Experiencia fantástica: The Fergus Falls YMCA is truly a community event center. They host family friendly expos and events. The people there are friendly, supportive and great to work with.

Experiencia positiva: The weight room is exceptionally dirty…and it’s very warm down there which makes the no sports bras/crop tops dress code very inconvenient, the locker room is very nice tho

Experiencia fantástica: Friendly and well kept. Weight room is old school, with all the standard equipment and plenty of space. Sauna in the locker room. My two visits have been early on weekdays, and there seems to be a group of regulars who hang around for a parting cup of coffee in the lobby and may even offer a stranger a slice of coffee cake. Thanks, guys!

Experiencia positiva: Excellent value. The cost of a family membership with daycare is a lot less expensive than Fargo. The cardio equipment is world class with television and internet functions. The weights are nothing fancy and there is often a lack of plates, though it is rarely busy. The daycare staff do their job well for the generally - young staff that they are (too young to have children of their own). The front desk experience can be a bit frustrating at times, waiting up to five minutes to check in. Other times we enter with no wait. Depends on how overwhelmed the staff are. There is a full size basketball court that is split into two and plenty of basketballs. You can walk in and find grade school to high school age kids playing. There are often unaccompanied minors running around the gym, as daycare isn't available at the YMCA from noon to 4 pm in some seasons and daycare in Fergus (in general) is hard to find. In the summer there is no daycare at all after noon. I understand that this is part of the reason I pay so much less each month than I did in Fargo, though rates are on the rise. The workout classes are great and continually expanding. The pool is 25 yards and the water is always warm. No family locker room anywhere though. Instead, there is a locker room for young boys and a separate one for men. As a father of three young daughters, this is sometimes a challenge after swimming practice. A family locker room is offered in Fargo. The facilities are clean, but aged. Overall, the upstairs of the facility is nicest; the basement is nothing near nice. If you are going for a workout and want a great value with excellent cardio options (minus spinning) and adequate weights, this is the gym for you. In the town of Fergus Falls, you won't find a better rounded gym.
