Experiencia negativa: Disappointing. Unfortunately this gym is not worth the money they charge you. Before you are even 4 months in they charge the “machine repair fee” which is $70. Then, if you cancel before 12 months you get charged another fee of $75 (cancellation fee). Plus your normal bi-weekly fee, it’s just outrageous for having been at the gym for 6 months. Experiencia negativa: Please think carefully before subscribing to this gym. 1) They told me it was $22.90 a month, when it's actually every two weeks. 2) Two months after starting, they charge you $70 for potential machine repairs. 3) When you want to cancel, you have to pay $75. On the other hand, the gym is small, has no music, dirty walls, dirty floors, and old mats, all soaked with sweat. Honestly, I'm very disappointed with what happened to me. I don't recommend it at all.

Experiencia negativa: Called the phone to cancel membership was told that I have to go inside and not have to pay anything once I arrived at the building. They told me that there was a $75 cancellation fee. I was not informed of this the week prior that there would be one I was told as long as I went in by the 22nd I wouldn’t be charged. I’m moving and they do not offer fitness 1440 in my new city.

Experiencia negativa: Despite turning off my auto renew, emailing with customer service, and visiting the location in person to make sure my membership is cancelled, Fitness 1440 has still withdrawn more than $90 from my account within two weeks. I was promised a call from the owner to remedy the charges and not only did I not get a call, they then charged me again. They claim to be customer centered but are unresponsive, shady, and dishonest.

Experiencia negativa: It's a good gym if you like smelling methane gas. I've been here over 8 months even tried to contact owner about but no response back. When you try to cancel membership they throw a extra month in. They said they needed a 30 day notice plus the extra payment. I haven't used the gym In two months. I'm happier now at planet fitness. It's cheaper and way more cleaner.

Experiencia fantástica: Dropped in here from Atlanta to train on July 4th. I forgot the gentleman's name but he was very helpful. Easy check in process for drop on. Clean gym and for someone serious about lifting and sculpting without all the extraness, this is for you. If I lived I n Nashville, I would definitely sign up there. Great mix of equipment, not too packed, and clean. Weights are worn, but they work.

Experiencia positiva: Decent amount of squat racks and free weights, and having a sauna is nice, but it seems like many of my fellow members do not understand proper gym etiquette, which is not ideal. Also, there’s a weird divot in the floor by one of the squat racks that makes deadlifting tricky. But on the plus side, I seldom have to wait to get on a squat rack and it’s conveniently located.

Experiencia negativa: Plenty of work out equipment, just kinda wish they would clean the air vents, black dust all around them and doesnt look like the filter, or filter cover has ever been cleaned or changed. Dont really wanna be breathing that in while im working out. Its a pretty gross gym but you get what you pay for.

Experiencia negativa: Since late last year—around the time they introduced yearly contracts—it’s been increasingly disgusting and messy. I've shared my concerns with the manager, but there’s been no real improvement. Their response (staff shortages, visitor impact, etc.) doesn’t give me much hope for change. I’ll update if things improve before I have to cancel. The videos were taken on different days over the past month. All parts of the gym are nasty; I just spend the most time on the one in the videos.

Experiencia positiva: I liked this place for being pretty laid back and having all the basics I needed without being too intense, but boy did they give me a hard time discontinuing my membership when I left town. That left a bad taste in my mouth.

Experiencia negativa: this is a laughably bad gym. it’s never staffed. i’ve been sitting at the front desk for 45 minutes during open hours and nobody’s here, so much for the premium membership. all the doors are still unlocked though, they’re still open. the first time i came here, there was a bandaid in the tanning bed second time there was no toilet paper third time i couldn’t use the premium membership benefits because they closed 30 minutes early the equipment is really poorly kept, everything in here looks 20+ years old and seems to never be cleaned. there’s no updated machines, if you’re an athlete looking for anything outside of a turf area and free-weights, do not come here. i wish i would’ve chosen any other gym than here, this is a joke, i’m going to be contacting my bank about blocking any further charges from this place because this is not the agreement i was told when i signed up at all.

Experiencia positiva: I dropped in here for a week while in Nashville on vacation, and I was super impressed! There’s lots of equipment, pretty much everything you could ever dream of machine wise - including some really nice Hammer Strength Machines. The barbells were pretty good, but definitely starting to get worn out. A few of them were bent, and could stand to be replaced, but the plates were awesome! Lots and lots of bumper plates to work with, so that’s great. The side room that’s set aside for free space has a really nice artificial turf, and it was awesome for sled pushes, walking lunges, etc. I will say though that side room fills up quite fast at busy times, making it a little harder to find space to work. There is a small section for dumbbells, which feels very small when you have someone else trying to train there with you. I wouldn’t call the back area, changing rooms or bathrooms the most clean, but not bad for a public gym. My preference would be to offload some of the less than necessary machines to make more space for more squat racks, to give the gym a more spacious feel with more versatility, but that’s just my preference. Overall, I was very happy to be able to train here. The prices seemed fair, the staff were helpful, and I got some awesome training in on vacation.

Experiencia fantástica: So I did not join this club in order to get into better shape, but it could easily happen here.I joined to be able to get access to a shower and sauna or steam room; possibly even a hot tub. I got the highest level membership which allows me a travel pass and to go to any 1440. At the moment I am a flex officer security person. Having access to a place that I can go and relax at any time is wonderful. Hopefully my trips can be planned near a route that takes me to a 1440. Long road trips often make for long hot shower needs. This is a welcoming and economical option.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been intimidated by gyms my whole adult life, but this place is very welcoming for beginners. It's never too busy or crowded, probably because its available 24/7. Since its located in a strip mall, parking is never an issue. The staff are incredibly knowledgable, helpful, and friendly. If you're looking for a good gym with all the equipment you might need, or just looking for a place to start, I highly recommend Fitness 1440 South.

Experiencia negativa: The gym is out dated and kinda dirty. There are holes on the wall and wet spots everywhere. I’m not sure it’s because the gym is in lower income area, that is why it doesn’t get the care it deserves?? This is not okay and safe environment

Experiencia fantástica: Visited here with my fiancé on a 6-day Nashville trip. Staff at the gym were kind and welcoming (shout out to the manger, Marcus.) The gym offers both day and week passes for guests, as well as 24-hours access for members. We had everything we needed! Plate weights, Olympic weights, Turf Area, Hammer Strength Machines, etc. At the entry you can also purchase Pre and Post Workout Drinks cold from the fridge. Lockers are available next to the restrooms to secure any items brought with you. Everything was kept clean (vacuumed and mopped) and there are cleaning stations located throughout the gym to make it easy to wipe off any equipment after use. Highly recommend checking this gym out whether you’re visiting, or a local!

Experiencia positiva: Good gym for the size for sure’ Clean but I would say there’s no staff at night & that’s when all the weirdos”” start coming. The flooring in the shower was done by an amateur. pressure is not that strong & get a better shower that is a simple fix ! But if those things could get fixed I would give 4 star overall but you can’t change the fact it’s not viable to have 24 hour staff which I understand but it would be 5.

Experiencia positiva: As far as the staff goes the trainers I encountered were very professional and enthusiastic and a great help for the short time I was using this gym. Now the reason for 3 stars has to do with the management. For work purposes I was out of town for quite some time and wished to cancel my membership but wasn't able to come in and do so and then had a very unprofessional argument with the manager who was extremely rude told me I had to come into cancel my membership in person although since then I found out I could have done so over email. This lack of professionalism is unacceptable in any business and the level of disrespect towards a customer that man had was outrageously uncalled for. I will not be going back and I would caution others before going themselves.
