Experiencia fantástica: I've been attending BJJ classes at BMAC since February and have been extremely impressed with the facility and instructors. Multiple Gold-Medal IBJJF champions and tenured athletes teach every class, and take individual attention very seriously to ensure each time you step on the mat you are improving your game. I've been to plenty of other schools in my BJJ career and I can say without a doubt this is one of the best, and certainly has the best learning environment for aspiring champions. If you're looking to get in shape, learn BJJ, or even compete in tournaments-- look no further; this is the best gym in Boston.

I went there looking to compete, immediately they gave me fitness recommendations, classes to take, and so forth. As a result I've lost 20 pounds of fat at this gym, and am proud to be competing under the BMAC logo.

The Muay Thai class is a great and fun workout, and I've been improving a lot healthwise and my physical fitness. The instructors are excellent professionals, very helpful and very knowledgeable.

The coaches/professors are wicked good on muay thai and jiu-jitsu. They train with former UFC fighters and helped them become a better version of themselves. If you want to become a pro or just get a great workout in come to this gym you won't regret it .

Experiencia fantástica: I had a really great experience at BMAC for the time my daughter went here. Marcello and his staff are world class citizens and teachers that want to bring out the best in kids. Not only did my daughter gain Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense experience but I noticed her confidence, social skills and respect for herself and others increased dramatically. She has ADHD and taking classes at BMAC helped with this in school. It helped her to be more responsible, treat herself, others and her parents with respect so bringing your child here at any age would be invaluable. I stopped only because I moved and my daughter wasn't sure she wanted to continue and Marcello was very honest and encouraged me to continue only if her heart was in it and she wanted to really stick with it. The graduations are amazing. I've attached a picture from her first graduation, this was a life-changing experience for her and in addition I really like that when kids make achievements in school or in life they are given a stripe at the end of a class and this reinforces positive behavior, it's really great. Can't thank Marcello enough. It's an honor to have met and know him. His own accomplishments in life, where he came from, what he's been through to where he is now are extremely impressive. I can't recommend BMAC enough, life-long value kids will keep with them for entire lives. It is a business but being apart of this organization does feel for myself and for the kids more like family.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely LOVE this gym, Marcelo and everyone there! I’ve been there for ten months now training jiu jitsu and I’ve learned so much from Marcelo and Alex. Their style of teaching allows you to learn at a fast pace while also perfecting the technique.

Experiencia fantástica: Choke your friends! Joined in Dec 2016 and its been a wonderful experience so far. Jui-Jitsu was my first jump into a fighting sport of any kind. It is awesome to see the camaraderie and respect from long standing students both on and off the mat. Marcelo delivers a lifetime of knowledge from multiple disciplines of fighting in many different countries to his students on a daily basis. Alex and the other instructors bring an unmatched enthusiasm and culture you will find nowhere else. I highly recommend this for anyone interested in learning how to become a fighter or just how to defend themselves in a fight and in the process you will discover friendship and maybe a better version of yourself. This is a wonderful family activity as well. My daughter goes to the kids class which is right before the adult class. Very convenient! Its wonderful for her self esteem and fitness.

In an age of required uniforms and short impersonal bjj instruction, BMAC is a breath of fresh air. Everyone can be themselves at this gym. Experiencia fantástica: Since I've driven by BMAC Somerville twice a day for eight years, I thought to turn 40 newly married with a baby on the way I should finally learn martial arts and go in. Three years later, I have learned more than martial arts with Sensei Marcelo's academy and his teachings, the professors and students have taught me how to get up when someone is holding you down. In my life, that translates so much more about handling my stress and keeping my self-safe.
