YWCA Minneapolis - Downtown

Experiencia fantástica: Today was my first day, and I really liked this gym! It is quite spacious and quiet, and the people at the service desk and my swimming teacher were kind and respectful. Other people I met in the gym were also kind. The swimming and locker facilities are great as well. It had many shower spaces (as little rooms), spacious vanity spaces, and individual spaces to change clothes. I did not register for the membership just in case, because I wanted to have some experiences before I actually join as a member. I think I am going to join, as I look forward to visiting this gym more frequently.

Experiencia fantástica: Thomas in membership is kind and concerned about your membership. He follows up on his email. The facility is clean and close to pristine. I have no fear of Covid there because their protocol is in place. It is as well maintained as a hospital and I work in a hospital. Everything is up to standard for infection control. And yet they make you feel accepted and welcome when you walk in the door. They don't put on airs, they are kind and generous. Thank you ☺️????

Experiencia positiva: I live downtown so this is the YWCA I like to go to. The equipment is newer than the Lake Street location. I have never been to the Uptown location because they charge for parking. The pool is great. I could never swim when I was a member of the YMCA downtown because others were always in line. It is small and there is not that much equipment. If you don't like long waits Lake Street and Uptown may be better for you.
