Experiencia fantástica: Great gym! The staff is very welcoming along with the all the patrons! Awesome equipment to do whatever you need. If you want to get big, get strong, and get fit this is the place to do it! They also hold phenomenal strongman competitions; if you haven’t made one, make it a point to keep a look out for the next one!

Experiencia fantástica: I’m an amateur strongman out of Western Tennessee. I have competed in 2 competitions at Atlas Strength Shop in Baton Rouge and both were great experiences. My first competition at Atlas was what I will always remember as on of the best comps ever. There were great athletes from all over the south and gulf coast. The local crew in Louisiana are a great bunch of men and women always fun to compete with. I also competed in Louisiana’s strongest there which was a blast. I got to meet an whole new group of competitors which made for another great event! Cameron and Matt put a lot of work into these comps and it shows. Almost every time they have built a new device for an event at the show. Cameron is a true fan of the sport and has a passion for strongman which causes him to go to great lengths to consistently add new equipment to the gym. Even if you’re just in the area I recommend dropping in to check it out in person. Since you’re in Baton Rouge don’t forget to try some of the amazing local restaurants, LSU campus, tour the plantations, and see some gators in the wild! If you live near you should be a member, traveling to Baton Rouge drop in, and strongmen you must make a trip to compete here!

Experiencia fantástica: Competed here for the 3rd annual Rougarou strongman/woman event. This gym is home to national record holders, strength coaches, veterans, strongman/woman and all around good people. The gym is equipped with everything a lifter needs to for a good workout or hangout. It’s a well taken care of and clean facility. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They also put on fun, welcoming and organized events. I look forward to revisiting the gym as often as possible.

Experiencia fantástica: Atlas hosted the Rougarou classic this past weekend. The competition ran very smoothly and the gym had a plethora of cool strongman and powerlifting equipment. This is definitely one of the most well stocked strength training gyms in the state.

Experiencia fantástica: Struggling with trying to find ways to cross train from another discipline, I came to Atlas. I made an appointment for an assessment with the owner, Cameron, and he walked me through several different exercises, checking my form along the way and making adjustments and modifications as needed to work around previous injuries or improper methods I had picked up without formal training. He was very knowledgeable and I felt secure in his knowledge. I also witnessed some of his interactions with other members while I was there and he was light hearted and encouraging with them. It seems like a fun place and a good community, which is important for me as a female. I would feel good about continuing my practice here knowing that I was safe and looked after- not just by him, but by all members looking out for each other. Would recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Hands down the best gym in the entire state of Louisiana. The environment is super family oriented. I knew almost every member on a first name basis. The equipment is superb ranging from a variety of strongman & traditional powerlifting things to train with. Did I mention the excellent programming? All and all Can’t express enough how wonderful it was to work out at the atlas before I moved out of the state.

I’ve shopped around plenty gyms in Baton Rouge and once I set up an appointment to meet with the owner to check out his gym I knew I was sold, the gym has a nice atmosphere definitely if you were serious for working out staying focus, I have private sessions with the owner for training sessions and his attention to detail is insane the is my gym for the long haul!!

Great hospitality from owner and members as I dropped in for a Friday afternoon day pass while on the road from Houston, TX. A friend told me about Atlas and I love it! None of the machines that confuse me. No mirrors that only make me more self conscious. And the best trainer ever. The moment you walk into Atlas it's like being a part of a family. You never have to worry about being creeped on. Everyone is so supportive no matter where you are with your training. Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been going to Atlas on and off for years now, only leaving for work reasons. There is ALWAYS improvement in equipment and opportunities every time I come back home and visit the gym. It’s a 30 minute discussion on upgrades and new equipment with Cameron every time. He runs the gym like a family, getting familiar with every member. The members are beast and completely open for discussion on techniques, diets and motivation. Highly recommend visiting and becoming a member.

Experiencia fantástica: As a powerlifter who utilizes conjugate, it’s been difficult to find a gym that has all the bells and whistles. I feel like atlas has everything that a lifter, of any status, from any category, would want. Plus, the owner has always been friendly, and respectful towards me (which, as a female lifter, that’s important), and he’s got the best doggo!

He’s incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the exercises he programs and will work with you on whatever individual goal you are working toward while tweaking your form to the smallest detail to avoid injury down the line.

Experiencia fantástica: I would like to start out by saying that the Atlas Strength Shop is a great place to train at any age. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I have been getting personal training from Cameron for the last couple of months to help my mobility as I get older. After going through my workouts I did not realize that some of my mobility has been slowly slipping away. I am now able to move in ways that I could not when I started. I would encourage anyone to get up and get moving again and I can not think of a better place to start than the Atlas Strength Shop.

Experiencia fantástica: It’s more a community then any gym I have seen. The gym is focused on weight training but expands on that with members taking part in strongman weekends and martial arts. There is guidance for the uninitiated available like myself. It’s not going to be for everyone, but it fits like a glove on folks who can see what makes it special. Owned and operated by military veteran.
