Experiencia fantástica: Great facility, curteous staff, and solid route setting. The workout area with all the hangboards and systems board make it a great place to train too. My only gripe would be the static lines with the double wrap make top rope belaying a real pain. Get rid of em!!

Experiencia fantástica: Really great climbing gym, the type you'd expect in a city far larger than Grand Junction. Very nicely set lead routes in an awesome lead cave; I don't know who this "Stu" guy is, but his route setting is sublime. I do worry that if I keep climbing his routes I will achieve nirvana and transcend this mortal plane, but I guess I'll just take that as it comes. They also have friendly staff, a nice workout area, and clean facility; been a member since 2019 and always have a great time!

Experiencia fantástica: Super fun place to top rope, lead climb, or boulder. You have to sign a waver if you haven't been before, which you can do online before you arrive. Great routes that are for all skill levels. Will definitely be back. And would definitely recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Went with a group for my first time and had so much fun. I used both human belay and the auto belay. The auto feels freaky at first, but was definitely great to be able to try stuff solo. Thanks for the great experience and see you soon!

Experiencia fantástica: Grand valley climbing was a great gym! They have bouldering, auto belay, top rope and lead routes. The staff was very helpful and reminded us how to belay properly since we were a little rusty. We stopped by while visiting family in grand junction and had so much fun! I will definitely go back when we are in town again :)

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I were looking for a gym which offered more 'functional training' to support an outdoor lifestyle. We have enjoyed the climbing gym for almost two years now. They offer one-on-one coaching sessions for beginners through advanced climbers and yoga classes a couple days a week. There is fun for the whole family here!

Experiencia fantástica: There was a mixup with our birthday party. We had to go elsewhere as the doors were locked. Eventually the owner contacted my daughter, and he really owned up to the issue. He paid our expenses for where we did go, plus offered 21 passes, which was the number of kids for the party. He drove to where we were, and handed my daughter the passes. He paid the cost over the phone before he got here. He apologized several times, and made it right. Will do business again, as he understands how to treat customers.

Experiencia fantástica: Passed through Grand Junction on a road trip and stopped at Grand Valley Climbing. Front desk and other climbers were all super friendly and masked up. We just bouldered and had the area almost to ourselves. Grading felt fair and fun problems. Don't know how people could rate this gym poorly.

Experiencia fantástica: GVC has made a significant difference in the lives of the youth I work with. Thank you Grand Valley Climbing for giving back to kids in need in our community! The kids I work with enter the gym the first time nervous and unsure, this is usually very new for them. They get a chance to experience a laid-back, sports-positive environment and observe and interact with advanced climbers. Again and again I watch them face their fears, set goals, overcome challenges and gain a sense of accomplishment and self confidence.

Experiencia fantástica: GVC is a great gym and very reasonably priced. They set fun and interesting routes. The staff is great. It is the only indoor climbing facility in GJ and provides a much needed service. There seems to be a small group of people whining and complaining and starting some ridiculous social media outrage campaign. I read all the comments on here posted about a month ago. Let me get this straight: You pulled your time and resources to campaign against a small price increase? There are homeless people, abused children, etc... here in Grand Junction and this is the cause you pull together to fight. F-ing pathetic and petty. Cost of goods and services tend to go up over time. Also, if you don't like it then go to a different gym or start your own. Gosh darn whiny snowflakes. If you don't have up to date contact info or don't check your email that is your fault. I understand rising costs can be financially difficult for some but downing others is not an appropriate response.

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience here! As a beginning climber, I received instruction and encouragement from the staff at GVC. Manny, in particular, was helpful in explaining the classes at GVC and climbing gear. The yoga classes here are great for climbers, however, they could use a wider variety of hours, offering some classes in the morning in addition to the evening classes. Overall great experience.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff are amazing; always friendly and helpful. A place where everybody knows your name. The owner has always been friendly as well. The best in-door climbing option within literally hundreds of miles. I am so thankful to have GVC as an option in the GJ. Lots of autobelays for those without a belayer in tow. There's also helpful training equipment upstairs, including a moonboard and freeweight options.

Experiencia fantástica: This is an amazing place to climb, they have great equipment that allow for partnered climbs or auto belays for solo climbing. They have tons of routes to choose from, both bouldering and top rope. They're exercise isn't too shabby either.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent climbing gym! Very beginner friendly with a ton of incremental advancement for those looking to continually get better and stronger. The team there also periodically switches up the climbing courses to keep the varying routes fresh. 10/10 would fail at trying to over come the overhang again.

Experiencia fantástica: SUPER FUN!!!!!! I love it sooooooooo much there!!!!! They have great workers, super nice climbers, and a wall for every type of climber!!! One time, when I was little, I went up on the boulder and I was too scared to get down! Then, a worker told me not to worry, because we weren’t allowed to go down on any side but the flat one, with the black holds. That really helped me calm down. Then he went down, and helped me get down. I will never forget that day. I LOVE IT THERE!!!!!!!! 100% would recommend. And I always have a great time there!!!!! Experiencia fantástica: This place is the best! Everyone who works there is super friendly, plus the gym offers so many routes for everyone! Fun to go there even if you’re solo, the gym has great bouldering as well as auto Belays, so you’re not bored even without a partner. If you have a partner to lead with, the cave offers beautiful steep climbing on lead that is pumpy and long. Overall, amazing gym that I highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Grand Valley Climbing was the first climbing gym that I had ever been to. It was the right choice, their service was great, their walls were well maintained, and it was amazingly fun when I went here. I definitely recommend that you go here if you want to get more comfortable with climbing. Their tallest wall was around 65 feet tall and they rent out gear if you don't have your own. I will have to say, if you are not used to using the auto-belays then I would recommend that you go up about 5-10 feet and then jump down just to get a little more used to the equipment. I look forward to coming here again. Great facility.

Routes are well thought out and have a good selection of difficulties, with amenities such as fitness equipment, yoga studio, resource wall, young climbers wall, party room, and include both bouldering and top rope climbing. Prices are fair for the selection and a variety of classes are included in the membership. The gym is also open 7 days a week so it's optimal for routine. Overall it's a fine gym!

Decent sized bouldering area and plenty of routes with a good amount of those with auto-belays. Super clean facility and their staff was super helpful and very pleasant. Loved it!

Experiencia fantástica: I'm surprised there are not more reviews of this place. It's a neat little climbing gym with some surprisingly tall climbing walls. Bouldering, top roping and lead climbing routes are all available here. There's also a fitness area upstairs. The locker room has a shower and lockers for storing valuables (cubbies are found next to the main climbing area). There's even a small store where you can purchase climbing gear. Pretty much you can find all the amenities you'd expect at a typical climbing gym. One big thing for me is the ventilation. Some gyms are horrible at it and you are pretty much breathing in a ton of chalk and dust while climbing. However, this gym seems to do a great job at ventilating the place! Then on second thought, I haven't been here on a busy day so I'm not the best judge of that. There are student, military and family discounts on the monthly passes so that's something to consider if you are thinking about signing up. The $16 daily pass is pretty pricey, but there's currently a deal for $8 passes on Wednesdays after 5pm. I think it is great that there's an indoor climbing gym in Grand Junction! Super friendly staff and chill vibes here. The only con is the pricing. It's quite expensive for a small gym... I'm from Seattle where indoor rock climbing was born so you can imagine the gyms there can be pretty big. That said, this gym is relatively small but the pricing is comparable to a much larger gym. Another thing to take into account is the cost of living in Grand Junction, which is much less than Seattle, so lowering the price can potentially bring in a lot more customers.
