The Kroc Center Hampton Roads

Experiencia fantástica: This center was amazing. We have only ever had a positive experience with the staff and other members. The staff always goes out of their way to accommodate our family. Everything about the facility was clean and kept in perfect working condition. The monthly fee was affordable, but we have moved and decided the drive would be too far. We bought the things we need for a home gym but will miss the child watch the Kroc Center provides. Our kids loved to go and the staff was always nice and caring. My wife and I have passed the word and a few of our friends became members too.

Experiencia fantástica: Great friendly and helpful staff. Large variety of state of the art exercise equipment, including weight machines, free weights, treadmills, stair climbers, ellipticals, bikes, mini track, gym and pool. Facility is very clean, neat and appealing. Never seems to be overcrowded. Variety of fitness classes, including a tap class for children, and a ballroom dance class for adults. There is an amazing swimming pool that any kid would enjoy. Lockers are small, but showers and locker rooms, including the sauna are nicely kept and cleaned. Offers individual, private showers as well as family cabanas. There are several programs for the care of children, but not familiar with specifics. They also have a security guard that actively monitors the parking lot at night. Great place for family or individual exercises.

Experiencia fantástica: The absolute best community center in Hampton Roads. The staff is caring, friendly and attentive. They all genuinely want your experience there to be that of family! The facility is clean and state of the art. My entire family loves going there and we so at minimum 4 days a week. I would encourage everyone to check it out! You will not be disappointed!

Experiencia fantástica: I was at the Pop Shop on 8/20/2022as a vendor and customer it was such a great Vibe I made my back but then started shopping with other vendors needless to say I my money back and some great items What a Success Thank Latosha!!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I enjoy the Kroc center. The both of us have disabilities. Just walking around in the pool helps our bodies a lot. I feel so comfortable being there. Our grandkids can’t get enough of the centers. Keep up with the good work.

Experiencia fantástica: Very nice. I’ve been going for several years. Staff are friendly, place is clean, and hours or operation are great. I went to a few yoga classes, which is very basic. If you are advanced in yoga like I am, you wont get much here. Gym equipment is frequently updated. Good quality for the price. Many people seem to like the Zumba classes. Great mix of people black white, young old fit and not so fit. Great for families!

Experiencia fantástica: Joined recently and love this place. Go 3 times a week to work out. Only one problem. Some rude people just sit on a machine playing on their phone and keeping other people from using it. Why not do that at home instead of at the gym!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: It was very nice. I was attending a wedding reception in the gym. The gym was converted into a ballroom. It was beautifully decorated and done over in grand fashion.

Experiencia fantástica: I love the Kroc. The staff is very friendly and professional. They are always willing to take the time to assist and explain. I have belonged to 5 clubs as a paid member. None of these previous places were anywhere as sparkling clean as the Kroc. The equiptment is kept up to date and working. The pool brings out the kid in me daily. Experiencia fantástica: Omg The Kroc Center exceeded my expectations. Everyone is super nice and super helpful. The event coordinator, Tosha, was amazing!! I threw my son's 10th birthday party here in the pool area and everyone had fun, especially the kids. The pool area almost looked like a small waterpark. There's a regular pool, slides, lazy pool, and a splash area for smaller kids. I mean there was something for everyone. It was great place to have a birthday party

Equipment, classes and it’s always clean - ALWAYS. I am a big fan of the variety of classes they offer. And it’s affordable. Go get your membership now!

Experiencia fantástica: Living down the road from the Kroc center has been such an amazing experience. This was the first childcare place I felt I could trust putting my son in and they did not disappoint. He would look forward to getting there everyday and I credit that to the kids club staff, who would get excited to see him every time. It really means a lot to a mother (especially a first time mother who has no family nearby) As for the gym, always spotless. Staff was always incredibly friendly. Specifically, and I’m sorry I never could remember his name but I’m sure “Seth Rogen” lookalike will tell exactly who I’m referring to.... always made us feel special by remembering us and every one of the members who walked through the doors. The free events that were held..... wonderful. The heated pool...... sauna.... spectacular. I can’t rave enough about this center. Thank you for everything, Kroc Center. -the Hanlons

Experiencia fantástica: We're actually not members, but we're part of a group Coach B is working with for some team training. Coach B is absolutely amazing. The boys love him. His training is awesome. On top of that, the place is clean. The workout facilities are nicely set up with plenty of options. The overall facility is nice and the workers are polite as well.

My wife really likes to work out area and my son loves to go in the play area they both love the swimming pool they go probably two or three times a week just for the pool and especially the slide my son really likes the slide go check it out

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful place for the whole family, I really believe they are the cleanest a gym can get. All the fitness classes are great they offer spin, Zuma, barre, pilates and more. Fantastic pool.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been a member of the Kroc center since their first year in business, I have seen drastic improvements in areas of weakness and an ongoing effort to bridge the gaps in our community. Their fitness center is state of the art and ran by a local who is truly passionate about our youth, helping our senior community & teaching our neighbors about overall health and nutrition. Brandon & Adam have become faces I look forward to seeing as I walk down the corridor to the gym and bantering back and forth with them about the newest health crazes/workout challenges. I would be remised if I did not speak about the front desk staff and facilities team in this review. I am surprised daily by the kindness of the staff that runs the front desk and their ability to make the Kroc center feel like home. We all know each other by name, they take the time to know and care about your day and are some of the most genuine people I have had the privilege of experiencing. A huge thank you to the facilities staff for keeping the Kroc center immaculate, fully stocked, and always looking tiptop. You guys are the real MVPs. Before I end this review I have to sing the praises of one more department... probably the most important for me seeing as I am a mother. The child watch team! My daughter absolutely loves the staff of your child watch.. they continue to help her grow and flourish by doing crafts, games, music & learning activities. She asks to go everyday and has build some amazing bonds with other children as well as staff there. Members of the Kroc center have become my family, we have vacationed with friends we have met there, had other members over for dinner and love to spend time there. Please continue to keep up the great work. We notice you! Even the people behind the scenes I didn’t mention!!

Experiencia fantástica: Very good for the money. Dozens of cardio, strength and body weight equipment. As well as a track, basketball court and a decent sized indoor pool. Each locker room also has a very good sauna and half a dozen showers with excelling water pressure. They also offer a ton of free and paid for classes, definitely recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Love this place. I joined 1 month ago i waited to post a review. I really enjoy the classes: core and more, shred . The coach Jordan is awesome. I look forward to coming here. The facility is clean. The kids club is great. The people that watch your kids engage them in activities like reading . If you have not joined this place please do and you wont regret it.

Experiencia fantástica: Great vibe!! Every machine you'd want in a workout!! Most programs are included with the membership price. I participated in an aerobics class and yoga in the same day. The instructors are energetic and personable.

Experiencia fantástica: 3rd time there, but first time having them cater. The kitchen and hospitality staff were awesome very attentive, helpful,and quick to respond and solve the issue. I must say I was impressed. Been in the business for a long time. Was very pleased and will return and recommend this place and services to others.

Experiencia fantástica: Now that prices have significantly dropped its a great place for family rec time. I hope they match they're with places like planet fitness. Maybe, they can run the gym from 5am.to 3 am.

Experiencia fantástica: I really enjoy being this place because you can work out and after you can get in the pool and my kids love it as well when we workout the kids go in the child watch and play and do different activities. It's great for the whole family.

Experiencia fantástica: Love coming here with my almost 3 year old. We go on Toddler Thursdays and it’s $5 for pool time, a craft, a bounce house, and I’m sure other activities (my daughter usually wants to stay in the pool and do a craft after). My husband and I also took her to the pool on a Saturday and it was very calm- $12 per adult and since she is under 3 right now she got in for free. The staff is very nice and the facility is clean, definitely going again.

Experiencia fantástica: The Kroc has two ergs (rowing machines). Be sure to set the resistance down to something appropriate. When the machines are cleaned/reset at the end of the day they are always set back to 10! I believe this has discouraged many to use these machines because the resistance is so hard. Great place - have fun!

This was my first experience with a gym membership and I fully understand why people pay for a gym membership now,you a dealing with a helpful staff that addresses you by name. I absolutely love going here. They offer so many classes at accessible times.

Experiencia fantástica: The best place I ever experience in my life. Great helpful staffs. Mr William helped me sign up and was being sweet and greet me as I walked in right away. The classes are great and I never knew that this place. My spiritual father Mapp told us about it a while back and finally I became a member with my family. You all should come and join us. There's a lot of different activities here to do. I love to swim also day care is available. My family loves this place a lot. Here's the funniest thing we ask our kids to spend 4th of July in Busche Garden. They said no. They rather go to the krocks. Lol.

Experiencia fantástica: My family and I love this place. My kids love the pool, it's like a little water park. They constantly have family events free for all to attend. The people are friendly and very clean. My children also takes piano, singing, acting, guitar, ballet classes for low a fee. Amazing place for anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: I spend a lot of time at the KROC center. I enjoy all the activities there. Very nice quiet room for seniors and I walk across the hall to use The Prayer Room.
