This yoga studio has become more to me than anyone will know. The classes have helped me find my balance between having a busy life, being a single mom and keeping focused. The class schedule is full of opportunity for all levels. There are even classes such as Barre and Buti Yoga that add a bit off spice, one may say! I have and will continue to suggest Brown Dog to those who are not just looking for a challenge, something new or a place to call home. Namaste

Experiencia fantástica: BDY has been great for me. I've always worked out, but I wanted to try something different. I wanted to start putting yoga into my weekly workouts. I had never done yoga until 3 months ago. 1st few classes I was very nervous, but the instructors made me feel comfortable, and called me by my name. They made feel like I was part of them. I've gotten a little better with yoga since I've been doing the class, and it has helped me with my other workouts (CrossFit, weight training) BDY gets 5 stars, and everyone in class is very friendly also. We're all just trying to be a little better everyday.

Experiencia fantástica: I started at BDY when Katrina first opened the doors! I love the positive energy and sense of community BDY provides. Classes are always fun, challenging and changing! The instructors are supportive and knowledgeable with some fun and humor thrown in! I’m probably one of the older members of BDY. I always feel challenged and the instructors always provide suggestions for modifications. I never feel pressure to ‘keep up’, Only to keep moving! Brown Dog has also given me a true sense of belonging and support in a loving space. I’ve been through so many challenges, loss of parents, floods, kids moving far away and Brown Dog has always been a stable support for me! I’ve never walked through the door and not felt even better after a workout!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been a member of Brown Dog Yoga since they opened their doors eight years ago. Katrina Mailloux and her instructors are such a wonderful team, which I call my family now, they make our community a healthy, fit family. This place has it all, anything that you are looking for, whether it is yoga, cycling, TRX, fusion, or barre. BDY instructors are certified, educated and totally engaged in giving each student what they came to that class for that day. Classes are available everyday at different times, check them out. I enjoy all the classes and all the instructors. What I love most about BDY is the classes work with any fitness level. They are always showing modifications or ways to make things more challenging for you to meet your goals. I highly recommend taking a class. It is such a welcoming environment.

Yoga brought me there but it’s everything else in conjunction with yoga that keeps me coming back. Barre, fusion, TRX and Spin!! The staff is excellent and they motivate me every single class!! It is also the other members that keep me there, I have made true friendships there; I have found my tribe ❤️

They are easily as talented as any instructor I had at high end gyms and studios in NY! The new member pass is a great deal, and I would recommend unlimited membership to anyone. Love BDY!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to the Barboursville location, and so far, I am very pleased. The location is perfect for me, adequate parking, and easy to get to (right off of Route 60). The front desk is covered by Kaity and she is super sweet and helpful. I have only had two different instructors (Laura and Kristin) and they have both been welcoming. I'm the oldest person in all the classes I have attended, and I am very new to yoga, but they both have helped with modifications and encouraging words. There are nice little touches throughout - makeup remover wipes in the restrooms, towels (brown of course) to use during the sessions, a sign with the new people's first name (I just noticed my name up there last night). Also, I don't know if I will ever try these, but they offer classes on hot yoga, barre, cycling and fusion.

Experiencia fantástica: I started BDY with the 2 week promo. I had never practiced yoga of any sort, ever. So I wanted to see if it worked for me. I had a stroke several years ago, so I’m somewhat limited to what I can do. But the instructors are all so wonderful & let you modify any moves you need to. So not only am I able to do yoga “my way”, the classes have challenged me & brought me out of my protective bubble. I am enjoying every class I’ve had. The instructors are all wonderful & make every class enjoyable. I have no become a member of BDY & plan on continuing on my yogi journey.
