Experiencia fantástica: The Durham Downtown Y is a wonderful place. The clientele is all different kinds of folks, different shades, different economic conditions etc. The Y serves everyone. It is the world like I would want it to be. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Yes, the building is worn but I love it for who is there and the inclusive, friendly atmosphere. And, they are building a new bigger, better building on the same spot starting in Dec 2022 or Jan 2023.

Experiencia positiva: Is there a law of quantum physics that the steam and sauna cannot work at the same time as the steam and sauna at the Lakewood Y? The steam at Lakewood is down, and then, so as the sauna at the Downtown Y?

Experiencia positiva: 2 ladies up front were really nice, facities are ok. A lot of sick people here tho, if you're from out of town and heading west you might want to wit til the next ymca over in Almanace County, it's safe to breathe without killing peoples grannies over there.

People are good about wearing masks, too. I’m so thankful for our City’s (and our Y’s) careful attitudes towards masking!

Experiencia fantástica: BEST YMCA I have ever seen and used !! Highly recommend !! Very large facility with tons of services and the cost is very reasonable. I have lived in Iowa, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina and the Durham downtown YMCA blows away all of the YMCAs I have seen and used. None of them remotely even come close to this fantastic Y.

Experiencia fantástica: Took my first swim lesson yesterday at the Morgan Street Y and was pleased with the service I received. Jordan and Christian are both excellent instructors and the staff were all helpful and friendly. I'm so glad I signed up with the Y.

Experiencia fantástica: Great location. Family atmosphere. This location has 2 indoor pools, sauna, steam room, wellness center, childcare, 2 full basketball courts, indoor track, fitness studios, cycling classroom. Great instructors, friendly staff. This place is awesome!
