IK Gymnastics (Gym B)

Experiencia negativa: Please spare yourself from going to this gym. I am sure the programming is excellent. That said, we received a confusing and aggressive set of emails from them today. See the attached photos if you don’t believe the below. We received not about payment for classes, which I missed (and I admit to be scatterbrained) and this happened previously; so, I understand. They then sent an email saying that we needed to “pay or be banned”, and I emailed back that I was confused as we have never been to their gym (so, how could we be banned). And then they decided to note when we last visited their website (2 weeks ago). I asked for clarification again - saying if we pay we are but if we don’t we are banned or we were just banned. When my husband chimed in to ask if we could pay immediately, we received another baffling email.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter has been doing gymnastics at IK for almost three years now. My other daughter did classes for about a year before deciding gymnastics wasn't here thing. My son did classes there in the younger room and then transitioned to the older class. We love this gym. Yes it is pricier than some other places. However, I feel like my children have always been taught in a safe, systematic way. They aren't doing skills that their bodies aren't ready for which I really appreciate. Everyone who works at IK is so nice and friendly. My daughter has been lucky to make friends in every class she's been in and is always excited to go to gymnastics. Overall we've had a great experience and it has helped my children to be strong athletes in other sports too.

Experiencia positiva: If your kid has ADHD, good luck not getting kicked out. Their young instructors are not equipped to handle these kids and will be sending them to time out every lesson you pay good money for.

Experiencia negativa: This place is good for kids but their management is worse than terrible. They don't tell you anything and just un-enroll your kids at the end of their terms and programs and leave you hanging if you can't find a spot. They have no care at all for their regulars.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter has been attending IK gymnastics for more than a year and she loves all her teachers. She has learned a lot since she started and is always sad if we have to miss a class. Luckily the policy is flexible as we’re allowed makeup sessions for missed classes.

Experiencia positiva: I enrolled my daughter here for a few schedules/sessions and it was an experience. The staff here is very supportive and friendly but it’s the nature/pettiness of some of the parents. We spread out to watch our kids through the glass (outside) and no matter where I stood I always found a mom who wanted to stand right in front of me! And some of the little girls in my daughter’s class didn’t hesitate to whisper and point among each other when it was time for her to go up in front. Diversity is important but not at the expense of my child’s happiness.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter has been practicing Gymnastics at this place for 8 years now. This place is amazing and the coaches and staff are very nice and kind. I recommend it to anyone who needs to have their kids practice Gymnastics. They are very professional and serious too.

Experiencia fantástica: I enrolled my 3 grandchildren: an awkward and shy 10 year old girl and 2 active boys (6 and 8 years of age). The staff was very accommodating when I explained an error I made on the computer ( enrolling the two oldest and not the youngest). Now all three are having a great time. They look forward to their classes and can’t stop talking about what they are learning. They all want a trampoline to reinforce their learning at home.

Experiencia fantástica: What an incredible place! After several years at another gym I brought my girls to IK Gymnastics. They were placed in classes according to their skill sets, and immediately started to build their level of conditioning and stamina. There are several assets to this place. First among them is the mission of the founder of IK and her superb coaching staff. They are all experienced gymnasts that can show and demonstrate proper technique and they know how to help your child feel included in the drills no matter their ability, regardless of the noise level from all of the excitement in the room. Spectacular facility and support staff!

She has learned so much in the past 2 years and I love how much confidence it has given her. The desk staff is always kind and helpful & indulgent of my toddler's frequent questions as well.

She has learned so much in terms of gymnastics skill, but I am most blown away at what she's learned in terms of focus & determination. The staff has filled her with passion for the sport & constantly works to develop her confidence in her own abilities. She loves her coach and the girls on her team have become her best friends. Her little brother can't wait to start the pre-school class this week!

Experiencia negativa: YOU WILL PAY THE ANNUAL FEE, AND THEN YOU CAN NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD INTO THE CLASSES, BECAUSE THEY ARE FULL.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my neice to this beautiful facility and was very impressed of how professional it was. Coaches seem to be very well trained and very attentive. Over all great experience
