Experiencia negativa: During the pandemic I called to cancel my membership. I called and spoke with an employee and the owner on 2 separate occasions. While trying to cancel with the owner, she tried to convince me to put the membership on pause, I refused. She still sent me to collections for $200 in which they will never get because I cancelled my membership and it’s not even affecting my credit. Money hungry owners. I would have went back to them had we ended on good terms but instead I took my business to LA fitness. Stay away!

Walking in as a guest, I was thrilled to find that the daily pass was only $10—an unbeatable price compared to many other gyms. At first, I was unsure about the gym’s size, but once inside, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it was laid out. Despite being compact, it boasts an impressive variety of equipment, far more than I expected. While some of the machines are a bit outdated, they still function well and get the job done. The lifting bars are of varying styles, which could take some getting used to, and there are only two squat racks, but I never found myself waiting too long. The treadmills are a bit limited and dated, but that’s a minor trade-off considering everything else the gym offers. What truly stood out to me was the atmosphere. The music selection was on point, creating a motivating vibe, and the cleanliness of the facility was impressive. The staff and fellow gym-goers were friendly, adding to the welcoming environment. It’s clear that The Worx is an important part of the local fitness community, providing a great space for people to train without unnecessary frills. Do NOT sign up for this gym unless you want to be locked into paying for the service FOREVER. We moved two years ago, called to cancel and sent in multiple letters - they REFUSED to accept our cancellation and stated we had to cancel in person. I explained that we moved out of town and that was not possible - they didn’t care. They have continued to charge us every month for two years!!!!!!! Don’t make the same mistake we did!!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: I can’t wait until April 2025 where the bill will go into affect which prohibits them from making you jump through hoops to cancel. I have called and sent in letters multiple times to cancel and they continued to bill. I haven’t lived in the area for almost a year now. If signing up was as easy as cancelling this place would be great. Needing a written letter to cancel and not even letting me cancel when I go in person is ridiculous! I didn’t listen to the multitude of one star reviews, and paid the price.

Honestly been hating this gym recently because it seems like the owners don’t care about the equipment we have but Dan has made every effort to get us equipment in the gym like the lat pulldown attachment. Honestly this gym has potential but it seems like we get hand me downs and never real equipment that isn’t broken with a band aid on it. I have no clue why this gym even charges me 50$ annually just to not fix anything. Absolutely enraging but Dan has actually made me feel like this gym will progress.

I tried speaking with your general manager twice today and every time he starts to realize he is wrong on the issue he starts pretending that he cannot hear me, presses a bunch of buttons on the phone, and hangs up on me. Please contact me to resolve this issue by 9/6/2024 or I will be taking my complaint to the State of Florida. One thing in particular that I appreciate is how Dan makes everyone feel welcomed. He works hard to ensure the gym is clean and the weights are in the right place. He has a great way of briefly speaking with all the members while keeping up with maintaining the gym.

Experiencia negativa: Read the reviews - the owner is a scammer. He is consistently over billing his clientele and also imposes ridiculous requirements for cancelling your membership. I worked out here using the guest pass and can't comprehend how this place has a 4.6 star review. Apparently people are coerced into writing 5-star reviews when signing up (most likely for a free t shirt). This is a one star gym (old, beat equipment) with a one star owner. I'd be very, very careful handing this guy your bank account information. Again, read the reviews. This guy is a borderline con-artist.

Experiencia negativa: I have been here for a couple years now and I can honestly say it has gone downhill. The smell of sewer rips through the gym it’s unbearable. The way they try to fix it is by opening the doors, doesn’t work. Equipment is always broken and when it gets fixed it not done right or it is just a bandaid. I’m waiting for the day for someone to get seriously hurt by equipment failure. They keep charging maintenance fees but I’m not seeing much done. Best part is that’s it’s not to busy… everyone I knew here left to LA fitness or crunch because they couldn’t take it. Worx gym… you’re lucky if any of the equipment works!

Experiencia negativa: Pros: *It's open 24 hours. Cons: *It's dirty. *It's a high school gym. You'll be surrounded by young kids with imaginary lat syndrome and foul mouths. They will gather in groups and sit on a piece of equipment for an hour. *They don't allow you to keep your gym bag with you. You have to store it up front, unsecured by the entrance, and walk back and forth anytime you need something out of it. *Takes forever to fix anything broken. *Re-racking your weights is not enforced. Sadly, this is pretty common in most gyms these days. Most of the free weight equipment will have weights pre-loaded on it.

Experiencia positiva: I have been coming to “The Worx 24 Hour Fitness” for about 8 months now and it took me a while on how to rate them. Between all of their locations I would say that the management neglects the FishHawk gym the most. Leg extension machine has been out of order for a month now, WiFi services to gym goers have been down for 2 weeks, between the hours of 3 pm to 7 pm the front desk staff just lets anyone in. I would say the rating of 3 would be accurate. If I could do a 2.5 I would because 50% of the time the employees enforce the rule’s and the other 50% they could care less and watch streaming services.

Experiencia positiva: Have been going for a few years, has consistently gone downhill. Unfortunate to see missing pins and barbells. Some machines appear to have been disassembled, such as the leg extension. Others are always sticky and covered in resin, like the hanmer strength shoulder press machine. The gym often smells of sewage and garbage as well, especially in corners near the back doors. At least 2 treadmills are always broken, and the motors are very worn. These treadmills then move slower than the indicated speed. One upside is the variety of equipment. The equipment that is not broken is pretty good, and they offer machines that other gyms may not have, like a lying leg curl. Another upside is the employees, who are all very nice for the most part. Finally, they market an affordable $15 per month. When the additional maintenance and annual fees are accounted for, you are really paying $25 per month. The business will sometimes overcharge your monthly fee or incur additional fees randomly. It is disappointing to see the first location be abandoned, but I have seen some maintenance done in recent months. Hopefully this gym improves, as more and more people I knew left for Crunch/LA Fitness. No hate meant.

All of their friends are here and they get to work out together. I even made friendships at this gym by just settling into their community. I highly recommend this gym. It’s more personal then other gyms I have been to.

Experiencia negativa: Was a decent gym for the price until cancelation time came. I was well aware of the cancellation fee policy/ notice and had no issues paying. The young lady at the front desk called the owner to double check the policy to see if I still had to pay the annual fee considering I wouldn't be there the rest of the year. They declined which makes them jerks, but whatever. Policies are policies, I get it. I had every intention of rejoining in the future. My problem IS THE WAY I COULD HEAR THE OWNER SPEAKING TO THIS GIRL WHO COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE THAN 17 YEARS OLD OVER THE PHONE. This young lady was almost in tears apologizing to me. For being a small business expanding in the area I hope they do better in treatment of their members and employees.

Experiencia negativa: I was past my contract date. Called to cancel membership as I was not using this gym. They said I had to walk in to do it. I sent my son who was a member to cancel. They still needed me to come in. Next thing I know I have a collection company calling me demanding $148 cancellation fee. Absolute nightmare. There is no reason why they shouldn’t cancel your membership when you request it, take their fees, and move on.

This should be a valid reason to cancel membership but that wasn't good enough for them. Sent letter stating to cancel membership but apparently this did not get into system so here we are 3 yrs later and still not resolved. Incompetent front desk on every level

Experiencia negativa: Very old equipment and you have to wait until your machine/bar released by someone during your workout iterations. Very bad. I just register and cancelled with whole lot payment of 40$ registration + 15$for tag activation + 45$ annual fee + 25$ cancellation fee , which I feel myself wasted the money by joining the gym.

I’ve been going to this gym for years and it’s been a great place to workout with my friends and family! But a small place! Equipment too close to one another, waiting on summer and kids taking over place and phone in hand while serious members waiting.

Experiencia negativa: We saw the advertising of a $20 membership so thought we would join for our 2 months in the area. Ipon signing up we were told that it was $120 total for the 60 days. We were also told that one of us would click in and one would sign in. We left confused with not much of an explanation as the guy working the counter was not super friendly. Later, when I was sick and my husband tried to go by himself, he was told to leave as I needed to be there. We NEVER would have signed up in the way we did had we known. The eqiupment here is so worn out and cluncky. Save your money and find a newer gym with better customer service.
