Experiencia fantástica: The ACAC gyms are unusually nice, and spotlessly clean. The equipment is fine and the staff are friendly. Best of all are the mind-body classes. Just doing yoga three days a week is in and of itself worth the membership fee. (Good instructors and congenial classes.)

Experiencia fantástica: I was a patron of ACAC for a little over a year before I left. I moved into an apartment complex that had a fairly nice onsite gym, and since this was free I thought it only made sense to leave. THIS WAS A HUGE MISTAKE. For two years I struggled to muster up any excitement about exercising, it became a burdensome chore. I finally came back to ACAC and I couldn't be happier-- it is remarkable how much of an impact an approachable staff and a tidy gym can make.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been using acac for a little over 2 months now. Everyone I've met has been so welcoming and helpful. Love the cycle classes and the work I've done with my personal trainer! It is always clean and never gets that funky gym smell. A little pricy, but in my opinion it's worth it.

Experiencia positiva: Overall club is excellent but a little expensive. The showers and locker room are dated and need modernization. Weight machines could be more diverse. Seems to have too many of some machines and missing others like a hack slide and standing glute press. Generally a good choice however.

Experiencia fantástica: Superior gym in Charlottesville. Clear pool/family schedule. The lifeguards/aquatic stewards are polite. (Everyone is polite at ACAC, but this would have been a huge sell to switch sooner had we known about the differences in gym culture, especially around the pool and childcare.) Always clean. The lighting is pleasant and the environment is warm and inviting. Highly recommended for their accessibility for the disabled and special needs families. The constant yelling and screaming allowed during swim practice at our old gym was very off-putting, and the quiet and calm at ACAC is a welcome change. I enjoy going to the gym again.

Decided to try the gym and it is also a great place to exercise. So much to do and there is plenty of space to workout. I highly recommend ACAC.

They follow protocol and make sure members are not endangering other members or staff. The selection of equipment is still very generous. You can complete most of any conceivable workout regimen with their equipment.

Experiencia fantástica: We just rejoined ACAC after taking a break during the pandemic and I am so glad we are back! The kidzone staff make ACAC so worth it. I have four kids (ages 2-7) and they love going there. The really nice thing about going now is that kidzone is pretty empty and they get tons of individual attention. Everything is clean and safe. Such a great place--I am so grateful to have somewhere for my kids and me to go indoors this winter!

On weekends barely a class, fridays, few options. Studio 60 needs more classes and after 6 PM too. Swim classes would be great after spinning but they are always same time or half way.. Would like to see belly dancing classes and more swim classes as well as spinning classes.. Great ambience.. love the fire place and lounge on roof. Showers are amazinggg

Experiencia fantástica: Easy access and ample parking. The KidZone staff has exceeded all of our expectations with our young son. We’ve been coming since he was 6mo and they’ve been great! Twice they’ve come to get us and both times were legitimate issues (cut toe, inconsolable). The gym is large with diverse equipment, the locker rooms are clean and the facilities well maintained. I expect to be a member for a while.

Experiencia fantástica: Really trendy, cool place. Rooftop pool and deck with fabulous views. Large windows all over. Located close to the downtown mall with shopping and dining within walking distance. Great variety of equipment and classes. Also, there's indoor pools!

Experiencia fantástica: Just joined in November. While still learning about all that acac has to offer, I am enjoying the variety of services, classes, workout equipment, and staff. After using the university facilities for years, I am finding acac to be a good value for the money. I am feeling comfortable working out there and going to the yoga classes which have been exceptional.

I really love the rooftop pool in the summer for a quick dip. The YMCA and studios don't even come close to offering the same value I get as an acac member. Love you, acac.

The rooftop is my favorite place to relax in the summer, and I've definitely been enjoying the food trucks! I love how involved in the community acac is; I see so many familiar faces and have met new friends through group exercise classes and special events - it feels like home.

I feel that the ACAC is able to offer an amazing amount and variety of group classes that are on par with or better than the many overpriced boutique gyms in the area. For what you get, the membership fee is very reasonable in my opinion. Would not consider another gym in the area.

Experiencia fantástica: ACAC has ruined me for all other gyms. The best class selection I've ever had, the friendliest staff, and the best amenities (the refrigerated lavender towels are my favorite). The membership fee is 3x my old gym, but it's more than 3x as nice! In the end, a much better value than a boutique gym, with the variety boutique gyms can't offer. I love it.

Experiencia fantástica: Love, love, love ACAC. I've been working out there for 6 years. It's well-maintained, the staff is friendly, the class schedules are kept up-to-date. Very well run. Oh, and the roof-infinity pool is amazing!

Experiencia fantástica: I enjoyed watching the sun set from the rooftop pool before relaxing with Hatha Yoga and Yin Yoga classes. The atmosphere is very clean and it smells good! They have a great studio for dance practice with bars and mirrors. The 30 days for $30 membership was great but the normal membership is too pricy to continue.
