Experiencia fantástica: Great for vacationers and part time residents at Carolina Beach. Found them on the internet, door was open, read the sign, fill out the consent form, put your money in the envelope and start your workout. Plenty of equipment to get in a good workout.

Experiencia positiva: Stopped by on my way to a vacation rental for a quick training session. Great gym with a little bit of everything (cardio, machines, free weights). I really liked the laid back door-is-always open atmosphere and the outdoor space. Awesome spot that I will definitely visit when back in area!

Experiencia positiva: Bought the week pass at this local establishment. Definitely gets the job done as far as equiptment. Jen, the owner, is very kind and helpful from the beginning of the week till the end. My only complaint is the place is pretty rule oriented, although, this is to be expected at a smaller privatly run gym. Just make sure you put your plates back in the right spot and wipe everything down!

Experiencia fantástica: I came here while vacationing in Kure Beach. This gym has EVERYTHING and I was made to feel right at home. The place was super clean and organized. The owner, Jen, was awesome. So nice and welcomed me by name when I came in. I love that there was a week pass option for those of us from out of town. I sure do wish this was my home gym. If I’m ever visiting in this area again I will definitely be back!!!

Experiencia fantástica: My wife and I came here for a week and got a week pass to this gym on our first day and it was absolutely worth it. This is definitely a small gym, but everyone we met there was super friendly and it was never really too packed to work out. They have just about every machine you might want, and plenty of free weights to go around. They've also got an outdoor area and and a boxing type studio area if you're into that sort of thing as well. Prices for the day/week passes were totally reasonable, 10 and 30 respectively so if you need a place to work out while you're here I would absolutely suggest this place.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great gym! My husband and I are here for a week on vacation and got the $30 weekly membership. They have a lot of nice equipment. Free weights and machines, cardio, boxing, and even a small outdoor area. The staff is incredibly friendly. If we lived here we'd be full time members!

Experiencia fantástica: Great gym! It has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere!! It is very well equipped and and very hygienic! the owner Jen, couldn't have been nicer to me and my brother and showed us around the building and the equipment and even gave us some workout tips. This is the best gym in Wilmington/Carolina beach and would recommend it to anyone!

Experiencia fantástica: I discovered this gym when my wife and I vacationed at Carolina Beach last year and am visiting them again this year. If you're looking for a gym that is super modern with tons of equipment for the masses such as a Gold's Gym or Planet Fitness, this isn't the gym for you. But, if you're looking for a great gym that has all the equipment you need to get a complete workout, you'll find it at the Island Athletic Club. Gym management has proven themselves to be fantastic during my visits and I like the manner in which they operate their gym.
