Experiencia fantástica: Been coming to this gym for about 2 years now and I gotta say I love it. The staff is kind and friendly and the atmosphere isn't intimating at all for beginners. Yes it's a little pricier compared to other commercial gyms but I never once had to wait for a machine or any equipment. From my experience every one practices proper gym etiquette and never did I feel discouraged during a work out session because there are definitely members who are competitors/ look like competitors working out near you. I've had positive experiences with other members in the gym and even had a few correct my form when I first started and gave me tips to help me better my lifts and optimize my work outs. All and all 10/10 would recommend.

Experiencia positiva: I've been going to Power Shack fitness since 2000. This is the biggest location of all the gyms. It's not new or shiny but if your objective is to workout? You'll like this gym. It has plenty of variety. Free weights or machines. Plenty of Elliptical machines for you. The membership price will fit your budget. I would be surprised if you didn't like it. The locker room could be upgraded a little but it's not bad and will suit your needs if you're not picky.

Wide variety of equipment providing great ways to train. Would recommend this location to friends when they visit from out of town.

Experiencia fantástica: Power Shack is an absolute well rounded gym. They have all of the equipment needed for SERIOUS powerlifting or body building results. Now this is where it gets awesome. The atmosphere is extremely laid back. There are members of all walks of life here. Older, younger. Bigger, smaller. It’s a quality gym with quality members. Trustworthy members that make for a comforting place to live the fitness lifestyle. I’ve been a member here for the last six years and I would never change gyms! Thanks power shack for providing an awesome place to call my gym!

I’ve been a member here for the last 2 years and prior to that I jumped from gym gym, trying to find a gym that is fairly priced, with clean equipment, good staff, and not packed. I can say that this a gym that has all of that. Rarely do I find myself having to wait on equipment and I’ve been able to consistently reach my goals with the equipment that they have. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I wanted to take the time to post and really just share how amazed and overly satisfied I am with Power Shack Gym in Hilliard. I’ve never been a member at a gym that takes the the time to know your name, where you work, how you’re doing and genuinely care about what you’re lifting. If there were more gyms like this, I truly believe it would make more people dive into their fitness and become healthier because they actually care about you getting physically fit. If you’re ever near the Columbus area they have four locations surrounding downtown in the burbs. Check them out and see what a real local gym should look and operate like.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been a member of this gym for six months and its a great place to work out. I wish I had joined earlier. Power Shack has plenty of free weights and power racks for lifters in addition to lots of treadmills and machines for cardio. They also have a hip thrust machine for glutes which is very effective. Power Shack is also well maintained. Its clean, and the soap and paper towels dispensers are re-filled promptly. Members are polite and do a good job of putting the plates back on the racks. The management and staff are friendly and responsive. This gym is a gem.

Experiencia fantástica: A great Weight-lifter's gym with a welcoming atmosphere for all walks of the fitness spectrum. Clientele is diverse, the customer support is awesome, it gets harder to leave the more i'm in there. Whether you're a machine person, free-weight, body-weight, cardio, competition lifter, casual lifter, Power Shack is where you want to be. I respect the management and member's proud passion for this gym.. you'll be hard-pressed to find a legitimate old-school (but also new-school because they have all of the latest machines) anywhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: The Powershack has a variety of equipment: deadlifting platforms and real squat racks. The staff and ownership are friendly and accommodating. Personally, I’ve never had an issue with billing.

Experiencia positiva: It's definitely a no-frills kind of gym but the staff are always friendly and helpful and they've got all the weight equipment you need for a good workout. Some of the cardio equipment is a little more outdated but since the gym is never full it's not really an issue!

Experiencia fantástica: Power Shack is the gym used by serious bodybuilding and weightlifting professionals. And the people are friendly. This place has more of the equipment you need and less fluff.

Experiencia fantástica: Ok... so this is an old stile hard core gym... like you can't find any more.... great machines (they look old but still work just fine), nice music and an real workout atmosphere.

Experiencia fantástica: People here are whiny. ANY real gym is not going to let you in to try the gym for free if you already have before. They also aren't going to let you out of a one year contract for free unless you move 100+ miles away. This gym has a friendly great staff, it's clean, has almost every piece of equipment you could ever need, and of anything breaks it's fixed in a day or two good. You won't find a better gym than this in the area. If you want to pay 10 bucks a month and not have a contract then go to a crappier gym like planet fitness. You don't get the best quality of things for lower rates. Ex) station wagon vs a mercedes; box hair dye vs professional salon styling; etc. Also this gym isn't even that much a month. Put on your adult pants.

Experiencia fantástica: If you're looking for an "athletic club" to socialize and network this isn't your place. If you're looking for a no nonsense gym with adequate weights and equipment with top notch personal trainers, Powershack is your gym.

Experiencia positiva: cons- First, They keep it COLD inside, I can't get my GF to go back because it is so cold in there, keep in mind it is 30 degrees and when I am not going to the gym I wear shorts and a jacket, but when I go to powershack I layer it up. Second, the place has been around 20 years, which for me is fine, but I know some people prefer new stuff, older stuff in my opinion has more character though the locker rooms could use some bleach and airing out. Third, dumbell pairs only go up to 100 or 110, anything heavier is mismatched. Pros- good array of equipment, plenty of weights and cardio, doesn't mind if you actually LIFT weights, you can use chalk (but clean up after yourself), aka this is more of a GYM than a "fitness room", even though I listed a number of cons it is still overall the best GYM in the area.
