East Lansing Hannah Community Center

Experiencia fantástica: Cost effective gym option if you want to swim! My favorite work out is lap swimming, but the options are scarce in the Lansing area unless you want to pay a high cost or are lucky enough to live close to the Alfreda Schmidt Center (free lap swims!!). I found this community center near my home and with a payment plan as an out of district resident I pay $25 monthly for access to the pool and to the gym! The gym has minimal equipment and is fairly small, but it works for my desire to get active and try some things out. The pool is gorgeous and always fairly warm, the locker rooms are also well maintained.

Experiencia fantástica: I enjoyed a theatre production on the property. Very nicely kept grounds. Inside was very clean. Restroom was very clean. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Experiencia fantástica: East Lansing has a gem in the Hannah Community Center. This is a great example of a reuse to a closed school building. Here you'll find well apportioned conference rooms, an exercise room, theatre, even a pool. I've now attended several events here, and all ran smoothly and made good use of the facilities.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent community center, great place for seniors activities, working out in the fitness room, pool, and basketball court. Staff is very friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: Was a very place to have my granddaughters first birthday party. The price for the room was decent for the size and there was even a small stage where she got open presents & *eat her cake. *NO open flames so no candle~ safety first!

Experiencia fantástica: The Hannah center is so fantastic! They have a Beautiful swimming pool and nice showers. They have a Fantastic exercise room with a very nice variety of machines. Their exercise room is better than several exercise clubs. Their membership prices are so very reasonable. In addition they have several different activities they offer. It's so much fun to go there.

Experiencia fantástica: I attended the Early Literacy Event with my infant son. It was much bigger than I expected with live readings and multiple tables showcasing various activities at local area libraries. We got a few free books and some other knickknacks like pencils/magnets/etc. There are a bunch of other events at the community center such as art shows and different classes.

Experiencia fantástica: We held my father memorial in one of their smaller 2nd floor rooms. They were able to accommodate us quickly and at a fair price. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Not far from MSU campus by Burchum and Abbott Road. Has a pool, art gallery and plenty of rooms for memorials, bridal showers, pool parties, conferences and more.

Experiencia fantástica: There was an exhibit on display regarding the Civil Rights Movement. It would be an enlightening experience to go check it out before it is closed down. And it's free!

Experiencia fantástica: Cool old building that used to be a middle school in East Lansing. It Now houses a community center, with a 100+person theater full size pool, several gyms, and common rooms which accomadate all sorts of Community activities, they have a medium sized workout area, that is fairly well used, taken care of, and clean.

Experiencia fantástica: The City of East Lansing does a great job keeping this old building in great shape. Large green spaces where people place soccer. The gym seems to be well outfitted. The children's theater that performs in the theater is wonderful. The front desk staff always seem to be on top of it.

Experiencia fantástica: I used the pool for the first time and thought the full size pool was wonderful. It cost only $5.00 for East Lansing residents to use the pool. The pool also has a small pool basketball hoop, and some water slides.
