Experiencia positiva: The Rec. center has always been my go to gym since I was in high school. As a Fredericktonian, many have a draw to this gym because of the history and environment. $20 a month, city resident, no contract needed is a great price as well. However the gym needs some serious updating (facility and equipment). Most of the equipment is outdated by decades. The facility needs some attention as well. Frederick City Parks & Recs need to address the equipment situation. Someone who actually cares needs to step in and get the ball rolling. I know many gym attendees that are even willing to donate equipment or money for new equipment. Come on Frederick Parks & Recs, get it together!

Experiencia fantástica: I take an aerobic class. The policy is mask on the whole time in the gym. Everything is sanitized when you leave. The floor is marked with 6feet by 6feet boxes. The instructor is awesome. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: Super job checking temperature upon entrance, with few people in the building for reserved pickleball courts, and everyone wearing masks. I felt safe.

Experiencia fantástica: I'm a gym junkie sure, and I just moved downtown and I will say im very pleased with the Talley fitness center. Its not super fancy by no means but it has everything you need by far (squat racks, Smith, bench, tons of accessory machines, free weights and a moderate amount of cardio machines. I became a nemeber during COVID and they are very sanitary keeping capacity limits and clean the entire gym every hour. The staff is VERY nice and helpful. I would reccomend this gym to any type of athlete especially for the price, very cheap so even if you belong to another gym but just want a quick workout near home or work its perfect!

Experiencia fantástica: Historical center available for community events of all sizes. Wonderful staff to assist you in your meeting plans. Athletic services, recreation, gym and meeting rooms all held within this building. Stairs to reach the 2nd floor meeting rooms

Experiencia fantástica: This is the gym I always go to while living downtown. No contract, pay per month if you want, its what I do. Affordable and I can walk here from work. Would reccomend for a gym if you're living in Downtown Frederick.

Experiencia fantástica: I live 2 blocks away from here so I may be biased but this place is great for folks that live in downtown Frederick!! You will be hard to find a better price and the equipment is good with a nice variety. Free weights and machines. Trx , ropes,a wall to do core with medicine balls, basically all the equipment you need and then some. For those with little ones looks like they have a room for them while you workout. $21 a month $ 16 if 55 and older.

Experiencia positiva: This place has old equipment, but the equipment is quality! I enjoy working out here as I can find all of the equipment that I feel that I need (and more!) You also can't beat the price! As long as you can get past the fact that this place isn't flashy and brand new, you will be able to get a great sweat and build some muscle!

Experiencia positiva: I only use the gym downstairs so thats all I can speak to. Its a nice enough gym. Has a power rack, 2 bench press racks, and space for 1 to do deadlifts. Its usually never busy, but there can occasionally be a wait for the above mentioned pieces. The rest of the gym is decent. A little bit dated with the numbers on the plates on a lot of the machines no longer visable, but nothing monumental. Ample cardio machines that I've never seen a line for. Free weight selection is limited and if there are other people using that section, you may have to go up or down a weight if you dont want to wait. Music playing over the speakers is sometimes not the best, but it is a public gym. Put in headphones, problem solved.

Experiencia positiva: Good place to get in, get that workout in, and get out. Nothing frilly, but you should have most things you need. I’ve worked out I think during the busiest times and I wait less than I did at chain gyms despite it being so much smaller. Could stand for some newer equipment I think, but for a Frederick resident, the price can’t be beat.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place to take the kids to play basketball. I recently moved to Frederick and searched for places to take my 3 children to shoot hoops. Found Talley and it's only $2 for entry.
