Harward Recreation Center

Experiencia fantástica: We love going to the Harward Recreation Center. We renew memberships their every year. We enjoy walking the indoor and outdoor tracks. The weight room has a nice variety of free weights and machines and trainers are on hand to assist in knowing how to use the proper equipment to achieve your desired result. Pickle ball courts are busy every day and a nice variety of group classes are available including the use of four swimming pools, a sauna, steam room and hot tub. A nice well rounded facility.

Experiencia positiva: We have mixed feelings. The facility is clean with a nice variety of equipment that is nicely maintained. Something that really bothers us, though, is the quantity of unsupervised kids running around the facility. It's irritating to not be able to use a machine because an 8 year old is playing with it, or to have groups of children screaming and running around the track. I say this as a parent. It would be nice if certain areas of the facility were designated "family friendly" at certain times. It's also next to impossible to get swimming lessons here. To register, I was told that because of their limited capacity I should be on my computer at 8 am on the Monday they opened registration. Not practical for working parents. Maybe a lottery system should be considered for swim lessons instead?

Experiencia fantástica: For $9 per adult you get access to 4 pools, a hot tub, a steam room, a sauna, gym, racquetball, a track and possibly some other things I might have missed. Definitely going to visit again :)

Experiencia fantástica: I love that it's never overly crowded with the swimming pools. The water temp is always set to the right settings for each pool. I've been coming since the Rec Center first opened and I love all the different equipment plus there's classes for everything you can imagine to do. Rhonda Heaven

Experiencia positiva: Great facility. My family came here to swim, and it was a great place for young ones. The facility was very clean and the life guards were all at least fairly personable. We all had a blast. It did get crowded at 5:30PM when swim lessons started on a Wednesday in June, so at that point we were satisfied with our time spent and headed home. Today was our first time there, and we initially had paid for a day pass for my wife, son, and I. Upon chatting with the individuals at the front desk, we learned about a monthly family membership. The manager was extremely accommodating and reversed our initial payment, allowing us to set up a monthly membership! We were very impressed at this accommodation. I did feel somewhat disillusioned, however, when I went to pay for the monthly membership and found out right before payment that there would be a $40 "membership activation fee" in addition to the monthly family membership (which is not under contract and can be canceled at any point!) charge.
