Experiencia fantástica: This gym is unique and one of a kind. Its got a little something for everyone! There is equipment designed more for the bodybuilding/powerlifting crowd, general health and wellness equipment and top notch cardio equipment. The overall feel and environment is very friendly and accepting of all fitness background. The staff I met has been overwhelming nice and generous. I’m only here for a week on vacation and already will miss this gym when we leave. if you’re in the area and need a place to workout this is the best option by far on the island!

Experiencia fantástica: I work out on the regular and didn’t want to miss a week of the gym while on vaca with my family. Lava 24 was exactly what I was looking for! Staff and members were welcoming and friendly, trainers - Julie and Sammy were awesome and motivating, and the small training classes were well organized and kicked my butt!

Absolutely in love with Garage Gym and all equipment they have. Super friendly stuff and you feel like you r home when you r there. 1000% recommend to all. ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: I was on the Island for a week playing golf. I wanted to maintain my workout routine. LAVA fitness was perfect. The staff was professional and the equipment was the awesome. If you want to maintain your fitness schedule while on vacation then I highly recommend LAVA fitness.

There is such a nice variety of classes to choose from too, there really is something for everyone. Classes run throughout the day and evening so they can fit anyone’s schedule.

This is the only place on island that we would think to train. Between my husband and I (competitive powerlifters and a bodybuilder) this gym has exactly what we are looking for! We will of course be back next summer too!

Experiencia fantástica: I was visiting Hilton Head Island and I was in search of a gym. I am a men’s physique competitor and we are always looking for that one special gym when we travel. My coach (who has been here before) and VRBO recommended Lava 24 Fitness. There are two awesome parts to the gym: machines in the front and free weights in the “Garage Gym.”Awesome gym that is well-equipped with everything that an athlete could ask for. Extremely clean and well maintained. Everyone practices safety precautions, too. Friendly front desk staff.

Experiencia fantástica: I just completed my third weight training visit as a new member. Very, comfortable, positive vibe. People at all stages engaged in all types of activities. Every kind of free weight station, equipment, machine, and cables you can imagine, lots of people doing cardio. The trainers who oriented me were extra nice. They run all kinds of classes if that’s your thing. This is a fantastic place to do your workouts and get fit. The members I spoke to are friendly and welcoming, as are the staff. Definitely check it out.

You can always tell how good a gym is by how the front desk staff treats you and this team was very welcoming from the first time I called to the last day I visited. Great sense of community here, seemed like mostly locals with a few visitors sprinkled in. Definitely a hidden gem if you’re a true weightlifter

Experiencia fantástica: Great gym with excellent staff (Sammi, Jake, Julie, Olga) and classes (took Lava Cycling & Lava Fusion several times in a week during my vacation stay). Their mobile app is easy to use and allows for reserving spots in classes and seeing full schedule. Pretty slick. All you could want in a gym…clean, nice equipment, friendly/competent staff, organized and the local members (Cary & pals) are super cool, welcoming and funny. I’ll be back next vacation. Step up and get the gold week membership if visiting….all hour access and all class access. It’s a value.

Experiencia fantástica: This gym is perfect for anybody - from hard core lifter to casual fitness this gym has more machines, equipment, free weights, and capabilities than you’d expect. When the Marriott I was staying at still thinks Covid is a thing and limited their fitness center hours, required a reservation, and basically made it impossible to use the gym (go ahead and cancel me if you want liberals) I had to find a different place to workout, Lava fitness is perfect! AND - 24 hours! Def recommend it.

Living here for a long time I have never heard anyone on our island say a negative thing about them. If something needs attention, they listen and are helpful. They always seem to have constant improvement of the gym in their sights at all times.

Experiencia fantástica: Great facility! I'm an athlete at my college who has to use a row machine, and they had three ERGs that were almost always available. They have a lot of equipment and the staff is nice. Only note is that is it very warm in the gym. Not sure why, but I used it to sweat out my toxins

The staff and owner are courteous and professional. I've been training here for 8 years and am glad to have a 24hr accessible gym here on Hilton Head which offers as much as Lava does.

Jake, Olga Lluvia, the whole team here are just super friendly and it's cool seeing them workout here too. Always helpful and provide tips to help make me better. Couldn't be happier with how fast they welcomed me as part of the community, as part of the Lava family. It's truly an awesome place to come and workout. Great music, super clean and just about every machine you could need. Plus tons of other perks. Worth every penny! Not trying to tell you how to live your life but you'd be messing up if you didn't get a membership here.

Incredibly well equipped gym, friendly staff ( shout out to Gabe & Jake for making us feel welcome!). The vegan smoothies were a wonderful way to recover after the workouts. Highly recommended.

Experiencia fantástica: Almost at the end of my 21 day challenge and I couldn't be more pleased with Lava Fitness. Lots of support, even though I am pretty new to exercising at a gym! The turf classes and yoga are my favorite, and Myranda is very helpful with fitness tricks and tips when we meet. I highly recommend this friendly, supportive gym!

The first time I stopped by to inquire, the owner (Nate) was near the front desk and overheard me asking questions and he promptly offered to show me around. That level of service is reflected in the staff as he seems to hire well. Very friendly, professional environment and the facility is well maintained. The equipment selection is excellent and the layout of the gym is very unique and well thought out. I've already recommended LAVA to others who visit the island and will continue to do so.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve only been here a few weeks but I’m already in love with pretty much everyone on the staff. They’re all super friendly but not in your face making you want to be like shut up stop drawing attention to me. They’re the perfect balance of enthusiastic and low key. I’ve tried 3 or 4 different gyms on the island and so this is the only one that’s ever stuck. Special shoutout to Myranda and Kristen.

Experiencia fantástica: I purchased a one week membership while on vacation in Hilton Head Island. LAVA24 exceeded every expectation I have for a gym. The staff is educated, friendly, and helpful. The gym itself offers every piece of equipment I could ask for and more (never had to wait for a machine, squat rack, or free weight). The gym also offers smoothies/protein shakes, which I thought was a great benefit for someone traveling that may have left or forgot to bring supplements.

Experiencia fantástica: I visited Lava Fitness in April while on vacation and I must say I was very impressed. I spend most of my afternoons at the gym at home so I was very skeptical about finding something comparable to what I like. Thier operation did not disappoint! I'm into the heavier weight lifting but I understand that it isn't for everyone and those people can be intimidating to others. Lava does a good job separating the styles while making everyone feel welcome. I had a great experience at the facility and will definitely visit again if I am in the area.

There were plenty of weights and machines to use so you didn't need to wait to use a certain machine. The staff was very friendly and the gym was nice. Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful experience at lava24! They do a fantastic week membership for when you're on vacation and the gym workout room doesn't cut it. They have everything you could possibly need: free weights, multiple machines, cardio machines, classes, a turf, function fitness equipment, massages, physical therapy, and best of all, smoothies! I wish we had this gym at home.
