The layout and amount of equipment is amazing! -Large turf area to use the sled -All different kinds of bars and attachments: multiple spider bars, Buffalo bars etc. -Almost every piece of machine & plate loaded machine you can think of -Multiple squat and deadlift platforms -THREE separate rooms with equipment in each -Every band you could need for banded exercises and they even have chains -Dumbbells up to 195lb I believe -Perfect amount of cardio equipment -Clean bathrooms with lockers and showers -A space outside to use the different sized tires they have Not only is the gym fantastic but the owner is a great guy with a ton of knowledge who is always willing to help. Love this place!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to Motor City Iron Gym for a few weeks and I love it. I recently started working in the area and was looking for a gym with more powerlifting minded folks. The gym offers two types of memberships, a normal membership with access to tons of equipment which includes dumbells, almost any machine you can think of, a turf area, cardio equipment, squat racks and deadlift platforms. The other is a powerlifting membership which gives you access to the normal membership equipment as well as the powerlifting room, which includes something like 7 combo racks, a regular rack, 4 deadlift platforms, a monolift, and almost every specialty bar you can think of (deadlift bar, ohio power bar, cambered bar, SSB, etc.). And there's also these gorgeous calibrated Eleiko plates! The locker room is pretty big (bring your own lock) and has a sauna. The staff is nice and I've loved working out here because of the powerlifting room and the atmosphere in there. It's also great that the gym is never packed like one of those commercial gyms like Powerhouse Gym...where you have to wait to get on equipment since everyone and their mother's are there. If you're a powerlifting, it's a must check-out...even if you're just a casual gym goer, there's plenty of equipment, rates are decent, and a less jam-packed environment.

Experiencia fantástica: Awesome gym! There's a dedicated powerlifting section that had combo racks for days and all the specially bars you can ever want. This gym has all the best equipment and they are well kept. Also, they don't have cheap toilet paper in the bathrooms, which is a huge plus.

Experiencia fantástica: MCI is the best facility I know that can meet a wide range of fitness goals under the same roof. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and everyone there helps to create a real lifting atmosphere.

The staff and clientele are welcoming, accommodating, strong and diverse. The facilities are well-kept, the weights and machines in great shape, and music to amp you up for that big lift is never in short supply. Highly recommend this gym!

Experiencia fantástica: I crushed tons of goals here. The wide variety of bars and equipment will make it easy to get by any plateau in either your strength or just general fitness goals. The power lifting room is an area that all gyms should have but most gyms lack. Worst part about moving away from the area was leaving this gym.

Experiencia fantástica: This isn't a cookie cutter strip mall gym. This is a real gym run by real people, not CEOs in suits. If you're looking for a real gym that you can do real work in, Motor City Iron is the gym for you. If you want to do serious powerlifting, bodybuilding, be a gym rat or just want someplace you can go do a general workout - Motor City Iron is the place for you. Great staff, good equipment all in a real gym.

Experiencia fantástica: Not a Cookie Cutter Gym! Great atmosphere, equipped with everything from fitness to hard core Power Lifting to Cross Fit. There are plenty of Gyms in Macomb County but no other like MCIG. If you are looking for a fitness community to call home or just a change of pace from the franchise gym, you have to give this place a try. You will be glad you did!

I've been to a number of gyms and I can say, with confidence, this gym has the best equipment and staff compared to the other gyms I have been to. I flew in town and had been looking for somewhere to workout out after being let down by family and friend who had guest pass for the gym but a lot of EXCUSES. I was mad I found this gym on the last day of my stay. However I was glad they where there to help me stay on track for my fitness goals. Just the atmosphere of the gym alone made me want to do a total body workout because of the equipment and the raw feel of it. Not like other gyms where you have to wait to use equipment because people are holding them up playing with their phones. You can get straight to business here. I've found my 2nd home when I'm in town . Thanks again MOTOR CITY IRON

The perfect balance of selectorized machines, free weights, equipment for athletes, not having to split equipment with personal training, cardio machines, etc. plus open AstroTurf for sprinting, a medical spa, locker room with saunas/showers, and PHYSICAL THERAPY ON SITE!!! Unreal! Feel comfortable in your own skin, never too busy where you can’t find an open machine, and they even have an isolated room for competitive powerlifting. You have to check this place out!
