Fantastic experience: I love this gym. The gym has a lot of equipment. The gym has two different kinds of weight machines as well as free weights. The gym has several cardio machines, including stair masters, rowers, bikes, and treadmills. The staff is friendly and helpful. Shout out to Mike, Brian, Steve, and Daniel. Finally, the price is extremely affordable. This is the best gym I have ever belonged to. Come check it out! Let me tell you about my trainer, Daniel Martinez. I was working out on my own with instructions from an online trainer. Daniel asked if I was getting the results I wanted. I spoke to him and started working out with him twice a week. Now I work out with him five times a week for half an hour each session lifting weights. My weight is down 26 pounds. My skeletal muscle mass has increased. I can lift more and my body seems more toned. Daniel keeps the work outs interesting. He is always changing the exercises and incorporating new moves. I also use some of his herbalife products. I have seen great results with him. Give him a call!

Fantastic experience: I have to say this gym really makes me feel comfortable and accepted. I always thought gyms were terrifying or judgmental, but this inclusive environment is top notch. This gym has 24/7 access, lots of gym equipment, security cameras, keyless front door access, and private bathroom with showers. The front desk and trainers are super friendly and helpful. Open Gym has been a real good experience for me and I’ve only been coming here for four months, I plan to stay here. Also, as far as other people, they are very respectful and mindful!

Fantastic experience: My Husband and I joined The Open Gym around seven months ago. We were made aware of the OG gym through their sister company The Elite Physique in Rio Rancho. Although we spend most of our mornings at Elite we periodically visit the OG in the late mornings to early afternoons. Every time we have come the personality of all staff including trainers and cleaning personnel have been nothing but exceptional. This is vital to how overall feel of this gym. I feel that every time we have been here the gym has been cleaned and we are welcomed. It is a small gym but great for all ages and levels of exercise. I have seen people who are bearly starting their fitness journey to people who are exceptionally fit people of all ages. You definitely will not feel overwhelmed or intimidated. We have been overall happy with our experience here. We left Defined and although they claim they are the "best in the city" I would state otherwise especially when it comes to Defined's snobby staff. Yes the equipment is great but they are not the "best gym". I would give that title to both Elite and OG. Thank you for helping us keep up with our fitness goals without all the intimidation.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined this gym and I’m grateful to have found it! Daniel was incredibly helpful during the membership process. He took the time to show us around, explain the equipment, and answer all of our questions. His professionalism and friendliness made the experience even better. One of the best things about this gym is that it’s open 24 hours, which makes it super convenient. I also feel completely safe going at any time of day or night, which is rare for Albuquerque and something I really appreciate as a female. The equipment is clean, well-maintained, and offers a great variety for different workouts. If you’re looking for a welcoming, well-equipped, and motivating place to work out, I highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this gym! Huge plus that they offer kangen water as that’s what I usually drink. Well worth it to pay the $20 for 24 hour access with the insurance discount. My other gym closes early on the weekends and I’m a night owl so 24 hour access is a blessing! Friendly staff and lots of great equipment. Love the aesthetic of the all black room too!

Positive experience: They accept presbyterian insurance but you can only go between 8am and 5pm unless you pay an extra $20 a monthly directly to them. This is very disappointing because most people work 8 to 5 I work 8 to 6 so I can't even go during the times they offer I was hoping to come here since it's right next to my new home. I gave 3 stars because they don't just offer more hours for presbyterian members and because I had been calling for weeks with no answer or response so I had the wife go down and ask in person. Maybe one day they will honor presbyterian fully like other local gyms and we can give them a try. Please consider changing this policy.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been members of the Open Gym since 2016. To say that it is our home away from home, would be an understatement. We have made so many friends over the years and are truly grateful for the community this place has provided. Since Anita and Ken took over last year, things have only improved. They've really shown that they care about the gym and it's members. The new side with brand new equipment has been a game changer. I feel like our gym is finally complete with everything we could possibly need. Not to mention the amazing trainers the gym has, including Brian, Steve, Mike, and Marek. If you want a community of people that support and care for you, with the best gym equipment, this is the place!

Fantastic experience: Staff is super friendly and always asking for feedback to improve the gym. They have free weights, machines, a dance/yoga studio area, and lots of other equipment! Battle ropes, boxes for jumping, etc. The place is well-kept and has lockers, bathrooms, and I think showers. Incredibly good value for your money and we luuuuv shopping local.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I went in just to check the place out and see what it was like...Maybe catch a workout and sign up if we liked it. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed like friends. The entire environment is calming and zen, I felt motivated by the staff and people there without being overwhelmed. Its one of the cleanest gyms ive been to as well. The trainers are extremely helpful u can tell, and we cant wait to join. This is definitely a place we can see ourselves at for a long time. They are also expanding which is great. I really hope they will be adding a sauna/steam room with the expansion, then I'll be a lifetime member lol.

Positive experience: Pretty overall good gym, there's at least 1 machine for every essential muscle and a decent variety of cardio, free weights and yoga equipment. Also has a pretty good radio as well, tuned into 103.3 I'm pretty sure. P.S. doing leg day is hard, there is an anomaly that is disrupted when it is leg day :(

Fantastic experience: I gotta' check this place out. I'm rating it high because it sounds good though I've never been. My main concerns are over-crowding, is the cardio-equipment pro( not purchased at Wal Mart ), and are there enough lifting options to work your whole body? We'll see.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been members at this gym for 8 months now. We are very happy with it And the employees. We never have to wait for equipment especially the elliptical and treadmill. The fees are extremely reasonable. The trainers are excellent. The classes are great. The gym itself is very clean and orderly. In short we will continue going until we leave the area.

Fantastic experience: Free test drive was excellent. It was clean and equipment was in top notch condition. I've only tried 2 gyms in the area and this one has the most state of the art equipment yet. I've never seen TVs on each treadmill or elliptical at any other gym which made the workout pleasant. I also liked the website because of the fitness trackers and detailed workout information with a personal login. I wonder if the personal trainers would use this information to tailor exercise programs? They only give one free day but really...I only needed one day to fall for this gym. I of course have to try all the gyms in the area before I make my decision but this is by far my favorite.

Negative experience: Pictures online show more equipment. Gym is very small. Hardly any free weights. Machines they do have are not good equipment. Rude, disrespectful people. Not friendly at at all.

Positive experience: Yes I’ve been coming there a couple weeks. I do like to gym and there are no crowds. My only gripe is that weights don’t match, Tape is used to repair handles on machines instead of replacing them all together. A little upkeep and some . And both weights and machines could be perfect. On the upside 24 access is nice and it is a Gym that breaks it down to basics which is nice. No crazy corporate atmosphere. But as I said the maintaining does need some work.

Fantastic experience: Feels good to be back, after my knee injury a few months ago I didn't think I would train for about a year, thankfully I am easing my way back into the fitness life, and this gym is a great place to get back to doing what I love both as a career and hobby.

Fantastic experience: I should have actually written a review, instead of just the 5-stars. This is an amazing gym. I like the 24/7 access to the equipment and the low numbers of gym goers at night. The equipment is varied enough to give your body a good workout. There are classes offered, but I can't comment on them, since I never went. I had to stop my membership due to financial reasons, but have been waiting to sign back up again.

Fantastic experience: I've never joined a gym before, but the staff and other members are very friendly. The personal trainers and knowledgeable and have great workouts! There are three bathrooms with showers, one of which is gender neutral. The towel service is very convient as are the lockets. I really enjoy the hip hop cardio class! Fantastic local business!

Fantastic experience: This gym is awesome it's smaller than the one I went to before but the staff is friendly at all hours of the day. They have traditional weights and cardio but what sets this gym apart I'd they have boxing equipment! It's a lot of fun to use!

Fantastic experience: The Open Gym has a fun and friendly vibe, as well as a fantastic variety of equipment. I feel like I have everything I need for whatever type of workout I want to do, including equipment I've found to be lacking at some other places (e.g., ropes, foam rollers). The classes are fun and I enjoy using the electronic massage table. I met with Brian recently and he's a great trainer! All of the staff members are kind and helpful. Of all the gyms I've belonged to over the years, The Open Gym is my favorite!

Fantastic experience: Duncan helped me get started and he’s real inviting. I’m from out of town and I was looking for a spot to work out. It’s low key. Even has a room full of punching bags. The lifting equipment is a little limited compared to golds or 24 hour fitness but honestly, it has all the essentials. Would definitely come back!

Face towels, lockers, and a shower is available. Open 24 hours with an active membership. They offer a room with plenty of boxing equipment as well.
