Experiencia negativa: This used to be my favorite gym but after their change in hours and unnecessarily difficult membership cancellation I would never recommend anyone this place.
Experiencia fantástica: Group leader Erica lead my first HIIT class and it was great!! I definitely was out of breath and pushed me to my limits but she kept encouraging me and helping me push through!! She demonstrated each station and reassured us that we can do what we can and regress to what our body is telling us. It was a great workout!!
Experiencia positiva: I been coming to this gym for a few years now and I feel that it’s a good gym and I like that they try to keep it clean it’s not as crowded as other gym.

Experiencia negativa: I’m honestly so annoyed. They charged me over $90 AFTER I had cancelled my membership in August. The charge was made on October and I was completely unaware and baffled.

Me inscribí poe que me dijeron que podía cancelar la suscripción en cualquier momento, resulta que en dos meses nunca fui, ya me quitaron 33 dolares, esta vez me van a quitar 60 dolares de mi tarjeta y me dijeron que no puedo cancelar días antes de que me quiten el dinero de mi tarjeta de debito, tengo que cancelar un mes antes, osea si o si tengo que pagar y aunque quiero cancelar no se puede estoy leyendo muchos comentarios de personas que dicen que aunque cancelaron la suscripción les siguen quitando su dinero de la tarjeta, pedí hablar con el manager y el mismo dice que no se puede cancelar, realmente es un robo, nadie vaya a este lugar, les mienten para que se suscriban y después no les quieren cancelar la suscripción.

Experiencia fantástica: Went into Crunch Today because I’ve never heard of it before and was immediately greeted by Lewis. He was very nice and gave a great tour of the facility. I usually workout around 11am and I have to admit it is a great time to workout at. He hooked me up with a great deal on a membership and only $1 to start! If you guys get a membership at crunch make sure you ask for him!!!! He will hook it up.

I explained that I locked in the two year deal but they claim there's nothing on the record. The guy who signed me up must've lied to get me to sign. Very shady, I'd put my money in a more reputable gym.

Experiencia negativa: Buenas tardes hace un mes que me di de baja tanto por correo electronico como por teléfono hable con Zach y en un principio todo correcto me aseguró que ya no me van a pasar la mensualidad del mes pues esta mañana me volvieron a cobrar el de mi hermana y el mio aun llamando me tienen en el ordenador de baja me cobraron me contaron algo que no les entendí estaba contento en este Gym pero por motivos de fuerza mayor tuve que dejarlo y por lo que han echo no pienso volver al menos que me devuelvan este mes cobrado ya que segui sus indicaciones para darme de baja porfavor miren mi caso que noes justo pago por un servicio no para que me cobren sin usarlo.

Experiencia positiva: Quiet gym, has three squat racks, two benches, and all the accessory workout machines. Small section CrossFit training too. Came here on a Friday afternoon, and was able to get my workout in without having to wait for any machine. It's a pretty quiet crunch fitness that has everything you need.

Experiencia negativa: Be super careful about if your membership was canceled or not. I had to go in and ask 3 different times for them to cancel my membership and finally they said they did. I just found out 3 months later that they have still been charging my card. Nobody responds to the emails or picks up the phone

Experiencia negativa: This gym is absolutely god awful. You go in to cancel, they tell you that it was canceled, then they go and charge you any way. Calling corporate, or the gym doesn't help, and they make up some Losey excuses like the charge wasn't paid. Yeah it wasn't paid, I freaking canceled. Corparte as no idea what the heck they are saying. Just don't go here.

Experiencia negativa: WARNING: Do not sign up with this company. Everything was OK until I decided to end my son's personal training sessions after 8 months. Spoke to the manager "Mike" in November to cancel. He stated the biweekly automated withdrawal had been removed when I canceled with him in person. It wasn't! I continued to get charge. I spoke with him several times over the pho e until I stopped by in person March. He mentioned that they had other customers having the same issue and only the DM could cancel it. He claimed he had escalated the matter and would reach out in a couple of days. After a week and a half, no communication, he's either off or already left at 2pm weekly. After several emails he finally responded stating the matter was resolved. Later that week another charge came in and again this past Friday. They lie, horrible customer service and no follow up or communication. They got you once you sign paperwork and give them your bank information. AVOID the stress!

Experiencia negativa: HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. The manager, Mike, should be fired. I've been trying to contact Mike for over a month by email and by phone. I moved away so I couldn't walk into cancel. I keep getting the run around by the staff who make excuses for him. I finally had to call my bank to and report fraud. Also, there is no corporate number to call. DO NOT given them your bank account info because they will continue to charge you without your consent.

When I signed up, I was told the membership was month-to-month with no commitment—$1 for the first month and $25 per month afterward. However, when I checked my bank, I noticed they actually charged me $31 instead of the $25 we agreed upon. When I tried to cancel, the process was unnecessarily difficult. I called to cancel, but they told me I couldn’t do it over the phone and had to either email or come in person. I emailed the general manager, who then claimed I had to pay a ‘final month’ fee to cancel, which contradicted the no-commitment, month-to-month terms I had been promised. Despite asking for clarification, I never received a response. Eventually, I went in person after work, and a staff member at the front desk had me sign a paper to finalize the cancellation. This experience left me feeling deceived, with unexpected fees, misleading information, and a confusing cancellation process. I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone looking for a straightforward, flexible membership.

Just recently , I called to renew my membership for the same price I have been getting since the gym opened and all of a sudden they want to raise my price over $100 To renew my membership. According to the GM it’s not worth keeping their regular members unless you raise the price. If I’m going to be paying the price of a commercial gym I might as well go there for their updated equipment that provides a sauna and a stream room . Since new management came in this place has gone down hill. Went from a 4.8 to a 3.4 star. Don’t recommend and won’t recommend this gym to friends or family

Experiencia negativa: Crunch doesn't seem to fail when it comes to not giving refunds. I've been trying to get a refund for a double charge on my card from them & they have yet to refund me. To top it off, they are (not so subtly) waiting tor me to forget so they don't have to issue a refund. Scummy business practices are the name of the game for this gym. I would highly recommend another gym instead of this dumpster fire.

Experiencia negativa: Crunch Fitness LM definitely does not fight the stereotype of gyms making it impossible to cancel your gym membership. It should be as simple as cancelling from your app, but I followed protocol and emailed the manager. Despite being promised a reply multiple times, there's been no communication. I was told that the manager receives "thousands of emails a day". Great way to let you know you don't matter! Don't waste your time joining here, making it difficult to cancel your gym membership and ignoring requests to cancel is a predatory practice and they should be ashamed!

Experiencia negativa: Do not sign up here for your member! It is not worth it. Gym is small and there staff is unprofessional. I tried to cancel my membership after a couple months and I was informed that I couldn't cancel because it was a year contract that they had signed me up for and the guy who assisted me never informed me of that. It's been a year now and I was charged AGAIN another anual fee when I was not going to renew. I called the gym to get refunded because it doesn't make sense to be charged TWO anual fees when I had already been charged one when i signed up. The man who answered was nice but he informed me that was the last anual fee and I was done paying. I told him that I was never told there was two anual fees and he said there might be a change that I won't get refunded that charge. Now I'm going to have to follow up with my bank if charges aren't refunded. This gym sucks and their membership is a scam and if I could give it no stars I would. DONT SIGN UP HERE.

Despite visiting for many weeks, I have repeatedly encountered this issue. Experiencia negativa: Warning for college students: avoid the scam of crunch employees walking around. I was supposed to pay only $1 but ended up paying $150. Here’s what happened. Two crunch employees were walking around campus and were attempting to get people to join. The deal was $1 for one month, and I even asked about the commitment, cancellation and all that and they said there’s nothing to worry about as you can cancel whenever as long as you paid the $1. This was an Amazing deal as I could try out the gym so I signed up. Some weeks past and before the due date comes of 20 something dollars, I contacted the gym to cancel my membership and they said ok. For some odd reason I still got charged. I kept emailing and attempted to contact them but no response. Few months later apparently I have to pay $150 and now all of a sudden someone wants to communicate with me. I even explained the situation of what the employees told me when signing up but the worker on the phone told me completely something else. Either the employees on campus had no idea what they were saying, or it’s just a huge scam to get some money from college students. Moral of the story, never trust the $1 month trial from crunch. They won’t leave you alone until you pay the large sum of money. It’s honestly stunning how the large cooperation wants to loot off money from college students. This even happened to my friend who signed up for this too. I made sure to spread the word around campus so students don’t get scammed. Even if your not a college student and your just a regular person thinking of signing up here, DONT! The cancellation process is horrible and they’ll make sure to charge lots of money then they’ll make you pay it in order to cancel it. I would recommend going to another gym.

Experiencia negativa: I used to love crunch. precovid, back 2020. the staff used to be great and the membership was worth it. recently i opened up an account and the manager Alex harassed me regarding dues and fees. he will stay some disrespectful stuff back. he was the one that forced me into getting something i never even wanted or used. worst management team. he throws some very bad indirects as well. i will be going to corporate about this considering he doesn’t wanna cancel my membership after asking him plenty of times to.

Experiencia negativa: Don’t sign up, this is a scam, is easy to sign up, but when you try to cancel your membership then all of the sudden nobody is able to help you, I thought I cancel my membership on September 2022, but I come to find out now, after I close my bank account that they still have me as active, they have been calling to get my new bank account information, and everytime I tell them that I cancel I get the same response oh I can’t help you with that please talk to your gym manager, this position it has to be fake, since their is never a manager to talk to, Idk if this person even works, as his never in the gym or they have been avoiding people when they hear I need to talk to your manager, so I highly recommend not to become a member of any Crunch fitness unless you are 100% this is your one and only gym for the rest of your life

The managers to busy flirting with staff and won’t give you regional managers contact info, they are afraid of you complaining on the gym so purposely hide or deny regional manager contact information

Experiencia negativa: Equipment is broken and not fixed for months, even after it being reported as broken :( ac is barely on even in the summer. Friendly environment and cheap monthly are the perks, but the cheap monthly payments show on the equipment.

Experiencia negativa: 100000% agree with other reviewers. The manager harasses your guests for like half an hour to force them to get a membership. I have the pass where I can bring guests and after my guest refused a membership for 30 mins (because they wanted to try out the gym first), the manager changes some stuff in the computer system and says my guest can't enter today because they already entered that specific club too many times. MY GUEST HAD NEVER BEEN THERE BEFORE. He needs to understand that there is a fine line between being a persistent salesman and sleezy harassment. I have never experienced this in any other Crunch, or really any other business.

Experiencia negativa: They are cheaters. Staff are rude and irresponsible. Please do NOT waste your money here. Trainers are under-qualified and the manager is too rude- he seems he doesn’t care about customers. They are cheaters. Even one star is too good to this gym.
Experiencia negativa: NEW CLIENTS BEWARE: I have been a member for 5 years. Over that time the staff continously does not open on time. Members are waiting up to an hour for someone to finally open the gym! Our members are on strict schedules, often times rushing to workout and head to work. The membership I have is a part of the Prime Fitness plan, my plan is provided by my employer, we have 9,000 members, I am considering meeting with the board to have Crunch fitness removed as a vendor. This is unacceptable. The Machines below have been broken for MONTHS. No attempt at fixing them at all. UPDATE: ONCE AGAIN A NO SHOW TO OPEN ON 7/1/23....

You can tell who the low class losers are because they leave their gum in the urinals and showers and not in the trash can. Absolutely disgusting. If you're exploding all over the toilet you need to not eat so excessively and practice control, there's something seriously wrong with your eating habits and it'll destroy your insides and body. It is a marker of high stress. It's already showing in the toilet. If you have to wipe more than 18 times per restroom trip and you have explosive bowel movements cut back on everything, carbs, fats and protein, you're eating way too much. If you can wipe less than 8 times you're doing very good with eating efficiently and healthy. Cardio for an hour or more greatly improves digestion, like nothing else, yes an hour, nothing less or it won't be as effective, make sure you're breathing somewhat hard and sweating every time.
Experiencia positiva: Eh? Not a convenient gym to do decline free weight presses. I like being able to hit my whole chest in a single spot while rotating exercises and positions from decline, flat, and incline... I have to move to the crunch machine for a solid decline, or do the declined bench press stations... But it still doesn't allow for an easy rotation of various chest exercises, such as flys and pullovers. The gym hours is mostly convenient, I've only once forgotten about their 7pm closing, but their also close enough to Norwalk. They got row machines and stationary bikes, so this is my go to Crunch gym in the area. Its your average budget friendly gym.

Experiencia fantástica: My review isn’t so much for the gym itself, but for Sean H, the personal trainer. He’s very professional and knowledgeable in what he does. I trained with him for 3 months and had such a pleasant experience. I learned a lot from him and hope to continue learning. Such a cool guy! Crunch management, give this guy a raise! Thank you, Sean.

Experiencia negativa: The gym itself is decent, gets fairly busy in the afternoon. But the manager that helped me my first time visiting was quite rude and did not help me in my situation. He could care less, he just wanted to collect money. I've heard from other members the same thing about this manager. Customer service can make all the difference with the experience.
Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to this gym for about a year and a half and have been a crunch member for about 4/5+years. This location has been pleasant to go to. The staff are great and the music (although I prefer to listen to my own) is generally quite good. The general crowd of the gym is on the younger side since they are close to Biola university but you do have your mix of age groups. What's kept me a member for so long is they're one of the better priced gyms that also offer free weight options. Many other guns would charge you 4x to 10x the price with less to offer.
Experiencia negativa: Horrible management, I’ve requested for my membership to be canceled for months and the manager literally told me he canceled the membership recently, and I got charged today absolutely ridiculous.
Experiencia fantástica: I like its 24 hour-operation during week day. I just grab water and my gym bag from my home and visit here to slay my body while I was studying my college stuff. Sometimes, I had to study and do homework overnight. This gym allow me to workout 2am in the morning. I could be fresh again then continue finishing homework.

This gym doesn’t even deserve a review but I’ll do it anyway. Would you like to workout in a puny dumbbell section space by the restrooms with no walk space next to a stank smelly brute grunting his heart out using broken, ran down weights with sharpie indicating it’s weight? Well join now! You will also have a hard time trying to quit this gym. IT OUGHT TO BE FREE to workout in this sorry excuse for a gym. Feels like the Burger King play place and even that location is a better spot to catch a workout in. Pathetic employees too. Don’t even get me started on the overall feeling of griminess this gym has to offer. Join now to be scammed and even disgusted in a way. This gym scarred me for life to say the least

Experiencia fantástica: I'm not usually particularly fond of gyms. I used to have access to a gym at my workplace and the ONLY reasons I used it was: 1. It was free; 2. It was free; and 3. On busy days, there may have been 2-3 other people present tops. I liked the quiet and my own space. BUT my long-time friend introduced me to the Crunch Fitness gym and I took the tour. I happened to go during Member Appreciation so I ended up starting a membership AND saving a little money. The Staff there are the right combination of hands-on and respectful of your independence. I get nothing but encouragement from the moment I enter the building to when I leave. The membership comes with online access to your plan, such as scans of the exercise records you completed with your trainer, and nutrition goals and meals. The trainer is extra but it is worth the extra money, at least for me right now because I need to make sure my form is correct and which exercises are best for what I want to achieve. There are other branches of this gym scattered across LA County and while the La Mirada location is a but farther than another location, I prefer the atmosphere. The company motto is "No Judgement" and I feel the La Mirada location excels at this philosophy. The Staff actually takes the time to learn your name and a bit about your life. They get to know you as a person because people use gyms, not robots. With my premier membership, I can use any of the branches (as noted above) and can attend unlimited days. There are always classes to take though classes vary at locations. My premier membership also gives me access to 1 session of hydromassage per day, which is the perfect way to end your workout.

Experiencia negativa: they took 900 dollars out of my account. I had hired a personal trainer for three months and I had cancelled after those 3 months were over, they told me they were gonna charge me for the last month and that I still had 4 sessions available, they never charged me. 3 months passed and they take 900 out of my account! Yes I have those 4 sessions available but now I don’t feel comfortable going to a gym where they can take my money for whatever reason. Don’t go to this gym will be cancelling my membership soon

Experiencia negativa: Poor communication. Signed up for a membership here. Ended up getting duped for hundreds of dollars by lying to me about workout sessions. They fail to respond to me and won't return any emails. Update 5/2/21 I can't speak to how much I am livid at this terrible gym. Their logo is a snake and it serves them best to portray it how shady and untrustworthy they really are. They're taking hundreds out of my account at one time. They took over $250 out of my account this weekend so I can't even contact my bank because they're closed. I called the store and lo and behold the manager isn't in there and I can't even speak to corporate or anything like that because it's a franchise. They have taken close to $800 of my hard earned money and I'm not even done with my year membership. They will lie straight to your face when you sign up, and it will be the manager doing it. This past year I have worked with almost every single gym and I have never seen anything like this. I'm going to have to take this franchise owner to small claims court if he doesn't refund my money. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE. Look at all my reviews they're extremely nice and I like to support local business but this place is just a giant snake pit of shady people, especially whoever's in charge of charging the accounts. DISGUSTING business practices.
