Experiencia fantástica: I love the Waltham Y. It's clean and well maintained, not very busy when I go and there's an outdoor pool in the summer for laps or free swim.

Experiencia fantástica: The Waltham YMCA offers a variety of group exercise classes that will appeal to all age groups and the instructors that I have had classes with are extremely good and accommodating to members at every level of activity. They are engaging and the classes are fun for everyone!

Experiencia fantástica: You can do it at any skill level. I love being able to go at my own pace and the variety is great. I never get bored. There are also options for people who physically cannot run, like me. The coaches are amazing and it really feels like a community. Cannot rave enough!!

Experiencia fantástica: The Waltham Y has been a welcoming place for us, and we look forward to going there for years to come. We've been going for a toddler swim class, and Mr. Jeff is a wonderful teacher, who made our toddler excited to be in the water, and engaged while learning new skills. His teaching style is focused and fun, and he pays close attention throughout the class to how everyone is doing.

Experiencia fantástica: I'm really happy with the YMCA. Overall I think they're a great org and give a lot to the community. Pre-COVID I enjoyed using the Waltham gym/workout area. We've loved their pool and their 2020-2021 Learning Center has been wonderful for our 5 year old. So I definitely recommend them and appreciate them, not just as a place, but they feel like an important part of the Waltham community as a whole, too.

The indoor pool is great also, but if I have a chance I will always swim outdoors. The life guards are always friendly and all the staff is excellent.

When my Needham YMCA was closed due to COVID, I began using the Waltham Y, and have continued to go there some, even though Needham has re-opened.

Experiencia fantástica: As a participant in Enhanced Fitness Program at Waltham, I have experienced improved balance and flexibility. Denise Buckley is the instructor and has truly been a positive influence and great source of inspiration. The program is progressively vigorous which I welcome. Additionally, I appreciate her awareness and sensitivity to meet participants where they are and work towards individual goals despite varying fitness levels with the class at large. Her warm personality along with great music, spanning multi-generations really ADDS vigor and excitement to the class. I enjoy the cammeraderie and social connection as well. Denise ranks !10! Experiencia fantástica: Visiting member from another YMCA in Malden, MA. Was very pleased with entire facility. Super clean and stuff are all helpful. Had a friend too who was allowed in on my membership and given 3 free additional visits. Very impressed.

Experiencia fantástica: So fun! We loved the separate swim area for little kids. There are picnic tables, lounge chairs, and even a giant connect four game. Can't wait to go back.

Great workout- we had the whole pool for class. The instructor made sure we were moving the whole time and had great music. Fun class. Looking forward to next week.

Experiencia fantástica: There is something for at the Y for the whole family. I am currently at kinder kickers with my four year old. My seven year old can’t wait to use the outdoor pool later today. I work with a personal training and my husband loves the elliptical. I also meet up with a friend that I met at the Y every Tuesday at Zumba. Yoga classes are great to stretch out after my PT kicks my butt! This summer my seven year old signed up for the YMCA summer camp. When we joined the Y we just wanted to get the kids in swim class as swimming is an important life skill. I didn’t realize at the time what a community builder the Waltham YMCA is and how it would become such an important part of our lives.

It’s a very clean and friendly environment. Fellow members have become new friends. The summer and winter are equally fun at the Y. I start my day there almost every day of the week!

Experiencia fantástica: Great organization with a great mission. This branch has plenty of classes, machines and two large pools indoor and out. The grounds are a little small so outdoor activities are more limited for kids camps. Small archery range and no climbing wall for example.

Experiencia fantástica: Staff is very nice, the gym is kept clean and has a lot of machines. The pool is great though it gets full pretty fast when the outside pool closes for the winter. There is a sauna and steamroom in the locker rooms and a jacuzzi by the pool.

Experiencia fantástica: The infrastructure of Waltham YMCA is appreciable with huge Cardio room, weights room, studios for latin zumba, Y-pump, cycling, mixed fit and other varieties of group excercises. Waltham YMCA also has a huge outdoor and indoor swimming pools. Well maintained and thoroughly trained staff. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Another plus is that there is a babywatch section with spacious colorfully decorated area with two to three babywatchers while you burn your calories. Waltham YMCA always keeps me motivated to do my regular workout even after a long day. It revives me from inside.

Experiencia fantástica: A friendly staff member gave me a tour and sparked my interest in joining the YMCA. I like how social the "Y" is. You can join in on any game on the basketball court. I love the free weights and the cardio room. It's nice to have the baby sitting room in the center of the building with all windows so you can clearly see how the babies are being treated which is with love and care. (They are so cute by the way.) The swimming pool is awesome and with some of the water classes they have to offer makes it more enjoyable. There are so many different kinds of classes available, name it and they most likely have it. My favorite overall, after a intensive work out, I enjoy what I call the spa, which includes the sauna, steam room and the jaquzzi. It's nice to relax after working out. And they have showers for after which is ideal. Join the YMCA, there are many gyms out there but I like how the "Y" has some much more to offer. If you join they give you two free sessions with a personal trainer. What more of an incentive do you need to join.
