BC Kickboxing & BJJ

Experiencia fantástica: It's really hard to overstate how much my family and I have enjoyed training at BC Kickboxing & BJJ, and the positive impact it has had on all of us. My five-year-old son is in the Little Samurais program since last fall, my wife attends the fitness kickboxing classes religiously, and I have been doing the adult BJJ classes since early January. It's not an exaggeration to say that the gym has become a second home - and our teammates a second family - to all of us. Professor Ben runs great programs from top to bottom, front to back, and his team of coaches is fantastic. The kids' classes are disciplined, but a lot of fun. The adult BJJ classes are both intense and laid-back at the same time, and I'm having a blast while getting in better shape and learning a new, extremely rewarding sport (and I'll admit that BJJ is quickly becoming an obsession). Most important for me is the absolutely stellar team atmosphere that Professor Ben has cultivated in his gym. The atmosphere is the best I have ever encountered, both in the kids and adult programs (I felt like a welcome part of the team from day one, and that's not the case everywhere you go). If you want to train hard and get in shape, all while having fun and joining a really supportive community of great teammates, I can't recommend BC Kickboxing & BJJ highly enough. Time to join Professor Ben's team in Waxhaw!

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing team atmosphere and an awesome instructor! I was welcomed in right from day 1 and instantly felt like part of the team! Amazing gym all around! Everyone there is a great teammate and I look forward to new teammates who want to join with us!

Experiencia fantástica: After turning 50, I knew I needed to start working out. About 2 1/2 years ago, a friend took me to a kickboxing class with Coach Ben - who is also the owner of the gym. After my first class - red-faced and overheated - I realized that I needed to keep doing this. I have averaged about 3 workouts a week since then. When the pandemic hit, I was worried that I would lose my momentum and stop my newly acquired exercise routine - but Coach Ben had online classes for Adult Cardio set up on Zoom within a week. I am so happy that I have been able to continue my workout routine throughout the pandemic craziness of 2020 and 2021. Coach Ben is great. He keeps me motivated and encourages me so I don't slack during workouts. He continues to offer online adult cardio classes, and he is offering in-person kickboxing classes at the gym as well. Because of the shutdown last year, I even got a kickboxing bag that I use at home - which is a surprise to me and everyone who knows me!! I highly recommend Coach Ben and his team - no matter your fitness level. Experiencia fantástica: Dropped in on a jiu jitsu class while I was traveling and had an amazing time. Great instruction, great group of people, and awesome atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
