The Girl Friend has a membership she loves it, my son and I just tag along and wow its so fun to watch him learn.. fun for the whole family.. and the boldering is so fun..

Experiencia fantástica: Cool gym with good route setting. Smaller area, but good use of space. Plenty of route on top rope, lead, auto-belay, and to Boulder. Testing out of top rope, if you know what you’re doing only takes a minute. Just ask. Didn’t have much time so I didn’t try testing out of lead. They have some crack features and a well set slab wall.

Experiencia fantástica: Great little climbing place. Erika was amazing - she was very patient and thorough with the top rope and belaying lesson. I highly recommend the place even if only for her. They have top rope, auto-belay, and bouldering options. Climbing shoes are available for rent as well as harnesses. You don't have to pay for the grigri / belaying device, just give your keys, phone, or a credit card as collateral.

Experiencia fantástica: Does it look like a climbing gym, smell like a climbing gym, and sound like a climbing gym? It sure does! Despite how compact the place is, there's a bunch of routes. Bouldering, lead climbing, top roping, and auto belay: they've got it all. Great sets and good vibes await. Plenty of parking is always a plus.

Experiencia fantástica: Great gym with fun routesetting (saying this as a former Touchstone member). The price is very affordable and it's great that there is no initiation fee. There's always parking available and the staff is really friendly. My one qualm about this gym is that a lot of the holds are old and worn out so there's not a lot of friction when trying to hold onto them, but it just adds an extra element of challenge.

Experiencia fantástica: This gym has definitely improved over the last three years. It continues to provide challenging and creative routes at a competitive monthly price. Also nice that there's no initiation fee or charge for freezing your membership. They also have tons of locations so you'll never run out of problems. I recommend checking out the long beach location as well.

Experiencia fantástica: Only had time to go once since I'm from out of town, but friendly staff and members, even helped me figure out a route. They've got auto-belays and if your coming in on your own, you don't have to take the orientation class to do auto-belays, just for top-rope.

Experiencia fantástica: Great atmosphere. New courses every month. Great pricing and clean space. Mornings are Empty and clean. As time passes the crowds come in and out and the place does get messy with chalk but that’s expected. By the next day it’s clean.

Experiencia fantástica: My first time here, I was a guest from my brothers membership. You're allowed one free guest a month as part of your membership. This location has a great variation between bouldering, auto relay, and if you're experienced, relay but you've got the be trained for that. If you're new, I'd recommend the V1, V2 color coordinated rock pieces. The space is very casual and it's a great hobby to explore. Make sure to practice safe habits and safe landing because it can be dangerous. Its a lot of fun. Memberships are $54 a monthly with discounts available to teachers/students. They offer equipment rentals but if you're commiting, I'd recommend purchasing your own gear.

Experiencia fantástica: Started coming here as a beginner (still am one) and this gym has plenty of accessible routes that have helped me slowly build my way up the grades. Great value for the price, especially with the classes that they host 3 times a week. I've only attended Monday yoga, but that's more than enough value for me right there.

Experiencia fantástica: A little tiny, but the environment is calming and colorful. It's tucked in the back of a bare business center. Very helpful & friendly staff. First day of membership, shoe rental is free, $3 thereafter. Try it, it tops a typical gym. Oo & they offer yoga. They do offer day passes.

They usually only offer advice when you ask but that's because they don't want to to feel like they're criticizing you. Everyone is really helpful regarding climbing technique for different body types.

Experiencia fantástica: Never thought I would get in to rock climbing, until I came here. A very addicting sport that is completely beginner friendly? I love it. It's easy for anyone to start at almost any age. If you can walk you can climb! Great bouldering, auto belay, and belay routes all around. And they change the routes often so you never get bored! If youre considering going here I would say just go for it. Try it at least once and if it's not for you, then it's not for you. But if it is, then it's an awesome hobby to have.

The staff is super chill. It can be super busy and crowded after work but usually pretty quiet during the day or even early afternoon.

Experiencia fantástica: If you're looking for an indoor climbing gym in Los Angeles, I cannot recommend Hanger 18 enough! The staff is nice, the people that climb there are generally friendly, they change the routes often enough to keep climbers challenged and their prices are half of what anyone else is charging. The biggest reason I recommend them is because they stand behind their members - 100%. Some friends and I had an issue where we weren't given what we'd initially singed up for... and we were rightfully disappointed. However, once I shared my experience, Dave (Hanger 18's COO) reached out to me personally to right the situation. It's great knowing you are doing business with a company who will stand behind their products and services! Hanger 18 is where it's at!

Experiencia fantástica: This place has climbing for kids, groups, and tricky stuff for the experienced climbers. The staff are very helpful and give safety courses to first time climbers. They have a membership which is a great value if you go regularly.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the most welcoming climbing gym in the area. I've climbed a lot at Rockreation, Stronghold, Hangar 18, and a few others and there is no place else that I go where I meet as many nice people. Admittedly they overrate a lot of their climbs (I'm not doing 12b/c outside) and Stronghold has longer routes, but every time I go I meet new people to climb with and the people working at the place are super nice. I live much closer to Rockreation but choose to drive to be with better people.

Experiencia fantástica: Definitely a good climbing gym. They don't have AC so go early or late when it's cooler outside or you'll be sweating a lot. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Their lesson was informative and to the point. Not as many auto belay options as I would like to see but overall very good for the price.
