Experiencia fantástica: Enjoyable experience; I’ve been a member here for a few years and not only is the staff incredible but the environment overall. People around are very welcoming and friendly, even on a busy day. I’ve recommended a few friends since and they all have loved it. On a side note; it’s wonderful to see that a place like this could give us a lot of peace from whatever line of work we’re away from. For a brand new climber, from experience I was scared myself but as stated the environment has helped more than just create an enjoyable experience. Very much recommended!

Experiencia fantástica: As someone focused on sport climbing and been to virtually every ropes gym in Texas, I can tell you that this place is the cumulative best. The routesetting team is phenomenal, the public-facing staff is friendly and courteous, and the general manager is one of the friendliest and most personable people you'll meet -- not to mention he's super strong and cares a lot about the recreation he has invested his business in (climbing). There is also a Panera Bread and Pho-style restaurant nearby, which means healthy eating before the goods! What are you waiting for?? Get at it!

For the 6 of us we found great value and an awesome facility that allows for everyone from my 3 year old to my 11 year old an activity appropriate to their skill level. I would highly recommend Momentum.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing experience! This place is so much fun. Whether you’re an expert, intermediate, casual or beginning climber, Momentum has multiple routes for varying abilities. There’s also bouldering, a gym and yoga. The staff was welcoming and very excited to get myself, my friend and 3 kids geared up quickly and climbing right away. The staff really made the difference with their exceptional service. You can tell they love their job and the place is well managed. Momentum is also a huge facility, but still has that supportive climbing community feel. Loved it here! Highly recommend for a leisure stop or joining as a member.

Experiencia fantástica: We took a lead climbing class here and it was awesome. Riley and Sam were so nice and attentive, it was definitely worth it. The class size was small, so they were able to point out what you needed to work on.l individually. My partner and I had a larger weight difference than anybody else in the class, so they let us practice falls with just a Gri Gri and then an Ohm that they let us borrow. That was really nice. The two 2 hour classes were a great pace and allowed us to practice falls & belaying, and develop technique. I would definitely recommend this class considering a lead class in our home state, Arizona, is $100 for 1 hour. 75$ for 4 hours? So worth it. You can do the lead belay test a day after the class. If you can, I would because the class wasn’t that tiresome and the setting is top tier. Thanks Sam and Riley!

Experiencia fantástica: Right now I'm using the fitness portion of the gym more, I find the trainers are fantastic they really care about helping you meet your goals in a safe way. The other gym members are kind and helpful. My teens enjoy climbing. Overall very satisfied

Experiencia fantástica: I signed up for the two-week trial membership because Momentum was right across the street from my hotel. The trial is perfect for anyone new to climbing. I only boulder, so I can’t speak to the rope climbing here. The bouldering area is small in comparison to the rope section, but still big enough to include a variety of routes/walls. It never felt overly crowded. The routes are thoughtfully set. There are fewer unusual/surprising problems than the Heights location, but there were a few fun jump starts etc. even at low grades. Service was always very friendly and quick. The walls and holds aren’t spotless, but the place overall is clean and inviting. Overall, I highly recommend checking it out, especially since a membership also gets you into their huge bouldering-only location in the Heights.

Experiencia fantástica: Went here with a friend for my first experience ever rock climbing and although it was busy (7pm on Monday) I still was easily able to find climbs that were doable for me and honestly did so much more than I thought I'd be able to. As a female over 200lbs, I was very surprised that I was able to make it to the top of climbs and ended up doing 4 total (3 balay, 1 boulder). The staff was kind and helpful and overall I had an awesome time. Strongly considering doing the two week trial.

Experiencia fantástica: Unbeatable Houston area indoor rock climbing. There is another gym that comes close, but ultimately MoKaty has the best of everything. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and ensuring safety. They also teach intro courses every day with no extra charge (if memory serves). The walls are quite tall, bouldering area is extensive, and the workout gym is a better quality than you'll find at most fitness gyms! My only wish is that they had some sort of cafe, that would make it a climber's heaven, but there are good vending machines. Still, a paradise of hard sends and happy climbers.

The staff took the time to explain all safety/climbing procedures, helped with equipment selection and adjustments and the kids had a blast! They begged to go again the next day. The 6, 7 and 12 year old found challenging climbs that were perfect for beginners. Can't wait to go back!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been enjoying this gym for over 3 years! Plenty of top rope, bouldering, and lead climbs. They even have a nice auto belay area and twin speed walls! They have kept the quality of everything over the past few years, even during the pandemic. The staff has been consistently good as well. If you've ever wanted to give climbing a try, this is a great place to do it!

Experiencia fantástica: I brought a group here for a fun event and we head a great time! The lady I spoke to who works the front desk was very kind, informative, and helpful! Very nice facility with bouldering, top rope, sport lead, auto belay, children’s area, and training area. I highly recommend going to this gym if you are looking for a place to climb. I wish I lived closer and could go more often!

Whether your Tom Cruise in MI2 or just a regular joe coming in for the first time, this place has many different areas for you to test your skills and level up to the next one. They have classes to teach you how to belay with a partner and it makes for a great first date! They offer memberships that makes the pricing even more affordable. Highly recommended.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter and a few of her friends took the climbing class, which was the perfect way to introduce the basic climbing fundamentals. A few of the girls were extremely apprehensive, but by the time class concluded, the girls overcame their fears and climbed the wall a few more times with confidence. The girls had a lot of fun! Experiencia fantástica: This was my kids first time rock climbing, and I wasn't sure if they were going to enjoy it. Using a Groupon was an excellent way to introduce them to this sport (day pass plus shoes and harnesses). The kids loved it! My oldest, who is 13, who didn't want to even tried (she doesn't like many things), loved it. My two little ones (7 years old) loved it too. They had a kid's bouldering room which is in the back, where the kids could start off, without going too high, build some confidence and get a hang of how to use the grips. After they did that for about 40 minutes, they wanted to tackle the climbing wall. On the climbing wall, you need to use the harness. The staff was nice enough to put it on my kids. Since I wasn't certified to belay my kids, they had a self-belay section, where they could climb up to 20 feet and the self-belay system will guide them down automatically. Letting go off the wall and trusting the system, took them a little time to get use to. We are definitely going back. Next time, they want to try the 40 feet all.

Experiencia fantástica: Nice facility. Tons of bouldering and lead climbing space. Friendly staff. Got a membership on my first visit. Only improvement needed is fixing their ratings. They are currently incredibly soft. Updated: ratings have gotten a lot more reasonable since first opening.

Experiencia fantástica: We have been climbing at Momentum for about 2 years. We gave it 5 stars after our very first visit, and we would give it more than that now if we could! The gym is clean, the routes are always new, but the best part of Momentum Katy is and always has been the staff. They are truly amazing, whether you have kids in the youth program, you need help in the pro shop, or you just need a little advice about climbing. We have made some great relationships with everyone here, and that is what really makes this place stand out.

Experiencia fantástica: Uber dope indoor climbing gym! The team is friendly and glad to give tours of the gym to first timers. Highly recommend you stop by and see what they have to offer. Aside from bouldering, they have areas for top-roping, and speed climbing. You’ll have to bring a family member or friend to do top-roping. If I remember correctly the wall gets as high as 50 feet. There is also a fitness area that has some free weights, pull-up bars, and several other types of holds to assist in developing upper body strength. In all. Great location. Great team. Great facility.

There’s auto-belay options upstairs, shorter runs, various levels. Downstairs there are so many options, and the wall is very tall (52 feet)!! Would definitely recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Perfect for an adventurous fun date night or family time! First time climbing and we had a blast that we climbed for four hours! Belay instructor was extremely patient and super nice! (made him clarify a few things multiple times). They have different patterns and different level of difficulty- they also had an area for kids to climb. The facility was kept extremely clean and they offer a full-functioning gym and yoga area.

They have so many options for fitness with a full gym and weight station! I wish I lived closer, I would be here everyday! Best climbing facility in the area in my opinion.

Experiencia fantástica: Brought my niece and nephew to experience indoor rock climbing for fun. The front desk clerk was so cordial and assisted me in using my Groupon. The instructor was very patient and attentive. Once my niece and nephew started climbing, they looked as if they had been climbing for years. The facility was extremely clean and well kept. It was quite cool inside so if you weren't climbing it was a bit of a chill but for the climbers it was perfect after the strenuous climbing workout. There were small benches strategically located near the various climbing walls which was perfect for me to sit and take photos. The walls were colorful so the photos were great. It was a wonderful time and perfect for a family day of fun. Pay once and climb as often and as long as you want. The staff were very professional. Definitely planning to take the rest of my family.
