Experiencia fantástica: Been a member at this gym for a little over a year, I took a work break in between but returned to the same gym because I really enjoy the flexibility of being able to come in after hours because the gym is open 24/7. For people who don’t have a regular work schedule it’s really convenient. The gym is also well maintained and clean. The staff is also very nice and helpful, always willing to help & answer questions during staffed hours. I am glad I renewed my membership with them!

Experiencia fantástica: Joined 5th Street Fitness about 2 years ago. The nicest gym you will find in the Iowa City/Coralville area. Clean, great equipment for any needs, and an overall great environment for working out in. Jeremy, the manger for nearly 8 years is one of the most respectful and knowledgeable gym managers you will find. Always greeting and socializing with gym members and assisting them in any of their fitness goals. Will never go to any other gym in this area!!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a member of this gym since August of 2021 and have loved it! Jeremy is awesome and everyone there is so friendly. The whole place is always clean and the equipment is nice. It doesn't feel like I workout at a gym full of strangers. It feels like I workout in a community!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been coming to this place for the last 4 years. I’ve been to multiple other gyms in the 319 area, and this one is my favorite. There are plenty of options for free-weights, machines, and cardio. Great spot for gym beginners or the experienced. Open 24/7. Jeremy is always personable, helpful, and makes you feel welcome every time you come in. Great spot for people with fitness or health-related goals and interests.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a small but well equipped (and well maintained) gym with a low key vibe and very friendly owners and staff. I appreciate the cleanliness and 24x7 access, along with the towels and water. Guests are allowed for a small fee, and my husband enjoys working out here too. Great gym that’s never too crowded.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve lived in Iowa city since 2005 and fifth street fitness has hands down been my favorite gym. I also love that they have two locations we can access now. The general manager Jeremy, has outstanding customer service and that’s a nice bonus to the facilities.

Experiencia fantástica: I was a member of 5th St Fitness for 2 years while living in Iowa City. I've tried many gyms over the years and this one is by far my favorite. There is a great community of people, but the gym is never too packed. There is a broad variety of equipment. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I will miss working out here!

Experiencia fantástica: So you've decided you want to commit to working out or you want to join a private gym where grown ups workout, well 5th St. Fitness is a diamond in a rough sea of over crowded and unkempt gyms. Great location in the center of Coralville, if you're in the 808 apartments it's unbeatable, still even a 10 minute drive is worth it. You also get access to Gilbert St. Fitness which is nice if you made poor decisions the night before at Elray's and need to sweat it out. The membership cost is competitive with other gyms in the area, though you won't have access to any classes. 5th St. Fitness has a wide demographic of members who are all very friendly, I can only speak for the morning crowd but it's generally 70-30 guys to gals and evens out more when school is in session. It's a 24 hour gym, easily the best and cleanest one I've been to. Personal training is available and Jeremy, who also is the GM, is a great guy that makes all the members feel welcome and ensures the gym runs smoothly. Word to the wise though he does not tolerate disrespect for the gym, equipment, or towards other members so mind your gym etiquette or kiss your deposit good bye. Ok now for what you're really here for, the equipment, the gym has very nice benches and squat racks, a deadlift platform and your standard set of machines and free weights. It's all in good working order, though the hip/thigh abductor and airbike could use a tune up imo. The only real con I can think of is that sometimes when it is really busy there are not always enough plates to go around but this has only happened once to me in the two years I've been a member. Last thing because it's going to come up, cancelation policy, this depends on what membership length you signed up for and I would highly recommend you pay attention during sign up when it's explained or if it's been a while ask the staff well in advance (a month and some change before your next billing cycle) what the policy is for your contract if you know that you're going to be ending your membership. Experiencia fantástica: Absolute GEM of a GYM! I'm in town for the week and inquired about a drop-in option and it has worked out so well! Ample parking, super clean, equipment is always put away, has everything I need, clean towels in abundance, spray bottles always full and ready to work, no one occupying machines just to text their boo, plenty of space, incredibly friendly staff... what else can I say?! It's been the perfect gym and I will absolutely make this my spot whenever I'm here for a visit! So happy I discovered this option :) Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Jerry the owner was a true delight! My husband and I came in town for a week and his gym is spotless, he truly cares about each person who comes in. He had to run out for a little bit while we were still there and he said goodby to every person before going, he truly cares and the gym is set up wonderfully! Definitely going to be coming back here whenever we are in town!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a member since the gym opened, and can't say enough good things about the gym and Jeremy, and all the staff. Gym is well maintained, set up fantastic, (cardio equipment and machines and free weights separated, but close) and atmosphere is perfect. More than inviting for those just getting into physical activity, but still enough of a great exercise vibe for those who serious. Fantastic blend of people! You cannot go wrong with this gym, whether your first time working out, or preparing for a major event.

At 5th Street fitness, I don’t have to feel that way! Everyone is so nice and the owner makes it a point to get to know you. I feel so welcomed! That’s just a bonus to the clean and conveniently located gym with plenty of space and machines for every workout.

Other members are respectful and cooperative. The general manager, Jeremy, knows members by name and is always friendly. This gym is a hidden gem in Coralville. Very happy I found it.

Experiencia fantástica: I was in town for a few weeks and needed a place to work out. I went to a few gyms in the area, but they could not accommodate me. Fifth Street Fitness did. Jeremy the general manager whom is also a ISSA Certified PT hooked me up with a short term use of the gym. They take cash here, some gyms do not. Great gym , they have everything you need to get a good workout in. Jeremy was very welcoming and made me feel right at home. Check out Fifth Street Fitness, I am sure you will like it.

Experiencia fantástica: With everything going on with Covid 19, I am so glad to have Fifth Street Fitness to go to to workout! They put member safety first with keeping a very clean gym. They make sure everyone is social distancing. And everyone gets a spray bottle and towel to clean equipment before and after use. I feel completely safe working out here to stay healthy and fit. It was a really comfortable space with equipment for all interests and abilities. I really enjoyed working out here and would definitely recommend it if you want a place to feel comfortable and inspired. :)

Nice, new equipment with plenty to offer anyone at anytime of the day or night. 24-Hour key card access allows you to come & go whenever it's convenient. Starting to offer classes & they also have personal trainers!

Experiencia fantástica: Great gym, I keep looking for negatives and there really aren't any. Personally, I do a bit of everything but I'm mainly into free weights. I'm very impressed at how they fit basically everything you could ever need in such a small space. Never crowded when I go right after work at around 6. Might as well check it out when your current gym membership ends as they have a very generous and fair trial period. If you don't like it you get a full refund, nice work 319 Elite Fitness!
