G3 Sports & Fitness: Opinions
Negative experience: I never give negative reviews, but their lack of concern for cleanliness is an actual public health risk and deserves to be called out. There's no system here for equipment to be cleaned between users. They have bins of tiny washcloths and spray bottles full of...something? They simply don't work to disinfect, and even if they did, no one uses them. There's no signage like "please wipe down equipment after use" like in every other gym. I've seen staff training clients in the weight room, and not wiping down equipment. Members sweat on equipment and walk away. Gross!! I politely brought this issue to staff twice, hoping they'd at least put up signs, but they couldn't care less. I was told "it's kind of implied at a gym." People apparently aren't getting the hint, including staff. The spa is also filthy, grime on the walls, and the steam room reeks of mildew. If you work out here you might want to thoroughly disinfect equipment yourself if you want to avoid staph infections, fungal infections and mrsa, because the staff don't care about proper health and safety practices.
Thank you for your feedback. We take all concerns seriously and would like to provide some clarification.
Our facilities and equipment are cleaned daily by our dedicated staff, and we use Peroxide Multi-Surface Cleaner and Disinfectant, as labeled on every bottle in accordance with state health and safety guidelines. In addition to staff cleaning, we provide readily accessible towels and disinfectant spray throughout the facility for members and guests to use.
While we encourage all users to clean equipment after use, this responsibility ultimately falls on the individual. Unfortunately, not everyone chooses to follow this courtesy—even though it is standard gym etiquette across the industry. This is not a reflection of indifference from our staff, but rather the reality of operating a large facility with hundreds of guests passing through weekly.
We recognize that cleanliness standards can be subjective—what one member finds unacceptable, another may consider reasonable. That said, our staff are on a regular cleaning schedule throughout the day, though they are not expected to disinfect equipment after every single use.
Regarding your membership, we have processed your cancellation request and issued a full refund for the month of July. While we’re sorry to hear our facility did not meet your expectations, we agree that parting ways is the best course of action. We appreciate your feedback and wish you the best in your future fitness journey.
Negative experience: Love this place but the bathrooms, showers, and steam sauna need a deep clean. This has been an ongoing problem. Potentially hiring an outside service to come in and do a deep clean would help.
Negative experience: Apparently they don’t accept coins You know who you is
Positive experience: Always a busy place but usually has room on the court for a kid to shoot hoops
Fantastic experience: Jolly Good
Positive experience: Whats up with the hours? Would be interested in signing up otherwise.
We understand that our hours may not work for everyone. We are locally owned an operated, and have found that these hours work the best for our members while not wasting hours on unoccupied time. There are many 24 hour options around the area and we hope you find what you need.
Negative experience: Closed Sundays wound have been nice if they posted this just drove 40min to come here not cool y'all.
Hi Phavo, sorry for the unfortunate situation. We had messaged our email list and posted on our Facebook earlier today regarding a power outage that hit our area around 11am. Due to no power for multiple hour we had to close for the day. But we will be open for normally schedule hours tomorrow, Sunday the 18th. Again, we apologize for the waisted commute

Positive experience: Huge center! I came here to watch my cousin play volleyball in a tournament and it was a pretty good experience! The one downfall was the lack of parking. There were so many people there including parents, coaches and players, but there was so little parking for everyone to be able to fit. We got lucky because someone was pulling out of a spot while we were doing our 4th or 5th loop around looking for a spot.
Fantastic experience: Great for getting better at basketball.
Fantastic experience: Great place for pickleball.
Positive experience: I would of given a 5 if they could of dropped the net between the courts
Fantastic experience: Could not ask for more in a gym. G3 has everything. The staff is phenomenal and they keep all their facilities in awesome shape. Always clean and organized. There is a great energy and atmosphere, and it’s so big and diverse that I’ve never had to wait in line for equipment or felt crowded. To me, this is the perfect gym and I hope I can stay here forever.
Fantastic experience: This is the best gym on this earth. The staff is an amazing group of people. If you are nice to them, they will take you in and treat you like family. The weight room is perfect for people who are looking to do any type of barbell or Olympic lifting. Basketball open gyms are hype on Monday and Wednesdays. Overall this facility just makes me feel at home.
Positive experience: I just dropped in for a day pass to check it out. It has everything I need and more. Tho the floor plan is a bit wonky with cardio/strength machines on one end of the building, and free weights on the other. The sauna, steam room, and hot tub are epic. No locker rooms just big bathrooms and day lockers. Still considering a full membership, but the fact that it doesn’t open till 8 am on weekdays and 10am on weekends is a big deal to me since I work full days
Fantastic experience: We love this place. Staff is always good to us too! Great place to reserve if practice or a game gets canceled. We can work on getting kinks out and run drills. Awesome private practice experience upstairs, and she always feels comfortable here. I'm so glad G3 has this Softball and Baseball facility upstairs. It has really helped her development over the years. One of the best indoor facilities in the Mid-Valley for working on your throwing. Update: 1/2hr ball drills+1/2hr throwdowns= Steal at your own risk!
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff.Great sports fans.loved spending my Saturday here watching G3 volleyball girls take 1st in tournament.
Positive experience: This was my first time at G3. I got there about 3 pm on a Monday. The young man at the door could not have been more nice. He got a 5 star rating from me. He showed me around and I was impress. There were very few people working out which was great. Everything was clean and at my ready for use. Then went down to ground level and dry sauna for well over a hour. It was clean and HOT....the way I love it. Maybe four others were in and out. Even the shower was clean and LOTS of HOT WATER. The only reason for not rating it a 5 stars was I was not given a pass for the access pads that let a person move through different doors. Even there the young lady at the front desk swapped me for me car keys her pass. I will be back.
Fantastic experience: Love this gym! Very friendly and helpful staff and facility has a lot to offer.
Fantastic experience: Member of this gym almost since it opened. Great for pickleball, basketball, volleyball. Weights, resistance machines and aerobic equipment are good.
Fantastic experience: Excellent space for youth sports. With all the schools disallowing youth sports we have been grateful that G3 is close to our community and open for business.
Positive experience: I've done a lot of research on the local gyms here in Corvallis. I've attended several gyms in my life and even worked at one. I've now been going to G3 for several months and thought I'd share my experience. Here are the pros of G3: -Compared to other gyms, the membership rate is decent. -There are more group exercise classes than other gyms. -There are a few more evening classes than other gyms, which allows for those who have a job to attend. -The spa is really nice! -The staff is very friendly! Here are the cons of G3: -The weight room has very little variety and is surprisingly small for such a large facility. -The weights are outdated and do not offer a lot of adjustments to suit individual needs. -Weight room feels like a quiet library. It needs music or something so we don't feel like we need to whisper. -The sign in process is very odd. Instead of just scanning a card like every other gym I've attended, you yell out your name to the staff member behind the counter and then use a bulky card to get into the areas you want. For such a large facility I would think they'd have a normal system of just checking in with a bar-code? I've had little key-chain bar-codes and phone-app bar-codes. G3 should get one of those. -My least favorite part, no one attends the classes. For another unknown reason, G3 has really poor class attendance. A few times I've been the sole participant! It's not for lack of good instructors, it really feels like an advertising problem? Like why are there not special deals to get people interested in classes? Or promotions letting us know about cool, new classes etc. Or why don't the instructors have better speakers? Or why does it cost so much extra to be able to attend the classes?? I love attending classes and have been unpleasantly surprised to find few fellow participants. -Needs more evening classes. Though there are more evening classes than other local gyms, there are still not many. None of them hit that golden 7pm hour and I have no idea why. Those with jobs would dig a 7pm class. Over all I do like G3, I'm glad to attend however, it just has an air of being a has-been. It is a big grand facility that boasts of outdated equipment and poor attendance. I'd love to see some vitality and new life breathed into it!
Fantastic experience: This gym is very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Fantastic experience: A large, immaculately clean workout facility with all that you need, including a professional and friendly staff. Oh, and a coffee bar. Monthly fees are on par with the rest of the local gyms, (about $30/monthly for basic). New member deals might be a nice incentive for management to consider. Or rewards for Yelp reviews. Just sayin. Individual TVs for each piece of equipment and all equipment are clean and in good working order. I’ve found that mid-afternoon (2:30p - 4:00p) is a great time to workout without much fanfare. Other gym members that I’ve encountered are respectful and considerate...except for two guys that run on the treadmill while insisting on simultaneously having a conversation they barely have breath for...you know who you are. Very pleased with my membership here and the way I’ve never felt out of place or unwelcome. You’ll be happy too. Except when those two guys are yell-talking on the treadmill about their buddy Jim from marketing with the new jet skis. But indigees
Fantastic experience: G3 sports and fitness has really made the north end of Corvallis better. Their great facilities have helped my family and I stay in shape and the staff are outstanding and will learn your name and greet you on entry. Inside, you will find a New Morning north cafe which serves fresh food with vegan and vegetarian options. There’s also great coffee. The gym itself is new and well maintained. We love our membership and go here very frequently. G3 sports and fitness is very kid friendly unlike most other gyms and it has a lot of fun things you can do. There’s basketball, volleyball, pickle ball, soccer fields, a nice batting cage, and an array of HD tv’a for watching a game or even some spongebob with the kids. This place is a great place to spend time getting in shape and it really makes north Corvallis a better place! <3
Negative experience: We went for a volleyball tournament. Nice facility but zero seating for spectators. Staff made up of mostly early 20s kids don’t have customer service skills. Parking is extremely limited with nothing else close by
Hi Brian, I am sorry you did not feel your needs were met. Information concerning seating and parking is provided to all players for events held here. We are not a facility designed for spectator sports, but have the privileged of hosting small tournaments and scrimmages like the one you attended this weekend. Just as with most other volleyball events hosted in our region, spectators often need to bring their own seating. An advantage we have is above average size sidelines to accommodate parents and friends who attend. A map was provided to all players explaining parking and giving some options for overflow. Our staff who worked this past weekend ranged from 21 years to 50 years of age, they will be pleased to hear how young you feel they appear! All the feedback those staff have provided post scrimmage was on how great the spectators, players, and coaches were, as well as how much fun they had serving you all. We love having the opportunity to invite some of our favorite clubs to join us in this beginning of the season scrimmage, as it provides coaches the opportunity to dial in their team for the season. Hopefully if you visit again your experience will be more positive. If we can answer any questions for you in the future please don't hesitate to call.
Fantastic experience: Love this place! Its New, Clean, and crazy affordable! Best deal in town, by far. Basketball pick up games have a good crowd and midday workouts are perfect if you like having an entire gym to yourself. If G3 was on Tinder, I would definitely swipe right ;) keep doing what you're doing
Fantastic experience: G3 Sports and Fitness is the friendliest gyms I have ever been a part of. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, professional and fun to be around. If you have a family and are looking for a gym this is place, great gym space(2 basketball courts, volleyball courts, batting cage), hot tubs, fitness classes and a cafe to get something to eat as well. Family friendly place. They even have a fun coordinator for kids events(Tayte).
Negative experience: I don't recommend a full-time membership. I give one star because the facilities are nice, if not cold at times (which I don't always mind because I sweat). G3's customer service is lacking and when dealing with issues is very poor (rude and presumptuous). Employees need training on how to deal with presenting issues and dealing with them in a professional manner. Even more important, resolving matters should also be done professionally rather than forgotten or dismissed. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect a genuine attempt at professionalism and delegation rather than accusation and pride.
Fantastic experience: Great place to play basketball! Open gym on MWF in the evenings. Time works perfect for my schedule. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Highly recommend checking this place out. Can even pay per visit.
Fantastic experience: Awesome facility with a very friendly staff. Perfect place to get shots up (basketball) along with a clean workout area. Highly recommend a visit here.
Fantastic experience: the staff here at G3 fitness was great . drop ins are easy and welcomed. the facility is first class large gym , coed hot tub and sauna with showers. the gym could have a little better set up but owner ship is commited to this gym and it will be worked out. i live in lincoln city oregon and when i am in corvallis oregon and need a work out and some recovery therapy G3 fitness is were i will be..... Also for all the parents out there , there is day care so no excuses
Fantastic experience: great facility! has a very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and not out of my way. definetly will be returning in the future!!
Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend checking out this gym. I am new to the area and was looking for a gym to drop into and found G3. I have used the weight room and sauna/steamroom/hot tub area. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I found the weight room to be will equipped and most importantly, clean. They have a good selection of cardio machines as well. I have not used the hardwood gym area but it seems they always have a class or someone playing a net sport. The monthly rates seem very reasonable for how much stuff is going on.
Fantastic experience: I've been going to G3 for 3 years now and I've been to several classes, HIIT and Crossfit are fantastic, I love the team members and their friendliness and the family feel. It's a great place to be.
Hi Brenda, our staff here G3 Sports & Fitness just wanted to say thank you for the feedback on your experience while coming to classes and Crossfit. It is always a great encouragement hearing how those walking through our doors enjoyed their time while being here participating in what G3 has to offer. Thanks again Brenda, we look forward to seeing you soon.
Fantastic experience: Love the open gyms. Come here as much as I can. Great people that work here too.
Fantastic experience: I love this gym. Open gyms are fun. Great employees.
Fantastic experience: The most friendly and inviting staff I've encountered in years! Warm and welcoming environment, and super relaxing spa. Would highly recommend to anyone.
