Experiencia fantástica: I have to say I've been to other gyms and other ymca's . The energy and warmth this ymca gives you can't compare to other places. Everyone is so nice. Place is really clean, and I love the sauna and steam room!!

Experiencia fantástica: I accompanied my 13 month old son to his aquatic sessions. Overall it was a free will swimming class. No particular instructions or lessons. However, that is because babies/toddlers aren’t fully cognitively capable of following instructions. My 13 month old baby enjoyed swimming. It was his first class and for his age I was stunned that his natural instincts kicked in. He was flapping his little feet and hands. I was so proud! He really didn’t care for the toys. He just wanted to be in the water. The other parents were pleasant to converse with. The smiles on their faces as they interacted with their baby/toddlers was priceless. Staffs were friendly and attentive. Signing my son up for stage 2 swimming lessons.

Experiencia positiva: The staff is very welcoming, friendly and professional. As an adult in her 50's it is not easy working through the fear of being in the water. I previously took lessons at another Y but made little progress. The staff at the Roxbury Y has boosted my confidence and helped me overcome my fear of being in the water. I've gone from panicking in the pool unless the instructor was right next to me, to venturing into the deep end and trying things by myself.

Experiencia fantástica: Great facility! The staff and the reception area is very welcoming. I am a new member and have found this YMCA to be my favorite choice. I can use my health insurance membership here and the location is accessible by the MBTA. I will continue to attend the aqua aerobics classes for continued fitness and strength building. The aqua aerobics instructor is quite receptive and welcoming, as are all of the people who take the aqua aerobics class. I am pleased to be a part of this community. Come check the Roxbury YMCA out and consider joining!

Experiencia fantástica: I accompanied my 2 yo granddaughter several times recently for her swimming lessons when I was visiting from North Carolina. The front desk team and pool staff were friendly and the teaching style was perfect for a toddler. The pool and locker room facilities were great. I was impressed! So much so that I gifted a family membership to my daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters. One of the membership directors, Analisha, made it super easy!

Experiencia fantástica: The facility is one of the best in the 13 Neighborhoods of Boston. It has a basketball court, a swimming pool, bodybuilding workshop, boxing room, early childhood facility, lessons for swimming, basketball, boxing and personalized or customized training. Staff are helpful and considerate. There is a fee that you must pay to utilize the facility; however, seniors pay 00.80 cents/day.

Not only is he a great teacher of the fundamentals of basketball, but he emphasizes the most important principles of sportsmanship. I have seen tangible growth in my son's mindset and character as a result of Coach Doug's influence. Can't recommend the program enough.Kari Abdal-Khallaq
