Experiencia fantástica: The coaches are very experienced and care about their clients health and well-being. A lot of times in crossfit you hear about coaches that will push you through injuries and even cause some, Silver Strike Crossfit modifies exercises to fit you and your physical ability. I have a hip injury and they have been amazing about ensuring I get a great workout without causing further damage. Definitely come try it out!

Before joining CrossFit I was terrified of stepping foot anywhere near a CrossFit gym, it was intimidating and I just assumed I would never be capable of keeping up with other athletes and would end up feeling defeated. I’m now 2 years in- Coach Mike and Coach Heather are truly passionate about providing feedback and working with each athlete to perfect form and are very patient and encouraging. I love the environment, the people, the ability to modify and not feeling judged, and the encouragement! 10/10 Would recommend!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Silver Strike Crossfit is an awesome gym with great people and such a positive atmosphere! I have been doing CrossFit for 10 years and have recently had some health problems which affect my joints. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do CrossFit again but Mike takes the time to modify the workout to fit my needs. There is also a physical therapist (Loren Wooldridge-The Health Lab) who coaches there and offers pop up clinics for injuries. If you are working through an injury, this is the gym for you.

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say enough great things about Silver Strike CrossFit. I joined after a lot of coaxing from my husband about 4 months after I had a baby, and I was incredibly nervous. I've never been into working out, but the phenomenal coached at Silver Strike made me feel super comfortable, and explained every workout I did in incredible detail. They modify everything so I can do it in a way that is challenging for my fitness level, but not going to injure me. I feel so much stronger and healthier than when I started, and the community of people who workout with us is kind and encouraging. I highly recommend checking them out.

Experiencia fantástica: I love this place! I was super nervous to go at first, but within a few classes I became so comfortable. There is a feeling of acceptance once you walk through the doors. Everyone is willing to help you succeed at your fitness goals, and really supportive in getting you there.

Experiencia fantástica: I've always been intimidated by crossfit gyms and shied away from them. The workouts (and people) seemed so intense and I'm a bit of a soft body and have never really been "in shape". I saw an advertisement for Silver Strike's women only class and (after a lot of encouragement from my husband) I attended a class. Everyone I've met from coaches to other attendees has been incredibly welcoming and not once have I felt out of place. This is a great place to work out!

Experiencia fantástica: I went for a couple sessions in 2015 when I was in town for work and they had first opened. Amazing staff focused on safe movements, but good hard workouts. You could see how close their community was, if I’m in town again I’ll be back!

Experiencia fantástica: The owners and coaches are super friendly, knowledgeable, and CF classes are coached by official CFL1 trainers, and individual class coach names can be verified as CFL1 certified on the CrossFit webpage. Unfortunately, this is not true of other local CrossFit gyms' individual coaches in Carson City. All coaches at SSCF are very responsive to previous injuries/aches/pains and adaptations needed to make sure workouts are safe and effective. I have been a member of several CrossFit gyms in the past because of career travels and have had both good and poor experiences in the past at other gyms both local and nonlocal. SSCF has helped to bring back my passion & motivation for CrossFit. SSCF focuses on your own personal fitness goals, bringing together the CF community, establishing fundamentals, and safety first in a fun & welcoming environment.

Experiencia fantástica: These coaches were some of the first coaches I had when I started CrossFit in early 2013. Years later, I still admire their coaching abilities, attitudes, helpfulness, and encouragement. The CrossFit classes are coached by CrossFit Level 1 certified trainers. The classes are scaled to assist people at any level, from beginners, to injured, to those wanting to go heavier in weight. So grateful to have these coaches still in my life and encouraging my personal fitness goals.
