Coach Jose is extremely knowledgeable and has a love for boxing that shows in the way he teaches. I went for the first time last year with no prior experience and now a year later I feel confident that I could defend myself if I ever needed to. If you want to fight competitively; learn how to defend yourself; get a good full body workout or whatever your goal is, Coach Jose will work with you to help you achieve that.

Experiencia fantástica: Coach Jose is a great knowledgeable coach! Although very young he has so much experience and knows how to keep the kids engaged. Coming from a boxing background the techniques he uses to help them maintain their stance and also the reminder of always going back to the fundamentals over n over so they could maintain proper form is huge!!! He also mentors the kids as well about anything. We are so grateful to have him because it was very difficult to find a great coach for these ages (5 and 9). There are not many coaches wanting to deal with this age group. Glad we did and the kids love him!!

Experiencia fantástica: I recommend this gym to any newcomers because being one myself it was pretty intimidating at first but Jose(the coach) does a good job of making you feel comfortable and welcome.He takes time to teach you everything there is to know about boxing and makes sure you understand how and why you’re doing everything he’s teaching. I personally like that he does this because it helps you grasp everything better and you don’t feel like you’re just in a fitness class like I’ve experienced with other boxing gyms. Whether your goals are to compete or just to get in shape I would definitely recommend this place to do either. He also offers student discounts which is a bonus as well.

Experiencia fantástica: Jose is a very knowledgeable and accommodating coach. He takes the time to focus on the fundamentals so that you have a good base to grow from. There aren’t a lot of people around who take his approach. He genuinely cares about the safety of his people and makes sure you know what you’re doing before you step into the ring. Great guy!

Having never been a gym person and also as a female I can say I’m pretty comfortable at J.A.B. - I don’t feel judged and I’m encouraged to challenge myself, not only by José but by the crew I see there on a regular as well (thanks J.C. and Reece). José is really down to earth and shares his years of experience and knowledge compassionately. His rates are reasonable and he offers flexible scheduling (I love that I don’t have to commit to the exact same day/time). José’s made this a great experience so far. I’m enjoying learning about boxing and the workouts are personalized with lots of variety and so push my limits. I’m already feeling stronger after about five sessions in and inspired to continue setting new fitness goals for myself. I highly recommend signing up to work with him!
