THRC Downtown

Experiencia fantástica: I love love love this gym. For being a gym in downtown San Marcos, it has all the equipment you would like! Whether you like Crossfit workouts, free weight workouts, cardio workouts, etc., they've got all the machines to train the muscle groups you want worked! I love using the rowing machine and air assault bike most with my workouts! If you haven't used them before, you should! It will take your workouts to the next level. Recently started using the Stairclimber and boy does it kick the tush. THRC downtown is conveniently located next to a great restaurant and nutrition store. Their staff is always very friendly, informative, attentive and inviting. The facility is consistently clean, which is a huge plus. Who likes being in a dirty, sweat-filled gym? 5 stars for cleanliness! Be sure to check out their gear near the front counter : ) Thanks THRC Downtown for a great experience! Highly recommended. Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic 24 hour gym Well worth it for what you pay for 24 hour access, only one I can think of where you can go in and use barbells at 3am no questions asked. Friendly staff, tons of equipment to use. Also very, very useful to have access to a clean, private restroom to use at 2-3am on a square run instead of those nasty bar bathrooms. Only kind of “eh” thing is when I came to cancel my membership when I was moving away in late 2021, and I was told that the manager was ”too busy” to deal with me as she was on the phone even though I was more than happy to wait the 10 or so minutes until she was done. Not enough to sour me off of THRC though, I’m still rejoining when I move back to San Marcos next year.

Experiencia fantástica: Love this place!! Downtown is a small gym, but they cap membership numbers so there’s hardly any people there even during peak hours. I’ve never had to wait for a machine to open up or felt uncomfortable by the sheer number of people. The staff are awesome too! They remember my name and greet me every time I come in.

Experiencia fantástica: You will never find a finer gym that offers 24hr access, has a truly friendly staff, range in quality equipment, and is local to San Marcos.

Experiencia fantástica: Great facility with a local feel! Staff is friendly and engaging. Perfect location for a quick lunch time work out or to knock out right after work. Highly recommend!
