Experiencia fantástica: Love this place for open water swimming on spring and summer season because this is only place to swim in charlotte area with the wonderful guard and a good price $10 per session on Saturday.

Experiencia fantástica: Y classes have a great variety with content & teachers. Every staff member greets you when you arrive or just walking around. If you are new, they help you find what you need. I like how the instructors introduce themselves. They are encouraging & always say, “listen to your body; do what you can do!” They are motivating & make me want to come back. I am always happy to go every day.

Experiencia fantástica: Mary works at the front check in and she is Fantastic. She is genuinely friendly and I don’t know how she remembers everyone’s names but she does. She greets everyone by name when they walk in, even if it’s 6am. Just posted this to say Mary is great!!

Experiencia fantástica: Great scenic view area in rear with stationary bikes to ride while enjoying the view. Outdoor pool has lots of room on the outside for events and seating. Staff is great and friendly.

But every my swim pool session I see people who puts off their clothes/shoes right in pool area and no shower before. Definitely this is not appropriate behavior. I believe that most of pool visitors agree with me. This is not hygienic. Dear management, please set the rule "no shower - no swimming" and the pool area is not dressing room. Thanks

Experiencia fantástica: My number one spot to get a lift in before work or after work. Not that much traffic, and an amazing staff. My new favorite gym in Cornelius. The only disappointing heart are the closing times, they close relatively early and open a little bit later. Not at 24-hour gym, however the southern hospitality of Staff is amazing and more family friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful facility, ultra-friendly staff and authentic community. Been going to the YMCA for about 5 years now and loving every minute of it. The indoor/outdoor pool is fantastic and they even have a beachfront that members can enjoy (with a huge inflatable slide and obstacle course). Workout equipment is new and spaced out comfortably. It's a close-knit community and there's always familiar faces everytime you go. Kids program is second-to-none, as well. Been taking my son to the YMCA for 3 years now. He loves his teachers, his classmates and all of the activities they do. They teach Christian values, as well, which is such a breath of fresh air in today's world. Highly recommend everything about this place!

Experiencia fantástica: My review is only for the lake access, not for the gym or workout facility. I saw on Instagram they have lake access on Saturdays from 11am-4pm so I came today to check it out. My membership is at the Dowd YMCA in Charlotte but I had no problem visiting this location! If you drive to the left past the main building, you'll see the lake access area and there is a small parking lot where you can park. There is a covered pavilion with picnic tables so you can bring a picnic lunch. There are also bathrooms and dressing rooms available for changing. Nothing fancy but it's nice that they are there! There is a small cove area where you can kayak, canoe, stand up paddle, or play on two inflatable climbing things in the water. They require everyone to wear a life vest which they can supply if you don't have your own. There was no cost to use any of the equipment! On a crowded day they ask you to limit the time you have the equipment to an hour, but on a slow day they don't care how long you use it. For the swimmers and kids, every hour they call everyone out of the water for 15 minutes, but kayakers can stay in the water. There are also plenty of lifeguards on duty. I counted at least 7. They station 2 lifeguards in kayaks at each of the inflatable things to watch the kids from both sides. One lifeguard stands on the dock and watches the kayakers in the cove. They even have a lifeguard ski boat that they send out to watch the kayakers who paddle outside of the cove. I felt very safe when I was there! This is definitely an activity place and not a beach for laying out and tanning. (Lake access is during the summer months, first day was mid-June 2020, Saturdays 11am-4pm)

Experiencia fantástica: We've been going here over a year now and have had a wonderful experience. The child watch is excellent. I've always felt more than comfortable leaving my kids with any of the people working in the child watch. They really are fantastic. I enjoy the fitness classes at this location as well.

Experiencia fantástica: What an amazing and clean facility! The staff there are really friendly and even gave me a tour of the place. My husband has been going here for months, but I just recently went today. I enjoyed the quiet workout area and the fact that while I’m running/walking I can see the lake. They have all kinds of added amenities unlike other YMCA’s since it’s on the lake. You can rent (included in membership) canoes, paddle boards and kayaks. They have a volleyball net, water trampoline and water slide. Plus, a great place to eat lunch outside! What a family friendly environment!

Youth sports programs are plentiful, the lake location provides access to lake activities, and the values focus of YMCA make for a welcoming place.

Experiencia fantástica: Just started a week ago and have loved every minute of it. From the relaxing yoga classes to the fun high intensity fitness classes it's everything I've needed. I'm a moron when it comes to fitness but that's ok! They offer a free health consultation to guide you on what is best for you and show you how to do all the exercise equipment. I Love it here! Best choice I've made for myself in years.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place to workout. Family friendly, great staff, and inclusive of everyone. They offer a variety of group fitness classes which I personally love. In addition, with your membership you can also go to any YMCA in the greater Charlotte area.

Experiencia fantástica: I like the LKN YMCA because they have riding bicycles that I can work out with outside of being in a cycle class. This allows me to work at my own pace and on my own schedule, to the tune of my own beat. I love it! There are two workout rooms, one upstairs, and one downstairs that is frequented by the "older" crowed. I was introduced to this room as I was looking for the rowers. They are in this room so that is where I tend to spend half of my time. The room has treadmills and free weights, along with the "older" machines. It's a nice quite place free of the constant dropping of weight on the floor.

Experiencia fantástica: Love the LKN Y. The staff makes you feel like family and the facilities are top notch! Being on the lake makes it one of the most unique Ys in the country. Their after school care is awesome for your elementary school kids and summer camp options are the best in the area (you need to sign up early, it fills up fast! And the only reason I share thos with you is that my kids are older...could be your kid's camp counselors soon!).
