With new owners their has already been many improvements in the machines and atmosphere of the gym. This will always be my spot when I am in Western New York and it is perfect whether you are a bodybuilder, powerlifter or just someone looking to get in better shape. This is the place for you.

I would still be in a dark place with depression . And the new owners are very friendly and actually make me want to come back every day

Experiencia fantástica: I was a member here before they temporarily closed and it has always been the best gym around. You can access the gym 24 hours with a fob and they have advanced equipment you can’t find at other gyms. The new owners are friendly, welcoming and highly informative. I’m very excited that steel mill is open again and I would recommend this gym to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible all around when I went there for the short time before they randomly closed without telling anyone but charged us anyway. Rude workers then the owner has a power trip and vans ppl for no reason also after charging them. All around just a cash grab gym. Glad they got shut down.

Experiencia negativa: Closed the gym with absolutely no warning or heads up, or attempt to even notify members of the closing day of - all while playing it cool and continuing to sign new members up and collect money for the new month dues. The only communication has been 2 extremely ambiguous Instagram posts with 0 information on what is going on besides “we’re gonna try to reopen but don’t have a timeline or dates”, obviously to pacify who they can so they don’t have to issue reimbursements from the money they’ve been collecting regardless of knowing they were going under. The owners are not good people. I’ve had very negative experiences with them including the wife being ungodly rude and pissy when I was literally trying to give her money for a membership. Prolly was rude because she knew the gym was going under but just kept collecting fees anyway. By comparison - gym where I am from is closing as well but has been letting members know for weeks as they slowly get rid of equipment.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible customer service. Paid for a month membership then came after my membership expired by one day, there was no one there so I asked if someone I saw could open the door in the morning, when I came back the next morning to pay I was told both me and the person who opened the door were permanently banned for this. Had all my friends cancel their membership afterwards because of the weird power trip, it’s a shame because it’s a gym with genuinely nice equipment it’s just that the owner is so unlikable they bleed money as a business.

Experiencia positiva: Much better space since the most recent move. I've heard that there is new management, which if that is the case is making a World of difference! Only issue I have had is finding parking, and getting blocked in due to other members parking all over the place. The police constantly park on the side of the building which cuts off visibility before walking into an active parking lot and can be quite dangerous. VERY icy lot in winter as well!

Experiencia negativa: The owner is a former trainer that worked at the original steel mill .. he is in no way shape or form a professional owner or businessman. If you leave a weight on a machine and perhaps you were distracted talking to someone he will walk up to you and threaten to revoke you membership..! The bathrooms are filthy and always backing up and machines are dirty as well..this gym was a throwback to a great time in bodybuilding and now this kid ran the name into the ground! Canceled my membership! I wanted to update this posting.. the gym moved across the plaza that it was in. All the old equipment is now the “new” equipment and the price of a membership is now 399 a year. I can’t imagine paying this high price when there are so many better alternatives.If the original owner would come back I would pay 500 a year. The place was incredible when he owned it

Experiencia negativa: I miss the old location's privacy. I also preferred the set up. I don't like people behind me when I'm doing certain work outs. WHATTT!??? $399 annual membership? It has more than doubled in less than 3 yrs! I had just bought the membership before the move. No one warned me. I wasted the money and never went bc the only time I could go was very late night or early morn. It's scary being in a lit building where people can watch you and you would not know.

Experiencia fantástica: I’m from out of town and had a couple outs to get a lift in. I called the gym phone and whoever answered was great. All my answers were answered. Get to the gym, the gym is a actual gym. Non of that rubbish you see when going to a branch gym. People here are actually working out HARD. Met the owner, Jon. He’s a great guy! If I’m ever in this area and need to drop in at a gym this will be my first option HANDS DOWN

Experiencia negativa: It is a gym, but if your from out of the area looking for a place for a bit, avoid this joint. When I called a gentleman was friendly and promised a tour. When I got there, the lady who "helped" me couldn't wait to get back to the paper she was reading and could not bother to get out of her seat to show me where certain items were. The equipment is different than I am used to, perfectly acceptable, but the help should have been there to get me by that. Took my $20, left me feeling taken... may be fine for a gym rat... others need not apply.
