I work out in the mornings so to show up at 5:30 am and be told my class pass reservation won’t be honored because a 3rd party app isn’t working is a horrible experience. I’ve done class passes all over Dallas and this is the only place that has given me this issue. After the 3rd time I’m cutting my losses and will go to another establishment.

Fantastic experience: I have just started back after a two year break. Jorge is fantastic to work with and all the people in the 5:45 am class are super helpful. It is a safe friendly environment.

Negative experience: I wound’ve given 5 stars, but the men’s bathroom is disgusting and never has soap.

Fantastic experience: My son and I where in town on a trip and needed a gym for one day. Hotel gyms are always lacking and the one we stayed at on this trips gym was closed. I searched the area and although closed the manager answered my call and was very helpful. Set us up with a day pass and we went. Equipment was in good shape and had some things my home gym lacks. With the classes they have and equipment I would definitely join if I lived here. Thanks again to the management.

Positive experience: Didn't use the gym here ,but I had a massage from a masseuse. Massage was great and deep tissue. Very professional.

Fantastic experience: Found a great deal on Groupon and started going with a few of my cousins on a weekly basis for their boxing classes. We’ve been going there consistently for ~6 months now. The facility is always clean and everyone who works there is super personable. There’s also a great community of people who attend regularly so it’s been nice getting to know everyone. We typically take our boxing classes with Moe who is absolutely fantastic! Corrects your boxing form and even gives pointers for the workout portion of the class too. I would highly recommend anyone who’s new to boxing to give The Jym a try.

Fantastic experience: If I could give more stars, I would. I have absolutely fallen in love with the Jym It has become my safe place. I’ve been to other gyms and felt a little uncomfortable, and even judged but here I am able to be myself. Moe is the best Trainer I could’ve ever asked for he is professional patient and kind really works with you on setting goals and reaching them. I highly recommend the Jym.

Fantastic experience: Edit to my previous review. After my review the gym owner reached out directly and resolved the miscommunication concerning the billing issue. During my childs time at the gym the lead training Mo went out of his way to work with him and make him feel comfortable and supported at the gym.

Fantastic experience: I've been working out with Jerome off and on for five years. I got serious about being "in shape" 12 months ago and re-engaged with Jerome at The Jym. Jerome is a fantastic trainer. Best I have ever worked with. He tailors each individual's training sessions to their specific needs and he pushes each of his customers to the limit. The Jym is a very clean and well-maintained facility. Jerome keeps the place looking good and conducive to healthy workouts. I highly recommend The Jym.

Fantastic experience: As a professional boxer, I frequent Dallas for workouts in the warm weather. I recently came to The Jym for the first time. The trainers actually knew about boxing and fitness unlike most local "boxing fitness" places. It's not the largest gym but it has all of the essentials and they make every square foot count. They also have a boxing ring. The bathroom might have been the cleanest gym bathroom I've ever been in. Jerome, Nate and Tony are great guys and trainers. I will be training at The Jym anytime I am in Dallas.

Fantastic experience: You need to visit The JYM. After a negative experience at another boxing gym, I was referred to THE JYM by a former trainer that I trusted (who is also a boxer). Unlike other 'boxing gyms,' The JYM blends fitness with real boxing. There are no flashy lights or fancy gym outfits here. Show up ready to work, but you have to show up!!! This place will change you!

Fantastic experience: Love Anytime Fitness! The owners are very nice and sweet. They usually greet my husband and I when we walk in. It doesn't get too crowded like other gyms we've tried. It's open 24 hours 7 days a week. Equipment is clean and new. They have classes too!

Fantastic experience: I'veen exercising here for the last months, in general it's an amazing place for work out. I didn't take any class but personally I like the space and there's not too much people using same machines at same time. It's a nice, clean, quiet place so I totally gonna stay here for long as I can! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Yall, this is probably the best boxing gym I could have ever joined (especially for its extremely affordable price). I canceled my membership only because I had to move, but if I were still in the area, I would definitely still have it. Moe (one of the boxing coaches) is amazing. He takes the time to do one-on-one with each person in the class multiple times. This allows you to focus on technique and ultimately improve your future workouts. You can join at any skills level and he will spend the appropriate amount of time to teach you the basics and teach you how to improve along the way. Besides the intense workout classes, The Jym is 24/7...you cannot beat that because you can go use their FULL gym equipment whenever you're available. If you want to devote more time to fighting, they host a sparring club. It is seriously the best gym I have ever joined, way better than any corporate chains. Since I moved, I have been trying to find a boxing gym that would even be comparable and there are none (in all seriousness). I would consider The Jym as the gold standard...sooo run, don't walk, and join asap.

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome! Everything you need to get a great workout, fun group classes available. Boxing training, boxing ring. There’s a shower on site, cold water and towels. Really great vibe and Moe is an awesome trainer. Can’t beat the price for all that you get at this gym.

Fantastic experience: This is now my main gym for the most part, i tend to train at maple avenue as well but their hours are limited and its a bit of a drive, the Jym is open 24/7 .. i work a late schedule so to have the ability to continue my boxing training on my off hours without drastically changing things is honestly a blessing, they have a great selection of punching bags to choose from and there's always one available when i show up and the best part is they are all not leveled the same, which allows me to drill certain combo's if i want to focus on the body or head shots, something not many places take into consideration, the weight lifting section is right off to the side in the same building on the same floor, i don't really use it but it all looks in good condition, its all around good quality equipment for the price you are paying imo, there's even a full sized boxing ring for sparring and a speed bag, there's no funny stuff when signing up, owner was very straight forward and cool with me, no hidden fee's or contracts, you get a key fob given to you.. and when its time to put in the work you just show up and do your thing uninterrupted at any hour of the day.. just the way i like it, i'm happy with my decision to have stopped by and signed up.. totally recommend them.. the only thing i would recommend for them is to get an actual double end bag installed.. but honestly i'm just getting greedy here lol ..

Positive experience: Great Energy, good vibe! First impression was great! I came in on the tail end of a class Jerome led... It seemed like participants benefited greatly from the session (Energy) I had an individual intake session with my trainer which was customized to help me with my specific needs. It was upbeat, challenging and motivating. A pregnant woman (who was in great shape) was having a regular individual session at the same time and one thing became clearly obvious to me. If I was committed, The Jym would be dedicated to helping me achieve optimal condition... This program will not work for me at present because I need childcare for my two younger kiddos while working out. However, I do recommend these experts... Especially if you are looking for a no nonsense and a good vibe at a place where you can achieve and maintain optimal conditioning!

Fantastic experience: If you want a serious workout this is your place!! The entire hour is challenging but fun and you're with a small group of like-minded people who are focused. Love this place and pray I find some place just like it when I move back to MO.

Fantastic experience: I started the Jym over a year ago, but had to stop because of my work schedule. I've been back for over a month now, the improvements and staff especially are amazing and welcoming. The class is very organized and the exercises are unique. The instructor/coach really pushes you to do your best and works with everyone on individual improvements. More than anything, I joined to stay in shape and improve my health, without overwhelming myself with difficult workouts that would leave me fatigued or demotivated. Not only did I find what I hoped for, but I also received so much positive feedback, met great people, and truly see results after each and every class physically and mentally. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Went to this place because its close to my work and everytime i went in there it was dirty and smelly. i went in there for the cheap training by jerome but after a while found out that he didnt know what he was doing so i cancelled my membership and they kept on charging my credit card. called them many times and they were just ignoring me and telling me a manager is not on duty. well what kind of a gym has no manager at all times there. i will never go back to that place or even close to that smelly hole in the wall. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS.
