Experiencia fantástica: Great school. Lots of experience within the gym. We are going on 2 years in the gym (Norco and eastvale location). Been in the sport with my family for about 4 years now. Im in the adult program, I have a teenager that came up through the kids program and is now rolling with the men and a daughter coming up in the kids programs. I would not recommend any other gym. The retention of students is high. I did read a negative comment about people hitting the spines and head on purpose. No one would do that on purpose, especially with kids. Accidents happen. I don't know the situation but the beginner classes are ran by our highest belts for the most part which is the Munoz family and I wouldn't want anyone else teaching my kids. My son has rolled hard with the advanced adult group and not once has anyone hurt him. Everyone has been great with the youth coming up to the adult classes. The Jiu-Jitsu taught here works just as good in self defense as in competition. Most gyms just focus on sport Jiu-Jitsu now and days. There is a difference. For example, my kids were taught to only pull guard from their first instructor at another local gym because the instructor was worried people would get hurt and that's all they do now to engage. They compete a lot and that's ok in competing but if you get into a self defense position you are not going to want to do that. At cquence they drill the takedowns a lot but also let you know guard pull is there for competition. I wish my kids had been taught this way from the beginning.
